Good location and amenities as listed. Front yard is nice, though the backyard is not accessible due to a tenant living in the back of the house. Beach towels and sand toys for the kids were thoughtfully provided.

We had a great stay in the cottage. It was close to the beach and lots of restaurants. We had 8 adults which made the bathroom/bedroom arrangements a little tricky but it worked for us. Everyone had a fun trip and that’s what counts.

Loved the location and the house. Perfect for our mother/daughter getaway. The only thing that stood out was that a few of the beds were very squeeky when being slept on. Other then that, we had a great time.

Our stay was excellent!! The home was in the most perfect location, walking distance to anything you need. The house was spacious and had plenty of beds for our group of 8. The bunk room situation was not an issue and worked out since there is a door! It’s hard to find a large affordable place in this area of town and I’m grateful we found this!

The home was absolutely spotless and beautiful! Each room had a unique theme. Very quiet neighborhood, but close to the beach (10min walk), and less than 5 min driving distance to Pacific Beach. Highly recommend!!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay! The location is excellent, and the neighborhood and walkability to the beach and restaurants is unbeatable. The main hiccup was a lack of clarity on the 3rd & 4th bedrooms and second bath. The 4th bedroom (with bunk beds) is connected to the third (and the light switch for this room is located in the 3rd bedroom, which really eliminates its function as an independent bedroom. It's also uninsulated and without a closet, does not qualify as a real bedroom. The 3rd bedroom has a quarter bathroom (with just a toilet and sink) and then next to it, there's a stand-up shower in the bedroom, not separated by a real door or anything. So it's a bit funky and not disclosed in the listing clearly enough (if at all). While we made it work with our family, I could see how it could be a deal breaker for some. I don't think it's fair to call or price this as a four-bedroom place, I'd call it a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath with a bonus room. We'd happily return if priced as a 3 bed!

This property was so cute and charming. It was decorated picture perfect and is located in a charming neighborhood perfect for walking or a quick run to the beach. It was also a central location with all of Pacific Beach’s attractions a mile away. The host was super accommodating and quick responsive. Check in was easy and we had great parking access on the driveway. Beds and home was super comfy with everything needed provided including ice, coffee, creamers, etc. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend this property and host. Great stay overall given the excellent location (10 min walk from PB!) and price, with a few minor inconveniences (TV sometimes did not work, flooding in one of the rooms from rain, digital key stopped working halfway through our trip). The owner was responsive in dealing with all of these issues however.

The best thing about this rental was the location. It was literally blocks from the beach in a really cool beach town. The area is quiet but has a lot to do. There were several really good restaurants within walking distance, including Java Coffee, Second Nature, and Enoteca Adriana Italian. We did have some issues with the layout. I’m not sure this is a legit 4 bedroom 2 bathroom house. There are two bedrooms in the front that are nice and big with a full bath between them. The other two “bedrooms” are a room at the back of the house that has a half bath in it and a shower that is literally in the bedroom. The last bedroom is an enclosed porch behind that bedroom. It’s tiny and not well insulated. We are a blended, extended family. We needed more privacy than the space offered. Unfortunately, we ended up having to get a hotel room for one of the couples that came. All of that aside, the house was decorated really cute. They made sure everything needed is in the house.

A really lovely house in a really great location! It’s a quick 15-20 min walk to the beach and all the fun Pacific Beach restaurants. We love this area. The house looks more or less like the pictures, with thoughtful touches like power strips thoughtfully located next to the bed, lots of towel hooks, and great decor. We loved that the house also included some beach towels, beach blankets, and sand toys. The host is also super responsive. You can tell someone really thought through what someone staying here would need to have a great vacation! Note that the two rooms (queen and bunk beds) are only separated by a curtain and share one small bath, while the front two rooms (kings) share the other, larger bath.

This house is great! I stayed here with my husband, 2 small children, my mother in law and father in law and it was perfect for what we needed. It's a short walk down to the beach for the day or down to Law street cliffs to watch the sunset or walk the boardwalk. You can walk to Java Earth coffee shop in the morning for great coffee and breakfast, or Lahaina's for awesome Hawaiian breakfast. For dinner you can walk to Second Nature, Fishery, or Enoteca Adriano. There are plenty of other places to walk to in either direction but those are a few of my favorites we went to. There is a code lock on the front door they send you in an email which makes check in so easy and great for the rest of the trip too! No keys required. It's rare for a house by the beach to have A/C, but this place has a little window unit in the living room which came in clutch. Between that and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms we could sleep comfortably in the heat wave. The way the house is set up it almost has 2 separate wings on either side of the kitchen which worked well for us. The two king bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle had a hallway with doors to the kitchen and living room you can shut. We used this for our kids in one room and us in the other which was great since the kids went to bed before everyone and we could hang out and not worry about waking them, then keep our doors open in the night to hear them across the hall. The back wing behind the kitchen has a queen bedroom with a toilet and shower right in the room which was perfect for my in laws. Connected to that room off the back is a small concrete room with bunk beds, so this wing could be for another family perfectly! We used the twin mattresses on the floor in the king bedroom for our kids though since they are too young for the bunk beds. The neighborhood is just far enough from Garnet that it is quiet at night with no noise issues, but you can make it down there easily if you want to. All in all we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

This house was a perfect location for us and some family coming from out of town. Aaron responded to any and every question we had very quickly. This was an easy 10 min walk to the beach and easy walk to many amazing food places. The costs of air bnbs right now are extremely high but I thought just location and size this was a great deal. Would definitely stay again!
