Blue Sky Bungalow

Generally good experience and good location with easy street parking. 2 adults 2 kids just fit, and could feel a little cramped at times. The main spaces are remodeled though some parts of the house show their age more than others. We picked the home due to location to the beach and to downtown La Jolla. Made a great base to go to Lego Land as well. All in all made a good base for a short vacation.

Petite maison parfaite pour 4. Tout est simple. Quelques petits éléments d’accueil quand on arrive, l’essentiel est à disposition (lessive, café, eau froide dans le frigo, des serviette de tables, des torchons). Il y a suffisamment d’éléments dans la cuisine pour vraiment cuisiner. Emplacement très agréable pour aller à la plage à pieds (vraiment au bout de la rue), pour faire des courses de nourriture à pieds également (au coin de l’autre coté de la rue), on peut même aller jusqu’au musée d’art moderne ou voir les phoques à pieds en traversant un quartier calme (25 minutes). Seul défaut de conception: la salle de bain est accessible uniquement par la chambre principale et pas de façon séparée.

We enjoyed our stay in La Jolla! The blue bungalow was comfortable, clean and pretty. It was remodeled with quality and taste, still keeping the charm of the original building. The location was quiet and felt very safe, only a couple of minutes from a lovely beach. We even saw dolphins very close! Thank you, we would be happy to come back!

We love staying at the blue cottage! The location is amazing - it’s half a block from the ocean. It’s also close to great restaurants like The Promiscuous Fork. The house is minimal and cozy. There is also a giant garage behind the residence, which my kids loved running around! It’s a great find for a family trip to the beach.

Lovely cottage (that has everything we need and more) on a quiet street less than 5 mins' walk from the shore. There are a number of places to eat (restaurants/cafe/bar) within walking distance. More are within a few minutes' drive or bus ride. we will definitely try to come back in a not so distant future.

Great place, great location. Probably one of the better SoCal Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at. Clean everything functioned well. Stocked well with all you needed. Don’t have to buy anything for the place. It rain most of the trip and it never felt small or cramped for being a smaller house. Perfect for the family.

Beautiful spot just a couple of blocks from the ocean. The home was very well stocked with everything we needed, including laundry in the shed. Both bedrooms had great blackout curtains which was nice since we were traveling with a baby. The outdoor space was really nice as well. Everything looked fairly new and very clean. It was chilly at night and in the morning, but the space heaters were enough to warm up the place.

My wife and I stayed here for a three night getaway. This was our first time in San Diego and glad we chose La Jolla to base our stay. This house was perfect and very convenient (2 minute walk) to a gorgeous beach with beautiful sunsets, surfers, people watching, seals swimming, etc. We try as much as possible to explore on foot and were able to easily explore La Jolla (appx 25 minute walk to Point La Jolla). Highly recommend the Sundays farmers market. Situated in a very charming neighborhood. There was a grocery at the end of the street which was convenient. The house itself was perfect, clean and well furnished and stocked in the kitchen. Unfortunately we traveled without our two teenage kids, but the house would too have been perfect even with them (only challenge would have been the fact of one bathroom which is in the main bedroom). While it has two covered parking spots, we used street parking. Overall, this home was perfect - location, clean, comfortable, easy check-in/out.

We booked this beautiful home in La Jolla called the blue house for a short vacation but did not expect what we found was a rare gem. Initially thought why was it expensive for two nights but untile we got there. Very clean and cozy, neat and had everything you would imagine. Close to resturants, shops, and most especially 4 mins walk to the beach which was short of amazing. The rental also had beach chairs for you to use, outside grill and hose to wash yourself down from the beach sand. The only drawback from me if you are planning on staying long is no washer/dryer in the unit and no A/C which seems not needed because it is cool and the unit has fans available. But overall, an amazing host, very responsive. We will be back for sure

We enjoyed staying at the cottage. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. It was nice walking to the beach too! Having the option of a garage and street parking was convenient. The only issue we had was expecting a standard crib (per description) and only a pack-n-play was provided. We didn’t have sheets for it, so the host gave us a twin sheet to use which worked out. Also, there were quite a few fruit flies around.

Kyle, apologies for the error. The OTA's (like Airbnb) constantly update the interface with our software providers and they decided to ascribe our prior "pack'n'play" to a newly created "crib" tag. For reference, very few vacation rentals offer full cribs (although we do have a delivery service that can provide one) so always a great idea to confirm that even if it is listed (especially since most folks are more than satisfied with a travel crib). Fruit flies are very common in SD in the summer but can be managed If brought to our attention. Vacation Rentals by Aaron
