This house had everything! Great views, awesome yard for the dogs, stocked kitchen and you could walk everywhere. Would totally stay again if we ever make it back to Del Mar.

Loved this place and will definitely return. It's very close to the railway track (and also to the beach via a little tunnel!!) - so perfect if you like trains and aren't bothered with hearing them go past (which I am not). Stephanie

What a wonderful little cottage by the beach. My family really enjoyed the close proximity to restaurants and the beach. Del Mar is a lovely place to be. This was the first time we had been back in 7 years, and I couldn't be happier with this cottage and location. Super cute inside and out. Great available parking. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you would have in your own kitchen and more! Yes, the train is an experience. I recommend shutting the windows at night and turning on the available fans.

This house was located in the most perfect spot close to everything and so walkable! The train was fun for my toddler and not too noisy. Great backyard space too! The bed mattress was so so on comfort but great pillows! We would definitely love to return!

This house was as charming as the pictures suggested. Very private, lovely decor, comfy beds and furniture. The garden was a pleasant surprise and all enclosed which was helpful with dogs. Walk to the village or the beach in 10- 15 min. We would love to stay again. Recommend ear plugs if you go to bed on the early side because the trains run nearby past 11 pm.

The location was amazing, with a secret tunnel through to the beach areas. The view and ocean noise from the porch was great and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. The train noise is definitely something to consider but it was really only annoying when very early morning freight trains came through.

Amazing location to walk to the beach and restaurants and yet feel tucked away in own private space! Our dog and kids loved running around the beautiful backyard area. We were a little uncertain about the vicinity to the train tracks but as others noted, it really isn’t that noticeable after the first few. The train became a great source of entertainment for our toddlers if traveling with mini train enthusiasts. We visited in the winter and would love to come back in the summer! Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful property, comfortable, homey with great access to all of Del Mar. Honestly the only thing surprise was how close the train tracks are and how often the trains come by. We quickly got used to the train and it was a small price to pay for the perfect location. You can walk to the beach in minutes, walk to Auberge easily and there is beautiful yard for BBQ's and outdoor gatherings. When going to Auberge, take the small hill trail at the top of the driveway, its a much simpler approach than the jungle trail at the bottom of the hill. We are definitely going to try and go again. You will not regret staging here, ever.

We stayed here with our dog and it was comfortable for all of us. Although we didn't spend a lot of time at the rental, the place was perfect. Well equipped kitchen inn good condition, cozy, and a great safe place to let the dog out to stretch his legs. Great location and near everyplace we needed to be.

The location was incredible. You can walk through a tunnel as a fast shortcut to the beach and restaurants. Beautiful ocean views and garden. The house had everything we needed. We were apprehensive about the train but it didn’t bother us at all. Our only complaint was the master mattress was pretty uncomfortable and the frame was very noisy with just small movements. Can’t beat the location, we would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay here. Perfect location in Del Mar. We loved the vintage look and feel of the house. Nice big backyard with plenty of room. Plenty of room for parking and backyard activities. We enjoyed the sounds of the birds in the morning as well. Would recommend staying here for singles, couples, pet lovers and families.

I travel a ton for work and this is by far one of the best air b&b’s I have ever stayed in. The home is an absolutely perfect blend of comfort and quality. Beautiful accommodations with quality beds, appliances, showers, etc but also very welcoming and cozy so you feel at home and can relax. This was a private, beautiful spot, near the beach and next to many walking areas. The neighborhood is quiet and residential. The main strip for Del Mar is within walking distance and the beach is also within walking distance. The place is beautifully appointed and spotless. Everything was easy and made for total relaxation. The beautiful garden and privacy made you feel that you had escaped from the hustle and bustle of San Diego.

This was my second trip to the area to run in the San Diego Holiday Half Marathon. Last time we stayed at a place a little closer to the finish but this time we wanted something more walkable - so we could go out and celebrate after the race and not have to worry about driving. This is a great place, easy to get to the restaurants downtown and great sunset views from the porch. We didn't take advantage of the outdoor areas but they looked awesome. Aaron was SUPER communicative, very responsive to messages and helpful. Would totally stay here again if I come back to the area.

Aarons place was a great location to walk to the beach and into town. Perfect for a family get away. Great outdoor space for a dog and perfect deck to sit on all day long. The house is a little older but completely works and the kitchen was fully equipped. We will be back!

Wonderful fenced property with ocean views and coastal breezes. The natural light well appointed decor was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, morning walks to Stratford Cafe. The outside swing bench that also faces the ocean with a view made it where you just didn't want or need to leave, so we enjoyed dinner and card games in the afternoon with no need to go anywhere :)

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful and cozy, with comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Del Mar, with a tunnel just steps away that leads directly to the beach and some of the area's top waterfront restaurants.One thing we weren’t expecting was the train noise, but we quickly got used to it and it didn’t take away from our overall experience. Being able to walk everywhere and leave the car parked was a huge bonus. Overall, a wonderful stay in a prime spot!

Our family of 4 adults loved our stay at your home. It was the perfect location for us as we attended a family wedding next door at the L'auberge Hotel. We enjoyed sunset cocktails on the balcony each night and cooking meals here. Easy to get to attractions in the city and beaches. We walked to shops and restaurants in Del Mar town. This cute little beach house is exactly as advertised. It has a great location. You can walk to beach and shopping in Del Mar. It is very close to the train tracks, so I was initially worried, but the train is very quiet and did not wake us up. We had a large pickup truck, so it couldn’t fit in the garage, but there was plenty of room behind the house to park it off the street. The owner was easy reach and responded very quickly during our communication. I would stay here again.

Stayed with my wife and 3 teen daughters. We frequent Del Mar. The location of this property is fantastic. Even though you're on the crowded coast this place is private. The train was not an issue whatsoever. No rumbling the house as its far enough away. There's a nice ocean view from the upper level and no obstructions from other houses so you get the nice ocean breeze. The walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes and you have restaurants within walk distance as well. The plus with this property is the AC. Very hard to find for those rare times when the coast is a little too warm. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen and furnishings were well appointed.

This property is great. We live locally and needed a place to stay during a construction project on our home. We stayed for over 2 weeks and had a great "staycation". Views from the deck are great for morning coffee, evening sunsets, or just listening to the ocean while you read your book. Kitchen was equipped with truly everything you need...large built in fridge, tons of cookware and serveware, crock pot, mini food processor, blender, big roasting pan if you're here for the holidays, (has an old school coffee maker and a French press, no Keurig). Outdoor BBQ and fire pit were fun in the evenings. The train tracks are right in front of the house, but honestly we didn't mind the Coaster going by at all. We walked to Jake's a few times for dinner, and Poseidon for brunch. Del Mar plaza is a 5 min walk, and the beach is 2 minutes. Great spot on the north end of the beach to let your well behaved dog off leash. Host responded immediately to any questions we had. Wifi was great. Lemons, limes, oranges and pomegranates grow in the yard...perfect to add a slice to your sunset cocktail! Master bedroom is spacious with attached bathroom with a good shower, dual sinks with large medicine cabinets for storage, large closet, smart TV, and stackable washer and dryer. Second bedroom is on the smaller side and is probably best suited for one person or children...not a lot of space to put your stuff. Second bedroom also had a smart TV. There's a Whole Foods about 5 min drive. Enjoy!

Great time in Del Mar! The cottage was everything we expected and more- clean, well stocked and wonderful appliances. Cozy. secluded and comfortable with lots of open spaces to spread out. The extended outdoor space had picnic table and grill - great place to relax and hear the ocean waves. Beds were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was especially helpful in allowing everyone some privacy. The unobstructed view from the living room and patios was wonderful, great place to read our books and drink our morning coffee. The accessibility to the beach and Powerhouse Park was only minutes away and extremely convenient by using the tunnel under the train tracks. The trains weren't ever an issue. The kitchen was stocked with wonderful pots, pans and cookware. The beach vibe was carried throughout and made for nice seated dinners. No lack of dishes or utensils! Wifi /internet worked well during our week stay, can't say enough about the easy check in and out. Arron was quick to respond to questions and needs. Our teenage granddaughters were in heaven with the space at the cottage and the proximity to the beach! We will be back!

This house is everything described in its listing - and more. It’s a kind of “upside down” house in that the two bedrooms are downstairs and the living area is upstairs. But that allows you to enjoy the views of the ocean and the Powerhouse landmark from the main part of the house. We are former Del Mar residents and we had no idea this little Grand Avenue neighborhood existed. And we loved the perspective we got of Del Mar from this unique location. And a quirky bonus is that you can walk through a tunnel under the nearby tracks to get to the beach - just a short stroll away from the house. The house was clean and well stocked — from the kitchen to the closets and bathrooms. We also loved the big deck with lots of places to sit outside. There was a nice big (for Del Mar) yard and lots of room to park cars. The property managers were just a text away and we’re always very responsive. This is our new favorite place to stay in Del Mar.

Lovely little cottage with 2 bedrooms and a pullout sofa. Awesome ocean views from the upstairs open floor plan -- every area --living room, dining room, kitchen -- has the view. And the wraparound deck is fantastic. A great barbecue and firepit area outside; we made smores every night! 3 minute walk to the beach and beachfront restaurants. Highly recommend. Loved it so much we asked if it's for sale (it's not). We'll be back.

This home is charming and well maintained with luscious gardens around, both natural and manufactured. The walk to the beach is simple if you find the secret steps to the tube. So much fun and a wonderful place. We will definitely be going back.

This is such a great property with everything you need for a beach centric stay. We enjoyed the stay tremendously. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen stocked with all plates and utensils you’d ever need and beach toys are available as well. I highly recommend. I would definitely stay again. Small caveat - this is not the place for you if you don’t like trains. They don’t bother me at all. They do go by frequently but are super short and are past the house in seconds.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. We spent a lot of time sitting on the back deck enjoying the view of the ocean. It also was a quick walk to the beach and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this house about 10-12 years ago. It was nice but a little dated. It has since been refurbished and has been updated with all amenities fairly new. The proximity to the beach was great. Would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful week at this adorable beach house! It was perfectly located and convenient for our family activities. We enjoyed the wrap-around porch and loved hearing the sound of the waves. We hope to stay here again sometime in the future!

My husband, 7 year old son and myself had a great stay over spring break week. It was easy to find, super private and we didn’t have to drive at all for meals, Del Mar shopping or the beach. It was also centrally located on the coast for all of our driving needs. The neighborhood was very quiet and although the train goes by near the property, it only interfered with our sleep once and that was the one time we heard a freight train go through. I would take that one interruption for the location, the view and the neighborhood. The home itself is a bit tired but it’s more like a larger, charming beach shack. I was thrilled by the laundry in the primary bedroom area and bath. We definitely appreciated that after days at the beach. Also the yard was a perfect place for our little dog to explore. All in all a pleasant experience!

Stayed with my wife and 3 kids. Property is one of best properties we have stayed at. Close to train, but fairly quiet and kids thought it was great. Huge yard, comfortable beds, awesome balcony. I would highly recommend.
