Best Airbnb I have stayed in. The pictures are exact. It was steps from the beach. Many restaurants and Ralph’s grocery store within walking distance. It’s super CLEAN! All appliances are newer. Bed is comfy and it’s quiet. There is nothing negative to say about this property. I never had to contact Kara about anything because everything was well explained and in working order. I will definitely stay there again next year for our annual trip to San Diego. Thank you for everything Kara!

Great location! Steps from the beach and boardwalk. Within walking to distance to a bunch of restaurants and Ralphs Supermarket. Apartment was clean and well appointed with everything you could need. There was an air conditioner in the bedroom which we did not even need at the end July as apartment stayed nice and cool with the windows open. Would love to stay again our next time visiting our daughter in San Diego! Thanks for sharing your home with us Kara!

This little gem is tucked just steps to either Mission bay and Mission Beach. A short walk to the grocery store and we were able to cook in the equipped kitchen . The portable air conditioner in the bedroom kept the apartment cool. It is also nice to have a place to park your car. Perfect location for a beach getaway for a couple.

Very close to the beach, and clean. Asked about an early check in, host said we could check in early, then when they gave us the link found out there was a $20 per hour charge to check in early. Walls and ceiling are on the thin side, any movement upstairs is heard. Host was responsive and friendly. Overall I would recommend and stay again

My fiancé and I had an excellent stay at Kara’s Airbnb. Instructions were very straight forward and it was just steps to the beach. The provided beach chairs, towels, and umbrella were so nice to use. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. It was so nice to stay in mission, as we did not hear the loud crowds in PB, however when we did want to wander there, it was just a short walk away. Would love to stay here again!

Nice place to spend one week . Fairly quiet considering the area . Everything in there . Great kitchen with spices coffee and other things Confortable . A bit dark inside with no direct sun light but it did not bother . I recommend .thank you

Rob, thanks for the visit! You have discovered why we call the south side of the Courts the "shady side". It is great in the summer when the sun is right overhead but the trade off is less natural light for part of the day...granted there is a fantastic beach 100 steps away so the unit is all about sleeping and eating! The location was perfect for what I needed. I stayed with my 14 year old son and we had everything we needed within walking distance. We could hear the waves from the bungalow. Kara’s description captured it perfectly. We had chairs, boogie boards, towels and umbrellas. It is absolutely an older building with updates, similar to most in the neighborhood. That means the floor is a little uneven and you can hear the neighbors above, outside and on the steps. But the kitchen was well stocked for the few days we stayed. We had a hard time finding the closets (in the wall in the living room) with our late night check in and Kara was quick to respond. We also had an issue with the TV and Kara was again very responsive to help troubleshoot. For the price it was just what we needed for a quick stay. Thank you!

Cute little place, only 5 houses from the Boardwalk/Beach, the Bay is not even a 5 minutes walk. There's good amount of places to eat within a 5-15 min walk either direction and many more if you go a bit further. We ended up walking everywhere and we're not big walkers at all! It was really great to not have to deal with parking and to able to be steps from beach/bay. Some beach items, chairs, etc were provided, which was very nice as well to get the full beach experience. The dedicated parking spot was pretty darn tight and was expected/in the description of the listing. Know that all parking by the beach is like that. Only 4 steps to get into the bungalow on the first floor. Would stay here again!

My daughter's (ages 17 & 20) and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were visiting from Chicago for a college visit. The location is and price was PERFECT! Only a 2 min walk to the beach and boardwalk. Restaurants, gift shops , stores and bike rentals all within walking distance. Very nice area I felt safe taking walks in the evenings with my girls. Super clean and the owner responds quickly to any questions. I give this place 5 stars and will re-book again in the future.

Loved that this place was so close to Mission Beach. They provided very clear directions to find the place which was very helpful. The parking spots are tight, but our Nissan Rogue fit just right. It’s a very lively neighborhood, but everyone seemed to respect the quiet hours that start at 10PM. A few things that didn’t work was the fire pit (the knob was missing & it was impossible to turn it), and the air conditioner didn’t work. We turned the heat on the first night (which worked) and tried to turn on the a/c the next day and it wouldn’t turn on. The heat just stayed in the house & it was muggy our entire stay. I would suggest they just throw out the ottoman. It has too many stains & is too off putting to actually use. Overall this is a great place to stay, great proximity to the beach, just needs a few fixes.

We had a great time at the beach! This place really is right there where you want to be. Some have complained that the parking is tight, but it is such a relief to have a dedicated space. My only complaints are that we had a little bit of bad luck but the manager was very responsive. We got locked out due to the door key thing running out of battery, but they sent someone within the hour. And the listing specifically said there was a high chair, but it wasn't there. They dropped one off the next day though. Also, we were excited about the gas fire pit but couldn't get it to work even after trying to get some help from the property manager.

Very impressed with level of cleanliness. No sand in the cracks not even in the shower. You are literally less than 30 steps from the beach so the location was perfect. There were extra blankets which was nice since my kids slept on the pullout. The ONLY thing was that you can easily hear neighbors above you talking. Overall I would stay here again!!

Great location! About 6 houses from the beach & couple mins to the Bay. Neighbors were very friendly & helpful. There's no longer a bedroom tv & the firepit needed a repair, but otherwise it was a nice stay. My Ford Edge fit in the parking spot, & Aaron is always quick to respond.

Property is clean and comfortable but appointments are very basic. As an example if you are a serious cook there is a basic level of of pots and pans and cutlery and you will have to do a lot of improvising. Lighting is very bright and harsh, no dimmers and only 2 lamps.

Wir erhielten vom Vermieter genaue Angaben zur Übernahme der Wohnung ohne persönlichen Kontakt. Hat alles bestens geklappt. Die Wohnung befindet sich an ruhiger Lage nahe vom Strand, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Die Wohnung war sauber, aber etwas muffig. Lag wahrscheinlich am Klima. Der Aussensitzplatz war leider nicht sonnig, sei er aber im Sommer. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Wohnung allgemein ist gut und zweckmässig ausgestattet. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchen. Die Wohnung ist leider etwas dunkel und ringhörig (Lärm von der darüberliegenden Wohnung).

We were very, very pleased with the location (so convenient to everything) and the condo was just as advertised. Super clean and the folks managing it couldn't have been better! Kitchen was nicely updated and had everything we needed. Loved all the fun beach stuff - chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. We really enjoyed feeling part of the neighborhood. Met some nice folks as we watched the sunsets each evening. Parking was just as advertised - very tight. That was the only part we struggled with a little - making sure we didn't hurt the rental car. But we were so grateful to have parking provided so nothing to complain about.

Apartment was very clean, perfect location, well equipped for beach and surfing. Communication was also very prompt which I appreciated. My only feedback was that the mattress could do with a refresh; we’re both still in our 20s but after a week of surfing it was a bit weathered and thus rough on our backs. Overall a minor thing, the apartment was perfect for our needs.

What was really key for me was that all the pictures in the property listing was exactly the same when we showed up. Ben's Beach Bungalow turned out to be the perfect rental for two grandparents and an adult granddaughter. She attended Comic Con in San Diego and public transportation was convenient, safe and direct to the convention center. We enjoyed walks on the beach, neighborhood stores and restaurants, and relaxing meals on the patio. We were tourists for much of this stay and appreciated the convenient location. Aaron made our stay enjoyable and quickly and completely answered our questions. This is a unit that has just been remodeled and was as clean as our home, comfortably decorated, and equipped for you to enjoy the nearby ocean. This is a busy busy neighborhood with lots of families, teens and college students so lots of activity on the beach and there are many family outdoor meals on nearby patios. However, about 10 PM the neighborhood is very quiet. This unit and location turned out to be perfect for us and we would return.

We stay in Mission Beach a couple of times a year and often change units for the sake of novelty. But we may never do that again! This unit was just perfect. It is a large 1BR (most of the 1BR's in Mission Beach lack any living/dining areas or have kitchens that are just unusable). This unit has so much space. Kitchen was well-stocked, 2 TV's (no fighting over channels) and an actual dining room table to sit and enjoy the 6 windows in the living area of the house. The outdoor patio is perfect and also spacious. There is a grill and fire pit along with lounge chairs and a picnic table. We typically bring our bikes but there are ones included with this unit so we took the small car and left the bikes home. So nice to travel light. There is an assigned parking space and (like most of MB) it was small and the alley is tight but even our mid-size SUV would have fit. It is so nice to reside in a space that someone clearly cares about! Thanks to Betsy and Heather who made our stay perfect!

Wanted a mini vacation close to the beach. Ben’s Beach Bungalow fit the bill. The short walk to the beach allowed us to enjoy the water and sunsets. Available chairs and toys were great for us and our granddaughter. A minor negative was that we couldn’t watch TV because it seemed like the neighbor’s remote may have been controlling our monitor. TV would turn on and off randomly, and the channel would change. We had to use our laptop instead.

Very nice little property, super close to the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Has a hide a bed in the living area that was comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.The only negative was parking - they are not kidding when they say the parking spot can only accommodate a small vehicle. My mid-sized SUV was not possible to get into the space. It is extremely difficult to find other parking in the area if you find your vehicle won’t fit.

Loved the location of this condo, a few steps and we were on the beach. Everything was clean and welcoming. Bed was super comfy! I cook a lot and the kitchen was not stocked to well with cookware. No baking dishes at all, or cookie sheet, pans were a little worn, but we managed. Bought my own bake ware in pacific beach and gifted to my son when we left. I suppose while on vacation most don't bake lol This would not keep me from renting here again. The grill was great. We could never get the fire pit to lite. Probably user error. Owner and agent were quick to respond to all my questions. Looking forward to returning some day! PS when looking for beach chairs, irons extra bedding and closet space, look behind large shutters in living room.....we were not that observant and had to call and ask for chairs location! Found the iron and ironing board there too, along with books and games, Nice touch

What a GREAT find for San Diego's Mission/Pacific beach area. SO close to the beach and place was spacious and inviting for a couple. Location was perfect for eating out, grocery shopping, activities/exploring (with & without the car), and Aaron was great to work with--very responsive! Nice having full-size kitchen for cooking as well as a dedicated parking spot. Visit San Diego every year...this is my new go-to place to stay. Bottle It Up!

Never been to San Diego before so I was naive to the location but it was incredibly close to the beach and walking distance to many coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Parking was difficult to find initially as I arrived after dark but the property manager was incredibly quick to call me after messaging him (like less than a minute) which I appreciated. Couldn't find a bottle opener so that's the only recommendation to add!

We were beyond pleased with this property. It was perfect for our little family and came with everything you need! Beach equipment, grill, dishes, and it really is only 87 steps to the beach!! What more could one ask for?!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay steps away from the beach. Aaron’s place was perfect....a place to park, everything we needed in the bungalow, cute patio area with fire pit, and great beach access with tons of stuff in walking distance.

Nice spot, big enough for 2. Maybe update outdoor seating to make it a bit more comfortable outside. Otherwise no complaints.

Perfect clear communication with Homeaway. The place is small, but everything you need is there. Very clean and comfortable. Tiny walk to the ocean. Only problem is the tight parking spot for our SUV, but you can find street parking as well. Great for two people.

Ben's beach bungalow is perfect for your SD vacation. Right in the heart of PB with all the great bars and restaurants nearby. The unit has everything you need. The bikes and the beach furniture are great touches. Aaron the property manager is always available and very responsive. Will definitely stay here again!

Only 86 steps to the beach, close to everything. Parked the car and never needed it again until we departed. Very nice place and quite. Front door access very convenient. Definitely would stay there again.

Great little place!- couch pulls out for a nice sleeping area for one adult or two kids. We were surprised at how big the living area was and our family of four fit comfortably. Quiet porch and close to all our favorite spots. The AC in the bedroom was amazing!

Ben's Beach Bungalow is close to everything. Perfect location! We loved that the condo included boogie boards, bikes, beach chairs, etc. Made packing our car easy. Aaron and Betsy were so helpful and accommodating.

Our family had a great weekend at this beach home. Perfect mission beach location! Everything is close by. Great spot to park the car and leave it safe in its spot and go everywhere on bicycles. The bikes provided are in excellent condition and the house has everything you need to enjoy the close by beach. Great fire pit and bbq in the outdoor living space. Will stay here again someday soon!
