Nice place to spend one week . Fairly quiet considering the area . Everything in there . Great kitchen with spices coffee and other things Confortable . A bit dark inside with no direct sun light but it did not bother . I recommend .thank you

Rob, thanks for the visit! You have discovered why we call the south side of the Courts the "shady side". It is great in the summer when the sun is right overhead but the trade off is less natural light for part of the day...granted there is a fantastic beach 100 steps away so the unit is all about sleeping and eating! The location was perfect for what I needed. I stayed with my 14 year old son and we had everything we needed within walking distance. We could hear the waves from the bungalow. Kara’s description captured it perfectly. We had chairs, boogie boards, towels and umbrellas. It is absolutely an older building with updates, similar to most in the neighborhood. That means the floor is a little uneven and you can hear the neighbors above, outside and on the steps. But the kitchen was well stocked for the few days we stayed. We had a hard time finding the closets (in the wall in the living room) with our late night check in and Kara was quick to respond. We also had an issue with the TV and Kara was again very responsive to help troubleshoot. For the price it was just what we needed for a quick stay. Thank you!

Cute little place, only 5 houses from the Boardwalk/Beach, the Bay is not even a 5 minutes walk. There's good amount of places to eat within a 5-15 min walk either direction and many more if you go a bit further. We ended up walking everywhere and we're not big walkers at all! It was really great to not have to deal with parking and to able to be steps from beach/bay. Some beach items, chairs, etc were provided, which was very nice as well to get the full beach experience. The dedicated parking spot was pretty darn tight and was expected/in the description of the listing. Know that all parking by the beach is like that. Only 4 steps to get into the bungalow on the first floor. Would stay here again!

Great spot, short walk to the beach and downtown PB. The space is nice, super comfortable bed. Though we couldn't figure out how to pull out the sofa in the living room. There is one parking space that is pretty narrow, anything bigger than a mid size SUV might not fit. Otherwise great stay.

Great location. However, if you are a light sleeper I recommend you bring ear plugs or not stay here on a Saturday night. You can hear every foot step and conversation - it is muffled in general so it just depends on how much that would bother you at baseline. However on the Saturday night there was a party above us and literally I felt that I was at the party - I could identify the cell phone ring tone and understand most of the conversation and hear every foot step. Only after you book do you get an email about "property is equipped with NoiseAware technology" which is the only clue that for light sleepers this may not be great. The bed was really comfortable at least . The beach supplies were great - 2 light chairs that you can wear like a backpack, boogie boards, beach towels. The supplies are in the living room closet which look like fake window shades by the way, not like a full length closet.

Estelle, sorry for the noise. We have added rugs upstairs along with "no shoes" in the unit that seems to have really helped. We actually do not have Noiseaware in this particular unit and it is meant to curb parties not for measuring normal noise. The location is great! It is a perfect place for 1-2 people. So close to the beach and convenient to restaurants and shops. The wifi was great, which was important to me since I was working while there. I had an issue with a malfunctioning carbon monoxide detector. Kara was responsive early in the morning and had one brought out and installed that day. I would totally stay here again.

We had a great experience in this place, the apt was clean and had all the commodities that a family needs, I love that the decoration was pretty basic and minimalist and I appreciate it more cause I have a toddler so I didn’t have to worry about him breaking something, location was great, close to the beach like literally 150 steps and close to a lot of restaurants. It was great to walk to Bellmont Park and so close to Sea World. My second favorite part after location was the private parking and how safe it felt. We hope to get back soon.

Loved this location - so convenient to spend days at the beach and many walkable spots for coffee, drinks, dinners, and groceries! Also use of the chairs and boogie boards was great! Would definitely stay here again and recommend the spot. Glad they gave a warning on the small parking space to consider when choosing a rental car.

Unfortunately we needed to cancel our reservation as the unit did not contain a listed amenity (AC) and SD was experiencing a bit of a heat wave. Kara was kind enough to grant us a refund due to the circumstances, so no complaints there. With that said, if you are looking for a well kept unit steps away from the sand, you should consider this property.

I did love being so close to the beach though. We also had construction noise above us that started early. That won’t last at least.

The location of this unit is awesome! It's a short walk to the beach or the bay and there's many restaurants and shops within walking distance. We kept the car parked in the carport (tight parking so I definitely would take a compact car!) the whole time we were there and walked everywhere. The unit was exactly as described and Kara was very responsive throughout our stay. Basic toiletries, linens, beach gear, etc. was provided. The bed was pretty comfortable. The unit was also very clean. Generally the street was quiet and most neighboring units were considerate of their noise levels. On our last night, we had loud upstairs neighbors (loud pacing, jumping, and running) but we mentioned it to Kara at checkout and she followed up with them. Ben's Place is a great option for staying close to the water.

Not too much I can say except: perfect stay. My dad lives inland but due to Covid I couldn’t stay in his community. So a beach pad 20 steps from PB would have to do. Spent almost two weeks here and settled in nicely. Got into a regular routine of runs on the beach followed by a sunset dip in the ocean. Being so close, I’d be back at the apt. and taking a warm shower before going hypothermic! The apt. has the full gamut of beach amenities (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, but I didn’t get a chance to fully indulge. If you want a legit PB experience, can’t go wrong with Lara’s place.

Aaron is a great host! He is very quick to respond to any inquiries about the property or any questions you may have come up while you are staying there. The fire pit has a secret trick. If you follow the instructions and it still doesn’t work, ask Aaron to give you the special instructions. Location is perfect for beach going. Woody’s restaurant is walking distance and so is Ralphs grocery. The place was very clean and had an updated kitchen/bathroom. The “windows” with shutters in the living room are the closets. It took me a second to figure this out. Overall, we had a nice stay and Aaron was a great host.

Love the location! It was very easy to find a nice spot on the beach where you are not too close to other groups especially with COVID going on. I noticed the closer you got to Belmont park it was a lot more packed on the beach and in the water. So this location was a perfect spot!

This was the perfect Airbnb for our weekend getaway! The location can not be beat, you are less than a minute from the beach and have mission bay on the other side of mission blvd. You can easily walk to the main area of PB for a drink or food. We will definitely use this Airbnb again!

The space was what we expected. Very close to the boardwalk and beach. You could walk to anything you needed. The neighbors were quiet and the views were great. The parking spot is tight; we had a 4 door sedan and luckily my husband can park a car. The couch isn’t the most comfortable but the bed was great for sleeping.

This unit is in a great location, very short walk to the beach and CLEAN. Bed was comfy. Parking spot was tight (2011Acura RDX) but awesome to have. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards and umbrella were all great to have as well. This unit except for the few amenities that were having issues, was a good value. The patio needs some kind of light to make it more enjoyable. My amenities issues: Pictured for this unit was a TV in the bedroom. It was out for repair, normally I would not care but I was there with my daughter and her friend and I was going to give them some privacy in the evenings and not be under foot. Betsy responded quickly when I called because I thought maybe it was stolen. Turns out it wasn’t working and they were dealing with a warranty issue. This was unfortunate but this didn’t really help my lack of a TV. Also shown was a outside propane fire pit( which I was very much looking forward to) After messy with it for more an hour and not able to get it to work, I called Betsy, again she was very prompt in responding. She offered the unit next to us fire pit which I did manage to get working. Yay! Unfortunately it was pretty late by then and we called it a night. We were looking forward to using it the next night. Unfortunately someone arrived in the unit the next day so we could no longer use it. There is no light on the outside patio in this unit which makes the patio pretty useless at night without the fire pit so that was disappointing. I did request maybe the use of some bikes D/T my inconvenience and Betsy did offer use some bikes but they turned out to be unusable

Alissa, thanks for the thorough review. We are going to add some outdoor lights to the patio. TV has been replaced in the BR so we have 2 again! We have opted to drop on-site bikes since the rent-by-the-hour bikes and scooters are so prevalent and inexpensive that they make having ones available moot.

So many special touches...being at the beach, they made sure there are chairs, towels beach equipment, ice chest...so nice not to have to go purchase that. the place was cute, and clean..we would stay there again! 50 steps to the beach and walking distance to the strand, full of food and fun! Thank you for a great experience.

Location is great, the condo is updated and was clean. Like the easy access of not having to deal with a door key... if back in the area would definitely try and stay again...

This is a spacious little place. It was comfortable and roomy. All the towels and l Blankets we needed. And a well stocked kitchen minutes from a grocery store. This was near a quieter part of the beach, so not over flowing with tourists play. I lived the keyless entry system, no keys to lose or manage! Checkin and checkout was a breeze. Awesome pillows on the bed too. All around a great place to stay.

Apartment is exactly as presented. Easy walk to both the ocean and the bay. Use of the bicycles and beach equipment.was great. Parking space was a big plus. Any questions were answered within a couple of minutes. Great neighborhood. Would certainly stay there again. Aaron and Betsy are great to deal with.

Exactly like the pictures. 500ft or closer to the sand. I used to live in PB/MB area and this is exactly what I expected and hoped for in a beach condo in SD. All the essentials are included, and more that I did not utilize, so I am sure you will not be disappointed. I stayed by myself, but it would be great for a couple - also, there is a pullout/convertible type couch that could fit one or 2 people for a night.

This spot is wonderful. Very close to the beach. The neighborhood is pretty calm. The apartment is nice. Enough space for two adults and two kids to be completely comfortable for an entire week. It’s less than a minute walk to the beach. We spent every morning having coffee and watching the sun rise without any hassle. The restaurants within a five minute walking distance are a huge plus too.

Location is key... steps to the beach ( you can hear ocean waves), close to the boardwalk and restaurants. Quite neighborhood and an assigned parking space is a big plus too. Apartment is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay... will be coming back! Great communication with the host!

My family and I enjoyed Aaron's place for a week in August. Aaron and his staff were very responsive to our needs. Check-in and check-out were a piece of cake. The place is newly remodeled and has all the amenities you need for a beach vacation. Beach towels, umbrella, beach chairs and boogie boards were all on-premise. They even supplied a pack-n-play for my 6 month old. My only gripe would be the umbrella was broken so it would fly away if it was extremely windy (which happened a few times). The location was perfect as we were less than a block away from the beach. I had to do some work throughout the week and it was great having such a short walk back to the place from the beach when something came up. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
