Aaron’s place was as described and worked perfect for my short work trip. It was great to be close to beach and many restaurants and such. My only complaint is the couch was super weird and upright and uncomfortable. I sat in the chair instead. Almost like someone put it together incorrectly. I was hardly there so couch was not a big deal for me. I would stay again.

This place is amazing truly. The responsiveness by the team that works together for this rental is a 10/10. You turn one corner and you’re on the beach, nothing can beat the price and location. If you’re a stickler for some dust then that’s a personal issue because there is a very tiny amount around the place. Nothing can beat this airbnb in my opinion since it’s literally right on the water surrounded by restaurants and it’s not loud at night because it’s a little tucked away. 10/10 would recommend

Again, we had a great time. The location was excellent because its 2-3 minute walking distance to the beach, 2-3 minute walking distance to Mission Bay Blvd. and then walking to bar, restaurants and shops located around the Mission Beach area. The condo good for 2 adults and/or 2-3 children, any more than a bit tight. Beach chairs and body boards were provided. A parking place for our rented car was provided and we heeded other renters advice to rent a small or economy size car, so that we had a vehicle to travel to other places in the San Diego area. The condo structure also had its own outside shower to rinse off the sand off ourselves and paraphernalia from our beach visits. I'd rate our condo place a 5 out 5; it was that nice!

Great location. Had most everything needed for the stay. Unit got very warm. There was a potable AC unit but only cooled the room it was in. Bathroom was always a hot box. Maybe more fans available for warm days. Toilet in the bathroom could be updated. It was nice to have a parking spot but was a very tight fit (which we expected after communicating with the owner). We brought our own bikes and missed having a convenient place to store them. We had to lug them upstairs to keep in our unit. This wasn’t the best fit for us but overall was a decent rental.

This was a wonderful location just a short walk from the beach. The beds were comfortable and it had an A/C unit which was fabulous. The kitchen was small but easy to cook in and had most needed utensils available. There is a parking spot that is very tight (as advertised) but we had a Chevy equinox and it fit just fine. The only issue I had was that there is no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror near an outlet so doing my hair was a bit if a challenge.

we had a girls trip! Me and my 2 daughters. This place fit us perfect. it is Super close to the beach and a short walk to the pier and restaurants. The house was very clean and we had easy access. plus the parking spot it’s a plus.

The location is a huge plus! You can’t beat the short walk to the ocean or even the same equal short walk to the Mission Bay side. We had a great time and loved our stay. It has what you need for a great beach vacation. We stayed with our teenage son and he comfortably fit on the futon couch. It had all the beach equipment that one would need for a great sunshine escape. It is a bungalow with a small kitchen, so just make sure that you know it isn’t a gourmet kitchen. The parking is tight and definitely only plan on a small SUV or compact car for the spot, but such a nice plus. We had one issue with a clogged bathroom sink, which did get addressed quickly by the manager.

very clean, superb location and loved there was parking (for a small car). I appreciated there was coffee, paper towels, and bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo, etc), as these small things matter. I loved that I received notice that I could get into the property Early (check-in) 👍 The only difficulty was a 10 AM check out, as this really doesn't afford enough time for breakfast, cleanup and departure. I would stay here again.

The property is exactly as described- small but perfect for my and my 2 kids. The only cons were that the water pressure is a bit low and the parking spot is very tight - but honestly neither really bothered me at all. The location just cannot be beat! We originally had booked this rental for my son, myself, and a friend, but my son and I were unable to go, so just my friend went, and he said it was absolutely wonderful. Before I knew I was not going to be able to stay, I had been in contact with the host and he was more than helpful with all of my questions, very accommodating with fun suggestions for my nine year old and in such a timely manner. I wish I would have been able to stay in such a great place, but I am glad that my friend was able to enjoy it!

Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Ben's Beach Bungalow. It was not far from a number of restaurants and shops, easy to walk to and from. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet. The location is just far enough off the beach that you don't hear all the commotion on the boardwalk. So easy to access the beach and boardwalk to see all that is going on there. For the price we paid, the accommodations were exactly in-line. The apartment had all we needed to enjoy our trip. We thought it was wonderful that there were beach chairs and towels in the unit. The communication with the host was seamless, no issues with finding the unit or check-in. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed recently to tour colleges with our daughter and show her the San Diego area. Our stay worked out perfectly! The location is great! A block from the beach, walking distance to restaurants, shops and everything you would need. The place is very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. I was having trouble getting any messages to my VRBO Inbox, but once I realized that, I contacted the property manager who made sure to directly copy my email so that I could access messages. We would definitely recommend this beach bungalo and would be happy to stay here again!

We wanted a place close to my daughters family in Pacific Beach, as well as a property near the beach. This property was steps from the beach and the esplanade. We could hear the waves as well! Three houses from the beach! You can sleep with the window open to the crashing sound of the waves, no joke. Just look at the pictures, this place has everything you need. Big Advantage here is you're at the very North End of Mission Beach so you have walking distance to everything in Mission Beach as well as a large portion of Pacific beach. Ocean Beach is a 15 minute Car ride, downtown about 15 to 20 minutes as well as the airport. Wineries out in Temecula and Escondido and some even closer within an hour to 30 minutes or less. Endless places to hike at the beach, out in canyons, waterfalls, so much more.... everything within an hour or less.

Pros: -Super responsive host when we got turned around getting to the property. -The location is truly amazing for beach access. -beach chairs and towels available -very clean! Areas for improvement: -it may have mentioned this detail in the listing and I overlooked it, but the AC is more like a window unit. It kept the living room area cool, but the bedroom was pretty warm during our stay. There is a tiny (tabletop) fan provided and a ceiling fan that helps some. Adding another AC unit in the bedroom (or my preference would be to just have the unit in there to begin with) would really help this place shine!

The property is great and if you stay there make sure to eat at Moe’s. Property was clean and had coffee for brewing on top of all basic kitchen needs. Location was great. If you’re renting a car just make sure it’s a compact so you fit in the carport!! Would definitely stay again.

This is a clean well-stocked and well-located property, a block from the beach and a block from a bus that takes you to Old Town trolley stop. Can walk to groceries, restaurants. Do pay attention to the comments about parking...it was doable, but you definitely wouldn't want a big car!

We had an amazing stay. Check in was very easy and the place was spotless when we arrived. It comes equipped with everything you need- dishes, cooking tools, towels, even shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The location is literally a 2 minute walk from the beach, you can hear the waves from the kitchen. It was perfect for 3 adults, however I wouldn't recommend any more than that. The sofa bed is smaller than we expected, so we were glad to have only one person sleep on it. Might work great for 2 smaller kids! Overall we were so comfortable, the value of the property is great. We will be back!

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Bars and restaurants are all within a 12 minute walk or less. Boardwalk is great for inline skating jogging and walking. The unit having a air conditioning unit is big as the summer sun does heat up the unit. If you get up and go and start your day early I do recommend Ben's Beach bungalow.

We loved our stay! The location is great and you can hear the waves of the ocean from the house. We would walk to get coffee in the mornings and the area had cute shops and lunch spots nearby. I’ve stayed in this building a couple of times and it is always stellar. My only complaint with this unit is that it’s exceptionally warm - it’s on the upper floor, southeast corner, so there is essentially all day sun exposure. Gets a little of that hot-box effect on super warm days. But the location can’t be beat, the owners/managers are prompt with responses, and it’s just freakin adorable. Would stay again (in the cooler months).

Clean, nicely painted/decorated, but extremely hot when I arrived at 6pm. Even with the portable A/C unit turned on at 65F it never cooled down until dark when the breeze picked up and I could open the windows Sleep was bearable 1st night with my Vortex fan blowing on the bed. The ceiling fan in the living room works great but not the one in the bedroom. 2nd night no breeze through the bedroom, 3rd night slept on the Futon in the living room, it was too firm but I got some sleep. I think each bungalow needs a mini split A/C to make it comfortable in the heat to get some sleep.

We loved being able to walk to the beach or bay in minutes from this property. The place was clean, check in was easy and communication/response team from management was quick and easy. Only complaints are that they only provided 3 bath towels for our entire trip and wanted to charge us extra afterwards for cleaning because they said the towels had to be thrown away because they were so dirty. We had 3 white towels for 4 people over 6 days after multiple showers a day post beach. The furniture was also a bit cheap and uncomfortable. Particularly the dining room chairs and the futon sleeper. The body of the description says the unit comfortably sleeps 4 but realistically the futon only sleeps 1 and it is very uncomfortable. The bed is comfortable for 2.

This cute home had everything we needed to make our stay great! Being moments from the beach was key - with a child, it was great to be near so we could run home to grab lunch, bathroom, etc. when we arrived, windows had been opened for us and the cool breeze had the apt at a lovely temperature. Slept pleasantly with breeze and overhead fan. Futon was overly firm so not too comfortable for our daughter but was ok for a short stay. Otherwise, great! Hope to stay again!

We enjoyed our stay. Aaron was very responsive with help. The bungalow was clean and well equipped with beach chairs etc. It did get a bit warm but cooled off at night. The location was great. Although not an ocean view you are steps away from it all. The neighbors all were good at the quite time hours. And it was a holiday weekend. Slept well in the cozy bed. Had a small glitch at first and property manager was very quick in dealing with it. Perfect for our stay. We like to cook most meals and kitchen was well stocked with kitchen “tools” and very clean. Fridge was immaculate Lots of towels available. It’s a great place to stay. We will definitely be back. The parking in Mission Beach is hard to find and having a carport space, even tho small was essential for us. So that was a huge PLUS!

We stayed in a one-bedroom upstairs unit which was perfect for us. It is clean and updated, just off the PB boardwalk. Had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen, beach towels and toys.

This place was as advertised, save for a few very minor details. When we arrived we did find that the parking space was exactly as the ad warned: it's TIGHT, and you will want to back into it. It took a few solid tries before we figured out the trick to it. (We had requested a compact, but the rental company gave us a mid-size, which made this trickier - not VRBO's fault by any means.) There was ground coffee and a drip coffee maker available (yay!), some tea, condiments, and full utensils and dishes in the kitchen. During our 9-day stay, we really lamented not having an ottoman or coffee table of some sort in the living room. Now that I'm writing this review I see that the listing photos do show a small ottoman, so I'm not sure what happened to it, but it would have been nice to have a way to prop up one's feet for a minute. Like I said, minor discrepancy. Great proximity to the beach and food options. So why 4 stars instead of 5? The apartment was clean and pleasant, but it overlooks the alleyway, and the sounds of trash pickup, beeping vans, loud motorcycles, and the like woke us up often. As much as we would have loved to leave the windows cracked to sleep to the beautiful October weather and the faint ocean sounds, we couldn't if we wanted good rest. There aren't really any good views out of the windows, which is a bummer, though OK considering the affordable price. The bathroom door doesn't offer any acoustic privacy. So overall: nice stay, with a couple of caveats.
