What a great stay! I used the outside area quite a bit for the obligatory vacation ‘work’ checkin. It was great inspo for a home patio! LOVED all of the info and automation offerings. Close to everything we needed! Can’t wait to come back!!

Place was just great for a quick anniversary weekend. Super clean and well appointed room with a lovely outdoor public space that was beautifully lit with edison lights and nice shade and landsaping. Only thing was, and not a biggie, we thought we were in the front unit as per the pic in the profile but we were in the rear unit which was just fine and matched the indoor pics perfectly. So that was a little confusing but the owners were quick to respond late at night as I was trying to get into the front unit and all was well minutes later. The front unit is the "Garden Suite" as in the pic and we were in the "Retreat Suite" which was in the rear of the building. It all worked just fine and we had a wonderful stay. Hosts were friendly and quick to respond with any communication. :)

The vacation rental was great and the backyard was beautiful. The property was clean and had everything we needed plus extra. The location was literally 15 to 20 mins from everything we wanted to do. The only thing that I didn’t care too much for was the 10:00am checkout but it didn’t kill us. His property, his rules. I would definitely rent again if ever in San Diego ?

Great spot and find! Great shared space and BBQ set up. Bed was super comfortable and shower was nice after a Long Beach day. Would rent again! Hosts are so friendly and helpful too! Got flowers delivered for our anniversary & you can get groceries sent even tho they provide a lot of what you may need! Just heads up there are people upstairs as stated meaning you’ll hear movement in the evening and mornings so bring earbuds if that affects your sleep (:

When we arrived, we were kindly greeted by Aaron’s sister and her pups. She helped clarify parking and even offered us tacos after the long trek to Cali. Our own parking space and private entrance was nice and the place was clean. The neighborhood was located really close to the beach which was great

We really enjoyed staying there! There was plenty of street parking and the neighborhood felt very safe. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I forgot to bring my shampoo and condition but the bathroom came stock with it (plus body wash) which was a very nice surprise! I highly recommend this place!

Aarons rental felt just at home! So convenient that you can park at the residence, although there was no instructions on where to park. Otherwise I would definitely stay again! The air fryer and clean bathroom was a perfect touch.

I had a misunderstanding about the listing. I thought i had rented out the whole house - turns out, it was just a room but that was my fault as I booked this at 1:00 AM & was half-asleep. The outdoor space is relaxing & beautiful though we did not use it for more than 10 mins.. The room itself was super clean. Aaron communicated with us before, during & after our stay. We tried to check-in an hour early but was told it wouldn't be ready until standard time. The day before check-out, we were asked if we would check-out earlier & I said no as 10:00 AM is early enough & we barely made it out on time. For clean-up, we had to wash our dishes & throw trash away. Parking was available in front of the property (street) the first night, however, our second night, we parked in the back. It was a little tricky to back-up our Highlander with the other van who didnt park correctly. If you have a small car, you'll be fine. Overall, we needed somewhere to sleep & this did just that.

We loved our stay here! It was a small guest house, but we had complete privacy and our own parking spot in the carport (which shared a wall with our unit). We were able to relax and even enjoy complementary drinks and snacks during our stay! We will definitely keep this location in mind for the future!

Loved staying here! It’s the perfect place for one or two people visiting SD for the first time. Not very far from La Jolla, Little Italy, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Balboa Park, fabulous vintage stores, great hiking options, and so many fantastic restaurants. It really was perfectly situated for what we wanted to experience and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing in between a packed itinerary :)

Please note that you will likely be sharing the property with 1-2 other parties. When I searched the place it seemed as though I would have the entire property to myself, and that was not the case. If you want to sleep in, this is not your property. If you are an early riser, then this will not affect you at all: I could easily hear the party above me, even though they were not trying to be loud....just normal movement. However, I was still awakened by it. On one of the mornings, I was awakened by the sound of a leaf blower from this air BNB's groundskeeper. Aaron and his team are absolutely wonderful to work with and he seemed to make note of these items as I mentioned them. The location is very strategic for beach time and city time, and there are some wonderful restaurants in the area. The room is PRISTINE clean, and fit the needs of my stay. AC and king bed are a great combo, and the drinks in the fridge were welcome and patio area was so peaceful to sit in the evening.

As a superhost myself I have high expectations as soon as I walk into a place and it is a breath of fresh air to see hosts like Aaron and Whitney overdeliver from check-in to check-out. The backyard was relaxing with the chairs, turf and full countertop — peaceful to the inside with clean / abundance of towels including makeup facecloth which I noticed. Also nice touches with the smart lock and an extra granola bars that made my stay while here at conference an easy in and out location. I would definitely stay here again!

Very comfortable stay. Thanks to Aaron and the team for their communication throughout my trip. Unit was clean and tidy. Bathroom was a plus for me and my girlfriend as it seemed newly renovated and had all amenities (shampoo, conditioner, bath wash all in the shower). Mattress was super comfortable and we knocked out easily without need for melatonin lol. Parking was a breeze as our studio had a designated parking spot in the back of the property, otherwise there is street parking on the main. Location was great—visited old friends in familiar neighborhoods like La Jolla and Pacific Beach. Even a rock climbing gym about 10 min away. Only thing was we were under the impression that our studio was right where the patio area was (assumed immediate entry based on photos). Our unit was another bottom floor unit around the corner towards the back of the house. This wasn’t a problem as our stay was still private and comfortable. Thanks again Aaron; would recommend the stay.

Aaron and his sister, Whitney, were always very responsive to our inquiries and he did us a big favor by allowing us to extend an additional day/night after the reservations had already been made. The place was private, clean, and pretty spacious as well for a studio. My only comment would be that its location is a bit removed from the center of activities. If we didn't have a vehicle, it might have been more challenging to see everything that we visited. They are in walking distance to the Balboa Train station/bus stop, which we were able to utilize when we visited Old Town and downtown. I'd recommend that they have a map of the area in the apartment, as that would have been helpful (for me anyway). I'm not a big fan of using maps on my phone. Overall, we had a great time and they were excellent hosts.

Perfect location and such a private, peaceful setting. Very safe and easy parking, great instructions. Very friendly host, gorgeous courtyard with drinks, loved the beautiful landscaping. Great place, great location and great host. The room has a lot of amenities - the king size bed is very comfortable, the shower is roomy, plentiful towels and washcloths, many supplies throughout the room to make your life just as comfortable as home. Was in a perfect location, literally 15 min from everything we did the whole time. The place was perfect size and very clean. I was worried about parking and that ended up not being a worry at all. There was always plenty of room right in front of the address for our over sized SUV. Check in was so easy and smooth and the directions we received left no questions at all if we were going the right way or what to do. I lost my phone in the ocean the second day in so had none of the info that was sent to me, however that didn’t matter because it was all right there wrote down for us. We enjoyed our stay there and would for sure come back if we visit that area ever again.

Absolutely beautiful place. It’s in a very safe, central, and quiet location. This Air Bnb has everything you need, including the little things like hangars, closet space, bandaids, hair tools, lotion, conventual stoves, silverware, ice, refrigerator/freezer microwave etc. They really thought of ALL of the essentials one would need when traveling. There are light canceling blinds which helped us sleep in and enjoy our vacation. This is one the best air bnb’s we’ve stayed in by far!

What a great place. Loved the outdoor space with the grill! They provided everything you could possibly need to cook, both inside and outside, I've never been to an airbnb that provided so much in the kitchen/grill area, I wish I'd had a longer stay to take advantage of it! The free beer and sparkling waters were so nice. The bed was soft and comfortable, even for my partner who has back issues. The shower is SO NICE. Honestly there's nothing to complain about, this place is great, and the hosts were so nice! One thing to mention is that this is not a walkable area if you are on foot. It's close to Pacific Beach, but only by car or bus, because the highway and light rail tracks are in the way of walking or biking. Not anything wrong with the airbnb, just a note to other travelers!

This Airbnb was in the most perfect location and Aaron was very clear and communicative with the check-in/check-out process. Pictures were very accurate. The neighborhood itself is a quiet and quaint residential neighborhood. All of the restaurants/coffee shops/retail stores we went to were just a <15 min drive away. (La Jolla cove, Little Italy, Gaslamp, etc.) The beaches are even closer than that! Parking was a plus. There is free street parking directly in the front and behind the unit in a shared driveway. Our BMW SUV fit perfectly fine. The alleyway to get to the driveway behind the unit can easily be missed. The street itself is a tight space. You’ll know you’re on the right street if you see a lemon tree full of fresh lemons dangling over a fence! We will definitely be back to San Diego. Thanks for being a great host!

Great neighborhood-quiet and safe! Easy walk to the trolly station-we did it during the day and night-no issues at all. The air bnb was cute and had everything we needed. The little yard was beautiful and I recommend sitting out there and enjoying it if you can!

Great stay! We loved that it came with a parking spot, so we were able to drive over from Phx and park without having to pay for parking. The room was excellent, and the mini split kept the room nice and warm during the chilly nights. Cute community space with free beer! Will definitely stay again. Hosts were very responsive and friendly.

It was a nice cozy little studio in San Diego and the hosts thought of everything. They provided bubbly water, beer, & a bottle of wine (which I had requested for when we arrived). It was a convenient location & quick drive to the beach. The parking spot in the back of the house is a bit tight for a bigger vehicle but was nice that I could charge my vehicle. It appears the house was made into three different rooms to be rented out. There is a super cute common area in the front of the place which was enjoyable for drinking coffee in the morning. While we were at the studio there was some construction occurring in the upstairs unit which wasn’t the best way to wake up. You also can’t use the exercise equipment if someone is parked in the other spot, which someone was the entire time of our stay. There was one safety issue which I brought up to the host that there were no GFI plugs by the kitchenette. Hopefully that will get fixed soon. The host is very thoughtful and provides a lot of amenities that other Airbnbs don’t provide.

Great little retreat in a prime location of San Diego. Hosts were very flexible and communicated very fast with any questions we had. Parking was easy and plenty of storage space in the unit for any belongings!

This studio was a good spacious size. It felt nice and cozy, and had anything you would need during a quick getaway. We used the grill with ease, and were allowed to play low music before quiet time. The cold beer variety in the outside fridge were definitely a plus. Check-in was easy, the hosts were always a text away, and parking aside from the carport was good. It is definitely one of the better AirBnBs I have stayed at. On the down side, the A/C unit did not work and it was pretty warm, even with the fan. Whitney was quick to respond and attempt to reset it but it still did not work. And, while it may have been because of the weekdays, be aware that you may here noise from upstairs early in the morning (if you plan to sleep in). That aside, this is definitely a good AirBnB choice. It has close proximity to all the different spots in Mission Bay and Pacific Beach. The hosts are attentive, and they provide many toiletries that are adequate for day trips and activities in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay! Small space but very well appointed with a lovely garden deck. Host provides many great touches like fresh ground coffee, drinks, and snacks. Great location close to shops and downtown. Very quiet at night.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb, perfectly located in Mission Bay and so close to everything. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the pillows!! The shower was amazing, with great water pressure and a very large walk-in shower. So many amenities are provided from a washer and dryer, an air fryer, fully equipped kitchenette, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, extra blankets, plenty of towels and toiletries, and much more. There were refreshments and drinks in the room. This was so much more than we expected and we actually enjoyed just relaxing in the room. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Beautiful, clean and relaxing stay. The place was neat and clean the bed was so comfortable. There is not a full kitchen but there are two hot plates and a toaster oven which was perfect and more then enough for us to still cook. Aaron was quick to respond and was more then willing to accommodate any needs we had prior to checking in. We would defiantly stay again

Our stay at Mission Bay Studio Retreat was perfect! The home is centrally located and not more than a 15min drive to most everywhere you would want to go. Communication with Aaron and Whitney was super easy and they always kept us up to date on check-in/check out processes, etc. The patio was a perfect place to hang out, especially while waiting for Ubers. Would definitely recommend this stay to someone who is visiting San Diego for the first time.

Perfect place to stay for us in SD! We loved the space and truly felt at home. The washer/dryer was a game changer with the amount of hiking we did. We had a truck so had to park on the street instead of the carport but never had to look more than 20 feet from the house for a spot. Central location that was easy to hit our favorite spots from and made taking a midday break to regroup, change, or drop stuff off very easy.

Nice cosy place for two with nice proximity to everything in La Jolla. Very nice and welcoming owners. As mentioned on the ad, be careful to park in the alley if you have a big van or truck, that space could be really compact for some .. street parking in front is easily available all times.

We stayed for 2 nights at the studio and had a very comfortable and relaxing stay there. Check in was easy and everything was clean. We loved having an airfryer in the room to heat up leftover pizza and in laundry unit to wash our beachwear before packing it to go back home.

Highly recommend Aaron's place. squeaky clean, organized, stoked and cozy! Aaron had refreshments AND bonus beach gear for us to use (camp chairs, beach towels, beach blanket, beach umbrella and even a stove!). Don't let me forget to mention the parking spot! The location is great too! So impressed with how quick-to-respond Aaron was! Will most definitely stay here again!!!

What an amazing place!!!!! Everything was very clean and exactly how it looks in the pictures. After staying a night in another airbnb which the bed was not that comfortable, my back was killing me since we drove 3 hours to get to San Diego. However, the bed in this airbnb was out of this world! I slept like a baby every night! The host replied to my message very quickly (less than 10 minutes) and had water and coke in the fridge in our room for us, as well as drinks in the outside fridge. They also let us do late check out last minute which I was not expecting for the host to say yes to. I have not experience such an amazing host and place before. They also leave recommendations of where to go eat, which was very helpful! Also, everything was less than a 20 minutes drive away. Lastly, I felt very safe in the neighborhood. I came home at midnight and did not feel like I had to run to my room. Everything was perfect thanks to the host doing such an amazing job, there needs to be more host like you guys!

Aaron was a great host! We loved how homey the unit felt, the easy keypad check-in, the private entrance and the opportunity to occupy the available parking spot not to mention ample street parking. We took a walk around the neighborhood at around 8am and it was super worth it, from the views of the ocean/ mountains/ homes to the peace and stillness of the morning. Lovely stay, thank you.

Perfect place with so many small touches that made it feel like home! They literally had everything you need to have a great stay:) did have to run to the store for anything! The laundry unit was a huge plus. Didn’t have to haul a bunch on dirty clothes back home. Thank y’all so much! Oh and we LOvED the outside area to chill after a long day:)

As a women traveling around San Diego the entire experience was beyond expectations. The room had everything I needed - little kitchen, grill outside, easy parking and tons of accommodations to make the experience so wonderful! The house is owned by a women and is the most lovely human and accommodating that stocks up the fridge in the cute little grill area and provides a very relaxing outdoor space. The neighborhood is super safe and everyone was so friendly. If I could of - I would of stayed longer but it’s now just a good excuse to comeback with a friend!

This location was such a great one for our stay! It was centrally located and easy to get around (with a rental car) easy freeway access to PB, mission bay, downtown, etc. we even did food delivery one night which was very easy. The back patio is so cute and relaxing to just hang out at night on. The parking stall that comes with the location is small but we just used street parking and it was never an inconvenience. Overall, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean, beach towels were easy to use and we washed them, with the easy access laundry machine, also, communication was excellent and hosts were so friendly! Would 10/10 stay here again. It’s a great stay for a couple!
