The place was very beautiful— I didn’t want to leave at all! The ocean can be seen from the street and plenty of street parking. The kitchen was stocked with more than just the bare necessities; it felt like living in your own home! Everything was super clean and the bed is very comfy! Hope to book this place again in the future :)

Looks exactly like its photos and description is accurate. Quote neighborhood. Aaron responds quick. We stayed for 5 nights. On our first day, there was a smell, I guess coming from the toilet area or the sinks and we could smell in the whole area. I wrote to Aaron and he said sometimes it occurs and they provided me the substance (enzymes) to put into the sinks and toilet. I used the bottle until it finishes for 2 consecutive nights and the smell was gone.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The location was awesome — close to everything but still felt quiet and private. The space was just right for two people and there were a lot of nice little touches, like a complimentary bottle of wine and plenty of amenities that made it feel super welcoming. A couple of small things to note: when we first walked in, the smell of the cleaning supplies was *really* strong. It faded after a bit, but it was a bit much at first. Also, we noticed a few small stains on the white bed linens and towels — nothing major, but something to be aware of. Finding the place initially was a little tricky since there wasn’t much signage, so give yourself a little extra time when you arrive. It is on the left side of the home, past two metal gates and one wooden gate to the right. Overall though, it was a great stay. Thanks Aaron!

My stay was wonderful! The home was clean and comfortable with many available items that made my stay more enjoyable (beach towels, beach chairs/umbrella, storage containers and food wrap). I felt safe and at home which as a solo traveler is extremely important to me! Highly recommend!

I had a great stay at this apartment in San Diego near the bay. The location was perfect — it was easy to get around both by car and on foot, with lots of places to explore nearby. Had a nice stay - check in instructions were a little hard to find but once we found the online portal they were pretty straightforward. Comfortable bed, nice shower head, and clean small studio space. Beach gear was provided which was a nice touch. Great location with easy free parking in the surrounding streets. Host was very responsive to any messages.

It was obvious that the host cared about the guest’s experience. His hospitality showed in the attention to detail, such as setting up a wine table setting, having carefully chosen all the kitchen and bathroom equipment and products, creature comforts like a white noise machine and boogie boards. The (fixable) problem I had was with the property manager: No signs showing us to the unit far in the back, through 3 gates, behind the house; burnt-out lightbulbs on the patio that they never replaced as promised; a chirping CO2 detector for the first half-hour; but worst of all, the very loud residents upstairs. They sounded like a herd of elephants and kept at it after midnight on a Thursday, and we had an infant. Overall, the place is adorable and the host is great. But the management needs to improve.

Though the room was a part of the house, it felt like a separate studio. The area was in a nice location and the host was very friendly. I couldn't find the remote and the host purchased and delivered the next day; very kind and responsive. They even had complimentary wine and beer to enjoy the stay. This place is a hidden gem and I do recommend if you're visiting or a quick getaway. Thank you so much!

Most definitely had a great stay here! Aaron made it easy to check-in & gave very thorough instructions. The location is amazing. It’s about a 15 min drive to pretty much everywhere you need to be. The unit was very clean. If I were to come back, I’d definitely stay here again.

Place was private and had a full kitchen. Very very close to mission park and beach! Has a laundry and dryer which was helpful so we didn’t have to do post- vacation laundry when getting home! Quiet and peaceful is the best way to describe it!

I was here for 8 days. The ac unit only blows on one setting which is low. The room will still get cool so don’t worry. The bed is in a tight spot so getting in and out of the bed was a squeeze. Be prepared to use your own person streaming account as well. Upstairs guest/tenants where a little noisy not too much besides the vacuum going early in the morning dogs barking and arguing besides that it’s decent spot to stay.

Tiffany, I will start by stating what I always do...please never suffer in silence (especially with a unit like this where the hosts are literally upstairs). The AC (and heat) both work great but you had it set on ECO so it would only operate at low mode. I will have a chat with the onsite hosts about noise. I try to give reviews by responding to what others noticed. The place is really Cute. It seems to be the overall homes basement or lower level that was remodeled to accommodate a three separate rentals. They are all efficiencies with everything located in one room. You absolutely can hear every step from those living upstairs and their dogs. The bathroom rain shower is a little less than desirable but other than that the place is stayable. Great area close to everything.

Michelle, thank you for the heads up about the drain (think you incorrectly referred to the "rain shower" but your private note mentioned the drain (which we took care of after your departure)). I will mention the noise to my family (they reside upstairs) but it is true that this is a home with folks upstairs. I spent five days at Aaron’s place and it was exactly what I needed. Perfectly located and very good size for me (two people would also fit perfectly). Very well decorated and had every little detail in it, so I felt like at home from minute one. Aaron was extremely responsive and helpful with a couple of things I needed (he even left a nice bottle of wine for me and plenty of coffee), and I could make use of the washing machine and dryer whenever I needed them. If I come back to San Diego, I will repeat with Aaron. And definitely, I would recommend it to anyone!!

Decided to rent this space for my trip with my 6 years old son. I loved the location since it is 7-10 min from Sea World and 10-15min drive to the San Diego Zoo/ Balboa Park and 30 minutes from the Safari zoo. I loved the privacy and safety I felt. My son loved the studio, it is definitely homey & cozy. The bed is comfortable and huge (not sure if it's a queen or a King). & there was definitely coffee ☕ for us coffee drinkers first thing.

Booked this spot last minute before a busy holiday weekend- good spot overall. Bed was very comfy, amenities were as listed. There was construction next door, however we were out for most of our stay so it was not a big bother. Location is quiet and convenient, right by the freeway. Place was tidy and had everything you might need. We would have liked to have a grill in the outdoor area as posted, but not a deal breaker.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This is a quiet neighborhood across the 5 from Mission Bay. Its ideal for being close to they bay, or being close to the city but in a quieter place, or jumping just north to PB or La Jolla. The keyless entry was great and the place was well furnished with everything we needed. The bed was really great and a king which can be hard to find. The bathroom and shower were spacious. A really great unit for a short or long term stay. The host was awesome too - super responsive!

One of my favorite Airbnbs in a long while. Perfect space for 2 people on a quick weekend trip to SD. The home looked exactly like the pictures. The entire stay was spotless and clean. It was also well stocked with everything you could need and the bed was very comfortable too! It was always pleasure to speaking to the host via text. Although we never met the host, (this was a private, but connected unit) I could tell they prioritized hospitality through fast, friendly, and responsive texts. The location was also great! 10 minutes away from the airport, but also close enough to nearby attractions via car. Lots of free street parking in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. Aaron’s place reminded me that good stays and hospitality still exists on Airbnb. Definitely would stay here again!

Perfect for 2 people. Bathroom was bigger than expected and the location was perfect to get to Mission Beach, La Jolla, and downtown. Parking was the only issue as you had to park around the corner and walk up but there was always parking available. Great overall!

Nice stay for a visit in San Diego- everything is within 15 minutes of a drive and the bay is super close by. Nice neighborhood to walk the dog in if you’re traveling with a pet. Good communication with Aaron when there were any questions/problems. It’s small but fine for a shorter stay- there were some times when we could hear upstairs/next door neighbors but nothing at crazy hours of the night. Would stay again!

The place was a perfect size especially since I was out most of the weekend I stayed here. There were good amenities and was in a pretty quiet neighborhood. Overall a nice stay that looked just like the photos!

Aaron's place is just like the pictures show. You have a private entrance and it was very quite and private. Parking on the street was never a problem.

The bed is incredibly comfortable, it has a memory foam mattress so we slept like babies. The house and neighborhood are super quiet. Some of the instructions for the front gate and the shower could have been spelled out a little better, but if I had a question, the host responded immediately. My husband needed an Ethernet connection for his telemedicine equipment, which was one of the main reasons we chose this particular house. A couple of things were in the confirmation message from the host, such as complimentary beer and wine (there wasn’t any) and free access to YouTube TV (didn’t exist). But all in all this was a nice, cozy place with very accommodating hosts!

Stayed here for the recent New Year weekend. The space was private, including the patio. The only thing that looked different on the listing was the patio, but no biggie. The rental was well put together with modern appliances and furniture. The neighborhood was fairly quiet and the shared building with other tenants was not a disturbance at all. I would definitely book again.

My boyfriend and I came to SD on vacation with our doggo and I’ve got to say, this place was pretty much perfect. I couldn’t think of a single improvement. It was SUPER clean, tidy, and just pleasant to wake up and come home to. Big comfy bed. More remote area without being too far from the fun. It was perfect for us with the doggo as well. Highly recommend!

Aaron is one of the best property managers that I have had the pleasure to rent from Airbnb, my check-in was very last minute but he was very punctual with letting me know to check in details. Everything was provided in the units, especially in the kitchen where he definitely knows the value of quality pieces and the welcoming power of a nice bottle of wine. The back patio was quiet and private and the location was wonderful, I actually grew up in San Diego and I had never even ventured over to that side of Claremont Drive before. He even stopped by to say hello and was very loving to my dog and allowed me to easily extend one more day with him and I wish I could've stayed longer. Hey studio is a gem to find in San Diego

Great little place with all the amenities! Big patio with BBQ grill is a huge plus. Comfy bed! Aaron is super responsive to your needs and being able to do your laundry onsite it great! Also, place was stocked with coffee and Aaron gave me a welcome bottle of wine. Highly recommended!

Aaron's place was just as pictured. Clean, safe neighborhood with easy access to beach and freeway. Grocery store within a half mile. The unit has everything you need to prepare food in the kitchen and all the necessities in the bathroom as well.

This little studio plus private patio is a marvel of design and organization. Perfect for 2 people, and Aaron was wonderful about our dogs. Everything is in beautiful condition, including luxurious soft towels, super nice bed and bedding, and all of the kitchen items that someone else might forget. The location could hardly be better. Bay Park is both central and so near the coast. Highly recommended.

The room was comfortable for our 5 night stay and was equipped with all the necessities. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach chairs provided and a workable kitchen with wine, spices and condiments! Had a nice size patio where we could enjoy the coastal weather. Aaron is friendly and a helpful host. The place is dog friendly which is a plus. The only suggestion I have is to put suite numbers on the rental property doors, to make checkin more streamlined.

Excellent studio with king sized bed, great location, complete with everything you could want. It appeared like it was brand new and we were the first guest to use it. We plan to return. We have 3 grand kids in Clairemont Mesa, which is only 10 minutes away and it is minutes from the beach.

At the end of a charming private walkway, you'll enter through a private gate into a beautifully appointed efficiency-style apartment. Everything we needed was there for our get-away-to-the-beach vacation. Appreciate all the details the owner considered like good reading lights by the bed that included phone chargers, fully equipped kitchen, and beach gear (chairs, umbrella and boogie board.) Wonderful stay in this spotless rental.

Amazing stay and value. Check in was easy and we were fortunate enough to get in early. Cozy space but very clean. Photos showed outdoor space to have more seating and a grill. Looks to have been renovated and that was not actually available. Space was still fine for my wife and I. Overall wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone. Will stay again next family visit!

The location is fantastic because it is right by the freeway. You will need a vehicle, but it is a relatively quick drive to any of the destinations you would want. For the price you can’t beat it.

Clean comfy and convenient! Ideal hotel alternative for a long weekend in La Jolla/SD. Everything was just 5-10 minutes away. Super-easy check-in/checkout and Aaron was very accessible and responsive. Will absolutely stay again!

Wonderful stay at this property. Welcomed with wine and beer from Aaron. The place is immaculate with new fixtures, appliances and every guest item you can think of. Awesome Guest TV set up. The pictures online do not do it justice, it's better than it looks. Great location with Mission Bay right down the street and Sea World nightly fireworks can easily be seen. La Jolla is 10 minutes away, Ocean Beach and Pt Loma close too. The host Aaron is great to work with. We'll be back for sure.

The studio is perfectly located for all your San Diego excursions. Studio was clean and Aaron was easy to communicate with. Sprouts is conveniently located just up the street. Parking was easy to find. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella for our beach days. We would definitely stay there again!
