I LOVED THIS PLACE!!! It is so incredibly close to the beach! You just walk past two houses and you’re already there! Right next to all shopping places and the best food! The home itself was very clean and had great amenities on hand to use. The bed was actually extremely comfortable. The host is great and always responded extremely fast and was always very nice. I would definitely recommend to stay here!

This apartment was just right for me! Just what I wanted, just a few steps to the beach. The convenience in the area, you can walk wherever you need to. It was nice and super clean. Quiet area. If I’m back in the area I would look into it again. Parking was tight as it says but wasn’t bad and also super convenient.

Such a nice place to stay- literally a few steps from the beach! So nice to have a short walk from house to beach and especially nice when we needed a bathroom break. A couple things I want to mention to future travelers: -the listing warns of a tight parking spot which I was definitely nervous about but we had a Nissan Altima and it takes some teamwork but once we got the hang of it, the spot is perfect and priceless to have reserved parking in a hard-to-park area like pacific beach. -the portable AC machine is in the dining room area and it was stuffy when we first arrived and we worried the air wouldn’t reach the bedroom- but as soon we got it going, we felt the air throughout the house, it was great. -the bed is soooo soft and comfy! The sheets too! We slept so well. -I was worried about COVID beach crowds so our trip was Sun-Tues and the difference from Sun to Mon on the beach was night and day! If you have the option to go on a weekday, I would recommend it. Overall, it was a really cute place to stay, good size for two of us (even 3-4 if we really wanted to save money).

We had a great time at Aaron's place in Pacific Beach. The beach was just as advertised and it was literally 100 steps away. The AirBnb was exactly as advertised in the pictures and the description. It was extremely clean and we had no issues. Aaron was extremely quick with communication.

This was a little slice of HEAVEN! Just as advertised, the spot is 10 steps from the beach which was of high priority for us. In terms of value, this spot absolutely blew us away! Definitely recommend & would definitely want to return!

AWESOME place clean large 20 steps to beach FYI you will be in PB side but thats where I like it due restaurants and bars, I would go back parking was able fit 450 GLS Mercedes but requires some manuvers place built before SUV were in style , just dont keep moving your car take uber so dont have worry , I would stay again anytime

My husband and I come out to Pacific Beach every year. This was the perfect place to stay! Aaron’s place was tucked back off the boardwalk (5 houses back) to be quiet at night but close enough to everything! Perfect location, clean house, looks exactly like the pictures and communication with Aaron was fast and easy. We will definitely be staying here again next year! Thanks Aaron!

So I will try to list the pros and con of this Airbnb. The pros would be this place is sparkling clean and you have plenty of room. All of the photos are 100% accurate and recent. It is a 1 min walk to Mission Beach and 3 min walk to Mission Bay. Centrally located you can get to stores, restaurants, and beaches very easily. The neighbors are very quiet and it comes with your own small parking space. The cons would be this is not someone's home, this is a rental property only and it is managed by a corporate property company, there is no Aaron. There are sensors embedded inside and outside the home from a company called NoiseAware. They are microphones that monitor you 24/7 if you do not mind having Big Brother watch over you during your stay. It is not mentioned until 24 hrs before when you get check-in instructions. Also not mentioned until you receive the check-out instructions is they require you to perform a complete cleaning of the Airbnb. You still pay a cleaning fee but you must wash/dry all dishes, take out all trash, and put everything in the exact same place it was found including towels.

Eric, this is Aaron and I am indeed a real person. Like the vast majority of units on the vacation rental market I manage/own multiple units (in my case about 70). Not sure how much you have utilized AirBNB recently but the days of staying in someone's home are a bit passe. Sure it is novel (I just did it on a recent trip to Vegas) but by no means is staying in a non-owner occupied space the minority at this time. We fully disclose the Noiseaware devices (at 3 points...our advertisement, our conformation and at check in). Noiseaware is a passive measuring device that does not actually record any sounds it merely registers and records decibel levels over time. While you were a wonderful guest (as our 99% of my guests) I do have the occasional party. Noiseaware allows me to be a responsible host (at a most critical time for many jurisdictions (inc San Diego) as we are under constant threat of being banned out of existence). As for the checkout instructions; asking that you hang wet towels, wash the sand off the provided beach items, put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and take out the trash is pretty common thing in today's VR world. As such, we do not ask for a "complete cleaning". Thanks for the stay.

I'm an SD local and just needed a place to stay for a week, and was pleasantly surprised with what a great part of Mission Beach this was. Super quiet, which I wasn't expecting and great walking distance to Pacific Beach and the heart of Mission Beach. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. Super clean & lovely place. Parking is a bit tight, but if you back into the spot it's super easy!

Overall a great location just steps to the public beach and across the street from the beautiful bay! Perfect size for two people. A/c runs off a single unit you have to manually plug in - not run throughout the place. Otherwise great spot.

This place is exactly as listed! It was clean, and I appreciate being able to book it for fourth of july weekend in a month’s notice. Aaron and Betsy were helpful and attentive. They checked up through Airbnb very often. We had everything we needed and the beach is such a short walking distance. I would definitely recommend!

We wanted to book a place very close to the beach and luckily we came across Aaron's place. The apartment was not very big, but had everything you might need on a vacation: fully furnished kitchen, beach things (chairs, toys, body boards etc.). But the location is the king! I measured: 40 seconds to the beach! There was also a parking space, which was a huge deal in Mission Beach due to scarce available space. The check in was super simple: no keys, just the code lock. The heater wasn't working, but Aaron swiftly addressed the issue! All in all, I highly recommend Aaron's apartment to all beach lovers, you won't be disappointed.

The house is exactly as described and the proximity to the beach and all the extras like beach towels and chairs made it the perfect place for my husband and I for our long weekend trip. It was very clean and the communication was great from start to finish. Having a parking spot is a huge plus in this area but be aware that it’s a very tight spot so if you’re renting a car keep it small. We really appreciated being offered a late check out and would definitely stay here again!

Ben's Beach Bungalow was perfect and the location could not have been better! Keyless lock was awesome and I never needed to cary anything as this property is so close to both the beach and the bay. The Bungalow was very clean and had everything you might need for a great beach getaway. There is ample bathroom counter space and the mattress was delightful. Such a peaceful and calm environment and the front outdoor space was lovely to enjoy morning coffee or just relax. Aaron and Betsy were great hosts. I didn't need to reach out for anything as they have it set up so perfectly and ready for you to enjoy. They both did check in just to ensure I was having a great time and to see if I needed anything. This is an amazing Bungalow and I definitely hope to be returning soon! Thank you Aaron and Betsy for making my stay a wonderful one!

Aaron and Betsy were very quick to respond and very helpful with whatever questions i had. The beach is approx a block and a half away. I loved being able to make my way to the sand within minutes. Great place to stay. Parking is tight but for reference i was able to park a Grand Cherokee in the spot.

Excellent location, right off the beach. The place was clean and the host was extremely quick to respond. This was definitely a great option that will put you right in the heart of Mission Beach. The parking spot provided is extremely small. If you bring a large vehicle expect to have to find parking off the premises.

Aaron's place is in an ideal location. From the patio you can see the beach board walk/bike path that parallels the sand of the beach. In the other direction, it is blocks to the bay where you can swim, rent kayaks etc. The place is also a very short walk to a variety of coffee shops, restaurants and small stores. The patio had a nice clean table and chairs that we could use. The inside of the place was more spacious than we expected and very clean and comfortable.

The pictures do not give this place the justice it deserves!!! Perfect for a family of 4. It was great having your own outdoor grill and table. Full kitchen inside to cook or prep meals. With a little bit of resourcefulness you have everything you need. Very clean and only 72 steps away from the beach! Hospitality was top notch. 5 stars from us!

the price is good considering it's best location. and management team is super super nice and responsive. thank you Aaron and Betsy!!! However, during our stay, we experienced some inconveniences. First, the bathroom sink had been clogged and leaked for the first couple of days. management team sent people to repair, however it took 3 days to get it working fine. Second, our designated parking space was mistakenly occupied by unknown on the night of July 4th when we returned to our property, but the car left after a while. not too bad, but since baby needed to get sleep sooner, so I think maybe management could put up a notice sign for rule explanation. Thirdly, the neighbors across the street were very very noise until 11:00 or 12:00, for the first two nights, we contacted local police as well as management team, and on the third night, no noise (not sure if they left, because that property is also a Airbnb), so you will expect some noise for this location as your neighborhoods could be on their vacations and they might have parties. Also i think the couch and pillows could be washed or replaced as there're at least three big stains on couch and some stains on pillows too. stocked with more linens and towels will be good too. overall, we enjoyed staying in here. Thanks

Shuangshuang, thanks for the very complete review. Sorry about the drain (it was, as expected, sand and hair, two of the beach plumbing monsters!). Thanks for being patient as the plumber took care of it. We do have posted "private parking" signs and luckily we were able to get the car moved very quickly...just another 4th of July at the busiest beach in SD! I made every effort to track down the owner of the unit across the court but (clearly) I can only do so much about noise from private parties in unrelated properties. Again, I always try to have guests understand that it is the beach so there will be noise from the other several thousand vacationers who descend on the area annually (the volume of which rises dramatically for the 4th of July). We have replaced the pillows and had the steam cleaners come clean the couches, so thanks for letting us know. We will have the cleaners add some additional linens to the unit as well.
