We loved our stay here! Perfect for our family of five! Location is amazing, we parked our car when we got there and didn’t get in it until we left. We loved being able to walk everywhere we needed to go. Perfect location for a family to spend a few days playing and relaxing at the beach! Aaron was very responsive when I had any questions. Great location, having a garage is great as parking can be tough, house was clean and well taken care of, my only gripe and its minor is the blinds wouldn’t go up to really enjoy the view from inside.

This is the first time I’ve been to San Diego. The house we’ve rented was perfect. Open the front door and the ocean is right in your face …so awesome to wake up to every morning.! Morning walks are amazing!! The place was clean .. so thoughtful to leave snacks for us. We had everything that we needed. The only issue was the living room window. It did not stay open so we used a sand toy shovel from the garage and kept it propped open to get the ocean breeze at night! Would definitely recommend this place !

The unit is clean, nicely decorated and had all of the basics - lovely. It was the perfect location for us - directly on the boardwalk/beach, quiet enough but still a quick and easy walk to restaurants, bars, grocery or whatever you may need. It is a pretty tiny space and I can't imagine being more than a couple or a family with very young children, but otherwise great! My only reason for the deduction of one star is the lack of airflow. To be fair, I did read some reviews that mentioned this but had hoped that it had perhaps been remedied, or that being so late in the season it wouldn't really be an issue. It was. We appreciated the fans provided and they helped but the front windows not opening and having to find a way to prop the small one open just a bit meant the only way to get any airflow was to keep the front door open. This is obviously less than ideal- perhaps even just a screen would help to feel less exposed and invite fewer flies? Remedy this and it is absolutely 5 stars.

Great location! Great price! Kids loved being able to walk to the indoors when needed. There were 2 issues though. The side door to access the garage didn’t lock from the outside/front of the rental. We had to walk to the back, open the garage door then turn the lock and exit out the way we came in. Another issue is no AC with the sun blazing on the front windows from sunrise to sunset. We had to keep the front door open to allow air flow and cool us down while we got ready or when we were eating. This didn’t allow any privacy unfortunately. Otherwise the location was great!

This property is very well stocked with anything you need, including even a spice rack and sunscreen ! It is in an excellent location to be walkable to restaurants and amenities. We brought our own bicycles and were able to keep them in the garage. The host was wonderfully accommodating with both us and the renters above for our disabilities. He was very welcoming, friendly and responsive. The view of the beach from the living area and patio is fantastic and we could hear ocean waves from our bedrooms. The only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are no windows to open in the living area and so on a warm day we had to keep the blinds closed to reduce heat build up so choice was view or comfort.

Central Mission Beach location located ON the boardwalk. Clean and easy access to beach and restaurants. As with any beach location, just need to be reminded there is a lot of sand! Suggest packing indoor slippers or flip flops to wear in house and keep shoes at door.

Front door open towards the ocean. Watch ocean waves and sunset right at the patio or living room. Comfortable and relaxing. Parking can get a little tricky as the garage opens slanted but parked a minivan without difficulty (just need to have people watch the corners when you park). Parking is no fault of the host, that’s just how the house was built.

If you want a property right by the beach in San Diego, you cant go wrong with this one. Our family enjoyed sitting on the front porch facing the ocean and relaxing by the boardwalk. This rental has an amazing view and is located at a great location! Restaurants and bars are all walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay at this rental. It can get stuffy and hot but there are fans available and opening the windows helped. We had some ants crawling in the kitchen area and in the bedroom with the bunk beds, but given the location we understand that’s bound to happen and it did not ruin our stay. We really enjoyed the view and easy access to the beach. This rental is fully equipped with all of the necessities and beach gear.

Just the issue with parking, we drove 2 cars... and hard to look for 2nd parking along the mission Blvd. So it's easier if you just go with 1 car. But lovely place and will rent here again for sure. We have stayed in this rental at least 4 times. We love it here! The huge oceanfront deck is perfect for people watching on the boardwalk and beach. Very convenient for beach days to grab whatever you need throughout the day. The 2 car garage is great. We have a large SUV, which fits on one side and the other is great for all of our bikes, skateboards and beach gear. Love having a washer-dryer too. The house has most of what you need in the kitchen and throughout. This year's addition of bunk beds in one room, a new dining table and some decorations throughout was great too! We will definitely continue to stay in this place in the future. We stay here if it's just our family but will get a bigger place if traveling with another family. There is also the option to rent the upstairs unit too for multiple families, but we haven't been able to coordinate that yet. The property manager was very responsive and great to work with. An all-around great experience!

This is a very nice beach house perfectly located away from the really crowded parts of the beach but still close enough to walk to anything. It lacks some kitchen items like very few utensils, no Tupperware type containers, and no baking sheets. The front patio is the best part!! It does come with lots of sand chairs and beach towels. The only really bad part was the upstairs renters did laundry every day and the laundry vents right on the front patio so sitting there you get the heat and the Downey smell.

This property could have not been more conveniently located. What I thought was a road between the house and the beach was actually a narrow pedestrian/bike path, which provided both easy beach access as well as ample people watching. The space itself is fairly compact and efficient, but as we just used it as a home base for our other activities, it worked great for us. Four people fit comfortably, although you could fit two more if they slept on the common room sectional. The house had most of the basics, although it was unfortunately missing beach towels. We reached out to the number provided but didn’t hear back until just before checking out (although this may have been a phone carrier issue, as mine was acting up). The beds were comfortable, the space was clean, and we had a great trip, especially for the reasonable price! We’d definitely stay here again with another couple.

Although there were drawbacks: couch didn’t work as a bed, microwave didn’t work, smelled dangerously like a gas leak, not enough bath towels, beach towels, paper towels, or toilet paper, bbq had old food stuck, outdoor hose broken, trash in garage was full, old dishes in stinky dishwasher, master bed has a brick under a post protruding dangerously, in the shower was an old used wet washcloth, and on the sink a used toothbrush.

We were pleased with the property. The bedrooms have some updated bedspreads which were cute. I would hope the owners would consider installing a screen door on the front door, so the breeze can come through the home as the front windows do not open. My family of 7 stayed here for 4 nights. Me, my kids, my mom and 2 grandchildren, 5,3, along with our 2 dogs. The place had everything we could need for cooking our meals and sleeping. Beach front with so many things around. The place is clean and well stocked. Loved that we had a garage and washer and dryer. Even though the place is a little older, everything inside including appliances are new and everything worked well. We stayed here when it was overcast and hurricane Hilary came through which was a bummer for the rain one day but nothing you can do about the weather. My mom loved sitting on the porch watching the waves and sunset! She can’t go far due to her COPD, so it was perfect! The dogs loved being on the beach everyday before 9 and after 6. THX Aaron!

My family stayed in this house in November, 2022. The house itself is very cute, nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed including a toaster, blender and coffee maker. There is ample seating in the living room for our family of 5 with a large L-shaped sofa. The extras in the garage were a huge bonus. I didn't realize the water would be so cold and we used the wetsuits and boogie boards to swim in the ocean despite it being only 60 degrees! The view from the patio was perfect - gorgeous sunsets every night, right outside our door. Not only did we love being right on the boardwalk and the beach, but the location of the rental is only a few blocks from good beach restaurants and a big grocery store. We didn't have a car and this was very nice for us. I would definitely stay in this rental again.

5 stars with a bullet for the location. Right on the oceanfront walk with a great sitting area to watch the sunset on the waves and passersby. I wouldn't have given it five starts to start, though. There's a distinct musty smell to the place that never dissipated, regardless how much we let it air out. And it was very difficult to get the right temperature (in December) for sleeping. We got in very late, set the thermostat and went to bed - and froze. The thermostat isn't connected to anything. Next night we set up the heaters and it was way too hot because their thermostats are ineffective. The answer: put a single heater in the kitchen facing the wall and leave the bedroom door open exactly one and a half inches. We sat down to watch the World Cup final the first morning and tried working the Direct TV per the instructions - but it wasn't connected to anything either. So that was disappointing. The boogie boards and beach toys were completely rag-tag - until we discovered that the upstairs neighbours had all of the good gear at their place, which they promptly brought back down. So a bit of a ragged start but the property manager saved the day by being so mind-bogglingly responsive. If I had a VRBO property I would hire him in a heartbeat. So 5 stars by the end, but you have to appreciate that, despite the cost, this is a cozy beach shack and not a luxury condo. The price is ALL for the location. And it's worth it. We would go back. P.S. great coffee shop and gyros a stone's throw away.

My family stayed here for 3 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Location is the best part of it. Just right in front the beach and also in the nice down town like area where you get everything food/groceries etc. Good kitchen and a small TV(may be 40"), it can be bigger. Blinds on the window facing the beach was not working and I contacted Aaron and it was fixed quickly. Pets allowed. There is a small patio area enough place to sit for a small group of people but this area is not maintained. There were couple of wooden chairs without cushion. It did not look like they care and maintain that area. It will be nice to have a patio with nice seating area and also gated fence. There is no fence so, no place for me to leave my dog walk free. These are some upgrades that will make this place really amazing. There was a broken hose to wash the sand off, but it would have been nice to have decent shower outside. I will certainly consider staying here again but I have to admit that it is not topnotch rental but has the potential to be one. Checkout time is 10am. I requested early check-in and late checkout and Aaron gave me 2 extra hours. It was nice not having to rush to check out at 10am.

My daughter always wanted to stay in the lime green house :) So happy it was available for Easter weekend. We had a great stay! Very close to all breakfast, lunch, dinner spots.

Overall my stay at Ron's place was great. The check in and check out process was easy and without complication. I stayed by myself with my dog, and felt very safe walking at night in the area. The outside porch is relaxing, and a nice place to listen to the ocean/people watch. I would agree with other reviews that the apartment was thrown together in ways-- it's not really suited to hang out there. Otherwise, the location is perfect- just steps away from the boardwalk/beach. Downtown was only about 15 minutes away, La Jolla 25 mins, and Ocean Beach (Dog Beach) 10 mins away. Couldn't have asked for a better first time in San Diego!

Ron Fletcher is a pleasure to work with! His listing was correct and honest, he made it easy to pay and check in, and the beach house was wonderful for me and my family! Ron goes above and beyond for his clients. One day I was sick, and being from out of town, I called Ron and asked if he knew of a local doctor. He referred me to a wonderful doctor and because of Ron, the rest of my day and vacation was excellent! The only thing I regret is not taking the time to meet Ron personally; maybe next time. I would recommend this property as a great beach front property and recommend Ron as an excellent property manager / owner. I hope we can stay at this property again in the future. Thanks for everything Ron!

This apartment was awesome! It could not be in a better location. It was very clean and updated. Ron was great to work with. I had never done anything like this before, he made the entire process painless. He was prompt, courteous and patient when answering ALL my questions. The property is just as it is described and priced just right. It has its own garage so we did not have to worry about parking. I would recommend this place to anyone. We cannot wait to return and stay here next summer!

I booked this property for my brother's birthday in February. The house is beautiful, the location right on the beach. The apartment opens right up to the ocean. We had a great time walking up and down the boardwalk and along the ocean. There was a grocery store walking distance, as well as restaurants, bars, breweries and the roller coaster. We fit 7 people in the apartment comfortably and didn't have issues with only one bathroom. The kitchen was short on some expected supplies (such as coffee and sugar) but as the grocery store was close it gave us an excuse to go for a walk. We were able to use both garage parking spots which was nice. Although the location was perfect, the manager was difficult to work with. I had to email AND call multiple times to get any questions answered, even simple ones. I had trouble getting clarification on even where to send the check. We were told check-in was at 3pm but when I called for the door codes I was told the cleaning crew would be there until 3:30 or 4 and would leave if we showed up on time. I was told checkout was at 11 to find out it was 10am. Our card was double charged for the deposit and it took two weeks and a couple emails to finally get the money back. The management was frustrating- 2 stars but the property was fantastic- 5 stars

This was my 3rd stay at this property and as usual had a great beach vacation. Initially chose this property because Ron allows dogs and it has a 2 car garage. If you've ever tried to park in Mission Beach on a w/e, the garage is a huge asset. This isn't the fanciest rental on the beach but it's "beach cozy". If I wanted fancy I sure wouldn't be looking for it at the beach! You're steps from the sand..just sit on your patio and watch the world go by. Ron recently completely remodeled the kitchen and added other upgrades. He's very accessible and answers his calls and resolves any problems immediately. This property pretty much sits right in the middle of Mission Beach so it's an easy walk to a number of restaurants in the area. If you plan on doing any grocery shopping there are several grocery stores within 5-6 miles. The kitchen is pretty well stocked with equipment so cooking meals doesn't become an issue. But..no dishwasher so plan on bonding with the kids after dinner!

AWESOME LOCATION JUST DOWN THE WALK FROM NIGHT LIFE! NEWLY UPDATED KITCHEN HAS ALL APPLIANCES WITH OPEN CONCEPT TO TV ROOM. ADORABLE 2 BEDROOM/ONE BATH DOWNSTAIRS RENTAL! BATHROOM IS NEWLY REMODELED. IF YOU LOVE THE BEACH AND PEOPLE WATCHING THIS PLACE IS PERFECT. SITS RIGHT ON THE BOARD WALK AND THE PATIO IN FRONT PROVIDES THE AVAILABILITY OF AN ENDLESS DISPLAY OF THE BEACH GOERS, BOARDWALK BICYCLISTS, RUNNERS, SKATEBOARDERS AND TOURISTS. GARAGE IS RIGHT OFF OF THE PATIO WITH A WASHER AND DRYER AVAILABLE. THIS WAS A PERFECT SIZE AND SETTING FOR ME AND MY BEST FRIEND FOR A WEEK.

I have rented from the Ron Fletcher Team for 5 straight years now and cannot be more happy about my stay. I would consider myself an experienced Mission/ Pacific Beach vacationer having come here for the last 33 years and stayed at more than 10 locations. This is a prime spot being close to restaurants and shopping while having the ocean at your footsteps. This location also has a great patio that was just extended to give more room to lounge on this oceanfront property. Also, every year we have had excess vehicles in our group and Ron has accommodated us with additional spaces in his other business. I highly recommend this location as one of the more affordable and accommodating prime spots on the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We had a group of 7 and we fit perfectly. Met Ron when we arrived and he was very accommodating. Heather also answered any questions we had. The location is perfect for people watching and the ocean view is perfect! We saw dolphins daily and the canopy installed over the patio was an excellent idea! It kept us in the shade and allowed the awesome breeze to run through. We stayed here for a week and do not have a single complaint. I would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my two weeks stay at the Ocean Front Beach House. The ocean view was breathe taking! Although I had to spend half my time working, the view of the ocean made my days much more pleasant and soothing. Ron and Heather were very accommodating and responded to my questions in a timely manner. The house was centrally located to shops and restaurants. I'm looking forward in the future having the opportunity to stay at the house again.

My experience staying at this beach front rental was fabulous. The upgrades to the kitchen and bathroom were nicely done. It was very clean. Loved the walking, restaurants and enjoy the beautiful beach.

My wife, au pair and two young boys enjoyed Ron's place very much. we took advantage of the garage (fit a minivan and then a compact car when a friend in town stopped by) The beach is right there, the deck is spacious for at least 8-10 people and you're close to both PB and Mission Beach attractions. newly remodeled and big enough for kids to sleep in separate rooms. laundry in the garage and the neighbors are nice as well. we'll probably be back this Feb if all works out! Location, location, location! If you want to walk to everything that Mission Beach has to offer then this is the place for you! The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived and came with pretty much everything you would expect to stay for 1 week or more. Ron and Heather were great to work with and always responded to any questions that I had prior to or during our stay. Can't wait to go back again!

We really love the location of this rental, but felt like everything inside was thrown together. The kitchen and bathroom are nice, but the bedrooms and living room need work. The closets contained broken box and oscillating fans and one very old floor lamp. You can't read sitting on the sofa or in the bedrooms because the only light comes from a very bright ceiling fixture. Would be nice to have a table or floor lamp. One of the windows had to be propped open with a coat hanger and would not close. First time we turned on the TV it said there was no signal so we turned it off and never tried again. It was actually nice not having television for an entire week. We could have called the owner about these things and he would have fixed them, but I don't want to mess with stuff like that when on vacation. I want it to work when I get there. We don't come to Mission Beach to sit inside, but could use some updating.
