Mermaid Cove Your private Pacific Beach Oasis

This was a perfect location for our group of four, although it could comfortably fit more. Easy walk to Pacific Beach for sunset and food. Easy drive to the zoo and USS Midway Museum. Also, just a quick drive from airport too. Great location and comfortable house. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was safe and very walkable. There was a lot to do in the area or a quick drive to all the sights. Aaron sent a comprehensive guide to the home prior to arrival ( check I would have been a breeze if we had fully read this as the entrance is in the back of the home!). The home was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more! The cookware was somewhat limited, but it wasn’t a problem as we did not cook much. We really enjoyed the outside living space. We would highly recommend

We had an amazing stay! The accommodation was fresh, matched the photos perfectly, and was ideal for our family of four adults. The location was perfect, close to the beach, with plenty to do in the area. The parking space was a big plus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Cove. The house and yard were just as described -- and were very comfortable to stay in. The accommodations -- 2 bedrooms in the house and 1 in a separate unit -- fit our needs perfectly. We had 2 little ones with us and loved walking with them to Fanuel Park, which has both a great playground and gentle beach. We also appreciated that the Mermaid Cove is within walking distance of the boardwalk with all its restaurants and ocean beach. And the hosts were very responsive and helpful!

Wonderful stay at the Mermaid Cove! Location was ideal and the home was well stocked and clean. Had everything we needed for our family. Love how close it was to the playground at the bay for littles with the provided sand toys. Nice outdoor space to watch the palm trees. Quick communication with the host when we had a few questions. Perfect for our family of 5. The home was clean, welcoming, decorated well, and the patio was perfect for grilling and eating outside in the beautiful weather. The beds were very comfortable, we felt at home. The bay and beach are both walkable with lot's of shopping and places to eat. Having an assigned parking spot made things a lot easier also! Aaron the host was super responsive and helpful when needed. We plan to stay again when we come back to San Diego for a visit!

Wow! Owners were very communicative and very flexible to allow us to check in early. You think places will say they are clean but this exceeded expectations. So close to walk to the bay and the beach and feels very private as well! Would definitely stay here again!

Great place for a family vacation. Central to pretty much everything in San Diego. The two rooms in the main house were enough for our family of four. We used the bathroom in the separate, third bedroom each day and night for an extra place to shower and get ready which was great. Extremely clean all around and excellent communication with property manager. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was fantastic and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Our only items to note was that the quality of mattresses wasn't the best and that the Casita has a slight musty odor (but not too bad).

Aaron’s rental is impeccable and very tastefully updated. This Airbnb had one of the most well stocked kitchens I’ve seen. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for our group of 5. The separate bedroom provides privacy for a second couple and has its own bathroom. The outside is very private and peaceful as you can hear the owners water feature from the other side of the fence. A very short walk to the bay, as well as the ocean. Bars and restaurants also within a short walk as well. The review bashing Aaron’s place is absurd as this neighborhood is very safe and beautiful and the “alley way” to access the property was fine. I enjoyed running every morning around the bay and walking to the ocean to see sunset. Highly recommend staying here and would stay again in the future! Thanks Aaron!

Clean, beautiful modern building with lots of amenities and quality furnishings. Soft towels and lots of kitchen utensils and accessories. Mission Bay is steps away, and beach is about half mile. Groceries and restaurants within walking distance as well. Happy to recommend!

We had a great stay for our spring break trip. Communication and check in were very smooth. This is a great set up for a family with a central location to all the sites. Note that the third bedroom is a separate entrance with an older yet clean bathroom. The outdoor space is a lovely extension to the space.

I absolutely loved the Mermaid Cove. It was quiet, cozy, clean, spacious, and comfortable. It’s in a perfect location that’s close to both the bay and only 10 min walk from the beach. Everything I needed - they provided. I stayed for 4 nights and was able to use the kitchen and grill a decent amount. The living room was perfect for chilling and lounging. The bedroom was wonderful. Overall 10/10 experience.

Amazing home away from home. From the location to amenities in the house, we never missed a beat. I traveled here with my two small children and they can’t stop talking about “our house in San Diego”. Extremely family friendly, private, clean and safe. Everything you would want or need and more. The place is near Mission Bay and one can easily drive to anywhere interesting in SD within 30 min. The host was kind enough to provide us with early check in, which was incredibly helpful! The property requires accessing through a back alley but the instructions given were really detailed. I had no trouble finding and parking at the property.

Everything was perfect! The place was so clean and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The location was walkable and was very quiet. This was a great place to relax and enjoy the beaches. The beach chairs, towels and umbrellas were awesome. We love playing volleyball, so the courts at the bay was fun. We also took a late evening stroll at mission bay’s sidewalk and bridge. It was beautiful!!

This spot is a great place if you're looking a San Diego vacation. Just a short walk the bay or a short drive to a great viewing area at the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial. This place is within a short drive of multiple, of not all, sightseeing locations. Parking was a little tight, but we were in a huge SUV and managed comfortably. The surrounding neighborhood was clean, felt safe and well maintained. I would only suggest if they put on some privacy film on bathroom window as it's clear glass and within sight of a neighboring 2nd floor window. Other than that, very nice place for a stay. Will definitely look again on my next San Diego visit.

We really enjoyed our stay traveling with two families, each family having a child under the age of 5. Having the separate dwelling with a bed and bathroom was great to have with a baby so they could be asleep early and not disturbed by the other guests in the main house. We wish there was a little more lounging furniture with four adults, but all in all we really enjoyed the place and location to the beach and bay!

What a great property. The main house was spacious and spotless. We had everything we needed- so comfortable and cozy. The house was just steps away from the bay and a few blocks from the beach. The only issue was the smaller house was quite humid/ damp during first few days of stay. However, this is likely due to the significant rainfall that occurred.

What a great property. The main house was spacious and spotless. We had everything we needed- so comfortable and cozy. The house was just steps away from the bay and a few blocks from the beach. The only issue was the smaller house was quite humid/ damp during first few days of stay. However, this is likely due to the significant rainfall that occurred.

This place is fantastic! It’s pristinely clean in a fantastic location. The layout is great too - it’s nice to have the additional private bedroom. And we loved the little yard. Check in was a breeze & hassle free with the key code system. Highly recommend. Thanks so much, Aaron & Kara!

We had a wonderful stay in SD and enjoyed how central this location was to shopping, restaurants, and walking distance to Mission Bay / Pacific Beach area. The property was clean and had all of the essentials necessary to support a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Only negative feedback: saw two cockroaches, and the shower in the guest room is not good at all and needs to be replaced. It was a great Airbnb to stay in San Diego. Close to both the bay and the beach. Walking distance to a grocery store, shops, restaurants, and bars. Super clean and loved the outdoor area.

My family had an awesome stay at this Airbnb managed by Aaron and his team. Loved the separated 1 bedroom unit for my parents to have a quiet/private space - but only a few feet from the our family and kids in the 2 bedroom main unit. The décor is well curated and the unit had most of the items needed to cook any meal. The outdoor space was absolutely perfect for us - space for the kids to be outside yet safe and the nice deck, BBQ, and outdoor table for dinners outside were priceless. Last but not least, the location! A few blocks to the bay beaches/trails and an east stroll (or scooter ride) to the ocean. Overall a great set of spaces and location near everything in PB (but quiet at night) makes this a perfect family rental. Thanks Aaron!

We had a wonderful stay at Aaron’s property! The place looks exactly as pictured. The property itself was clean and comfortable and provided all the necessities for a few nights. Aaron was quick to respond and was flexible with check in / out times. The location was perfect for us (about a 15 minute walk to pacific beach / garnet ave). I would 100% recommend a stay here.

Hey we really enjoyed our stay. Loved the location and the house was clean. Laundry was a huge bonus. There definitely needs to be some sort of broom or dust buster vacuum to spot clean the house during a 4 night stay with 5 people it got crummy. Also the kitchen was clean but I’ve never stayed at an air bnb that didn’t even have salt and pepper shakers. Lolz. We had to buy everything to create a meal which is kinda annoying on a trip cause it goes to waste when you leave. I’d recommend basic seasonings. But honestly it’s one of our favorite spots we have stayed and I could definitely see us returning!!

The bnb was close to the beach. Walking distance and they were so attentive! Only downside were gnats from the drain. Assuming it was cause we were close to the beach. The host were amazing! The place was amazing, very modern! I will definitely recommend

This place was perfect! The actual place was better than the pictures (which are great pics btw). Great location for walking to the bay to the south, and to the restaurants/shops to the north. The parking spot was a bonus especially on the buys Sunday we arrived on. For our family of 4 with 2 young children, this was a relaxing, clean and quiet place to hang for the weekend! Additionally, Aaron was a great host!
