Lovely Mission Beach Retreat

Aaron’s place was prest for our time in San Diego. It’s close to the beach and boardwalk. Parking was easy enough, especially with a smaller car. Check in and check out had simple and instructions were clear. My only feedback is wishing the laundry room didn’t have time limitations, but I’m sure there was a reason I was unaware of. Would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The space was cozy and inviting, in a convenient location very close to the beach and cafes. If you don’t feel like driving, the bus stop is right there! I would definitely recommend it!

The place is lovely and the location couldn’t be better between the ocean and the bay. I regret not staying longer. The apartment is small but the right size for a couple and it was pristine when we checked in. As a first time tourist to San Diego, it was the perfect place to stay and have a great experience.

This place was quiet and good location to access all areas of Mission Beach. Unfortunately there is a good amount of flies outside of the property. Also it would have helped to have more outlets all around the unit.

Michelle, flies at the beach in the summer affect every property (merely a function of dense people and trash and heat). We do our best to incorporate traps in the garbage bins but we can only control our units and not the thousands of others in Mission Beach. We added a power bar to accommodate extra plugs. The rental in Mission Beach was a great property and close to the beach on both sides (both the ocean and the bay)! Just needed to cross a fairly busy street to get to the beach but it was not a problem. The house was well maintained and was a nice spot for the two of us. They had community beach chairs which was nice since the beach was so close. Would stay here again.

Me and my significant other had an amazing stay at this location! everything was walkable distance, The kitchen was amazing we had so much space to cook and enjoy our food. The location looked exactly like the photos provided and it was squeaky clean it felt right at home. We will definitely be staying here again! Location was perfect since we had friends staying close by and it was close to beach, bay and restaurants. We didn't need a ton of room and the space had all the amenities we needed. The building and neighbors were very quiet. The only thing we would suggest changing is that the bathroom light/fan was extremely loud.

What an awesome spot! Highly recommend this place. It comfortably fit me and my husband for a long work stay. Long walks on the bay in the morning we’re the best! Super clean, everything you need, laundry! You cannot beat this location. Only feedback we had is the mattress is pretty firm! We woke up with lots of neck and arm aches but if you like a firm mattress you should be just fine! Stay here! You won’t regret it.

It’s a great place to be if you want to be on Mission Beach. Me and my wife went during the weekday and we were able to find parking in the Mission Blvd everyday we where there, don’t know how it is over weekends or holidays. Do keep in mind there is street sweeping on a specific day of the week. I had to move our car by 8am one day but there is a big public parking lot down the street for free where you can park in the meantime. Other than that it was a great place to hang out after a long day at the beach or driving around SD. Would recommend if you are just looking for someplace to chill.

Perfect location and great value for the price in the area. Had everything we needed and the beach amenities were awesome to have access to. Only downsides are the towels could use a refresh (had a few stains) and would’ve felt more secure if the door had a deadbolt in addition to just the codes. All around a great stay!

Great host, super responsive. Location is about 100 steps to the bay and maybe 200 steps to the ocean, awesome. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. If you eat at the Guava Grill make sure to meet Gizmo. As for the condo, looks just like the pictures, clean and nice. We look forward to our next visit.

This was a fabulous place to stay near the beach in San Diego for a surf trip! As a solo female traveller I wanted to feel safe and private but also have good value and stay in a nice place. This really hit everything I needed and was less expensive than any of the nearby hotels. Was so grateful to find it. Aaron was very responsive, including when I had trouble finding it when I arrived late at night. It is a little tricky to figure out where it is so recommend giving yourself extra time upon arrival - after that it is a breeze. I was worried about the parking situation, but I found street parking easily. Would definitely return!

The place was great. Parking was a bit difficult. I guess very typical for a beach community. We just had to walk a little ways but not too bad. We had trouble with the hot water but they responded very quickly and resolved the issue. We also had a bit of trouble with the door and were locked out but again they were very responsive and got us in within a few minutes. The location was wonderful with the bay and ocean close by. We enjoyed our time in San Diego and hope to go again soon.

Overall the Airbnb was great! It was very clean, has AC and great location near the beach. The one thing I’ll say is the parking situation is not ideal if you’ll have a car and it’s difficult to find a spot but that’s true of any Airbnb in this area. I would stay here again! The host was great

The location of this rental is perfect! A quick walk to the beach and close enough to Belmont Park to walk there, but you aren’t so close that it is super noisy. We asked for a pack and play and it was ready to go when we arrived. The chairs and beach gear made playing at the beach easy and convenient. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Location is amazing as many people have stated! Parking is definitely a struggle at times so you’ll have to get creative when street sweeping comes around, etc. Because the units are all so close, you’ll hear your neighbors and they will hear you, just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a quiet location. Overall the place was comfortable with a good space for 2 people!

A great stay in an amazing location! Aaron was super responsive to all my questions. The space was very clean and suitable for two people and the surrounding homes were very quiet, even on the weekends. The kitchen was fully stocked and good for cooking and there were lots of space for sitting and working. The stay was in a great location steps to the bay and around a three minute walk to the beach. There were lots of good places to eat and drink nearby as well. The only downside was that the water heater turned off sometimes so the shower went cold but it was a really simple fix if there is someone else in the house with you.

Place was sparkling clean and is in a great location. Bed isn’t bad and the living room couch is pretty comfortable. The ceiling fans are a nice touch for keeping it cool. Only downside for me was no parking space. It was a little stressful to keep moving the rental car with the different street sweeping schedules. Aaron communicates quickly and was very responsive to any questions I had. Definitely one of the better Air Bnb’s I have stayed at on Mission Beach.

The space was so clean and very well stocked! The extra beach amenities came in handy. Being two blocks away from the beach was amazing as well. The area was pretty quiet and we enjoyed our time here. Would definitely come back again!

This was my second time staying at this particular rental. Location is fantastic, you can walk to restaurants, as well and beach and bay with ease. Home is clean and they have Everything you need for a perfect day @ the beach. Parking can be a challenge, we found good spots at the cove, and it's a short walk back. Laundry needs quarters, so be sure to pack those. Overall a wonderful spot perfect for a couple or small family of 2-4 people.

Great location, everything you need nearby (a few restaurants, bars, food market) and of course you step out of the gate and there’s the view of the bay to one side and a path to the waves to the other side, so nice.

This place is wonderful! Great location right next to the beach. The is the greatest you’ll get for the price, can’t beat it! It was very clean and it was cozy! Felt like home! I highly recommend this place and I’m almost certain I’m coming back!!

What an amazingly cute and sweet little condo. I took my two sons down to Mission beach to meet up with my sister for a couple days she rented a house about six minutes away and this place couldn’t have been any more perfect. VERY clean & Super cute, nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the fold-out couch and fold-out chair for my little boy just worked out perfectly. It has everything you need except for parking but they clearly disclose that and I was easily able to find parking on Mission Boulevard when I needed it. Also, right now during Covid, they are not citing cars for parking on Mission Blvd where there is street sweeping. Be sure to confirm with San Diego’s website about that but it does say on their website for now, as of this date, and I did not get cited. A neighbor told me about it as well. The owner was extremely responsive and let me check in early and check out late. We brought bikes that we locked up in the courtyard and enjoyed using the bikes rather than the car all over Mission Beach. I would definitely stay again. Thank You!

I had the pleasure of staying at Aaron's place in Mission Beach. I stayed here for a week and I loved everything about it. My favorite part was that it would get flooded with natural light throughout the entire day and it had a mini balcony to enjoy breakfast on top of. Natural light aside, the place was immaculate, well-designed, had beautiful amenities, and a pleasure to stay in. He was even thoughtful enough to leave a welcome bottle of wine—bottled in 2013, now that's classy. The location is incredible. The walk to Mission Beach is roughly a 2-minute walk for cruisers and 60 seconds for speedwalkers. Within a three-block radius was a convenient liquor store that carried all of the essentials I needed, a quaint cafe that sold delicious acai bowls, and plenty of local restaurants to order takeout from. I would highly recommend Aaron's place to anyone needing a quick getaway right by the beach in a beautiful neighborhood. I'd rent it for another month if I could.

Very charming and bright place from which you can walk one block to ocean beach, one block to bay beach, one block to great coffee and breakfast. Being equidistant from downtown San Diego and LaJolla also a nice feature. Aaron and his team were super responsive and gave great advice on perks/services that are available locally. Thank you!

Aaron was a great host who provided quick responses. The condo was in a great location, it was clean and comfortable. The decor was thoughtfully put together and had great personal touches (such as a bottle of wine waiting on the counter - woohoo)! I’d definitely stay in one of Aaron’s condos when I’m back in San Diego.

We loved this place and even with the horrible parking situation we would still consider staying there again. This place is perfect if you never have to go anywhere in your car because parking is really difficult!

This was a very well appointed unit. Very hotel-like with fresh linens, nice furnishings, great kitchen and all the beach gear you could ask for. The only downside is that there’s no cable (yay Netflix) in the unit and not having designated parking is a bit of a nightmare. The unit itself and the speedy responsiveness of the host were top notch. I would definitely recommend this host and their properties...just plan ahead for parking. I stayed the week of July 4th and had to park nearly a mile away in a residential neighborhood and uber to my car. All in all it was a fantastic stay and super accommodations.

My wife & I were so happy with the place! It’s in such a great location and was exactly as advertised. Quick responses with anything we needed so communication was perfect. The place was really nice, well kept and comfortable. It made our vacation a pleasure and made our experience that much better. The neighborhood that it’s in was so lovely and we enjoyed walking and scootering around the area. We will definitely consider staying here the next time we visit.
