We had a perfect stay in this wonderful bungalow. The location is just great, with the bay and the beach so close. It took us four minutes to walk to the promenade and beach. We loved to sit outside on the patio and at the firepit. The BBQ was almost new. Inside there is enough space for everybody. There are restaurants, take-aways and grocery stores close by. We would definitely come again!

We rented this place the first week of August. We have been renting the past 20+ years in the South Mission Beach area. All in all this was a great location, close to the bay and beach as well as the Mission Market for groceries. The inside was great and had everything we needed and plenty of sleeping space. The only complaint I have is the outside patio furniture. The cushions were very old and worn and stained and with all of the time spent outside that would be something inexpensive to update as needed. The outside patio could also use a fresh coat of paint. We did love the fire pit and used that nightly. We would definitely consider renting again.

House is in perfect location-right between the Bay and the ocean. It is walkable to restaurants and shopping. The house was very comfortable and stocked with everything you’d need. It has a 2 car garage that has an amazing amount of beach chairs and toys. Aaron was great-responded immediately whenever I had a question. We would definitely choose to rent this house again on future trips to San Diego.

We enjoyed our stay here. They were very responsive with all questions and requests. They only issues we had were with the floors being dirty and the garage door not opening using the keypad on the outside. They sent a cleaning service the very next day to get the floors cleaned which we greatly appreciated. They also had a temporary fix for the garage door for us which worked for our stay. All in all a great place to stay at and we liked that it was so close to the beach we were able to walk there.

This property was exactly as shown on the posting. I was amazed at how CLEAN it was when we arrived. It did not look like other guests just checked out that morning. Aaron is very responsive and helpful. There was a pack and play available and I made a special request for an additional air mattress which he provided! Plenty of extra blankets, towels and all the kitchen essentials you would need including a microwave and oven. The only minor inconvenience is getting in and out of the home. With instructions we copied never get the right garage door to open from the outside. When arriving or departing, someone always needed exit the car to manually enter the code to open the garage. Remote garage openers would be helpful. The front door smart lock was also out of batteries when we tried to use it so we had to exit through the garage and go around. Minor inconveniences but overall 5 strong stars! Location is great. Quiet and only 2 houses away from the bay.

When we arrived after a long day, as we walked in we felt right at home absolutely love the front patio everything was up to date and very clean it was perfect for our family. Cute house close to the beach. Bedroom furniture is a little worn and the space is much smaller than I thought it was. But the bathrooms were clean and overall it's a nice house. The two-car garage is nice (and seemingly rare in this area) and I was able to get my Nissan Armada in with a little finesse. Kids will like the bunk beds and the tvs are all nice with Roku.

Fit our family of 5 comfortably. House itself is a bit tight but having the front patio extended the useable space. Grill and fire pit were nice to have. Close to the bay in south mission. Best part was having all of the beach toys there. Also plenty of dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent, not stingy at all! Outdoor shower was great!

Great location, nice house with cozy beds and a perfect layout. The master bedroom is split from the other two rooms. The garage was so nice to have. We left the car most of the time and just Uber around. The beach was so close, the bay even closer. Everyone around was so friendly. This was a perfect peaceful vacation.

The home was excellent! We were so excited when we walked up to the home. Its steps away from the bay and the ocean --tucked away in a cute courtyard. We cooked breakfasts and there were filters and coffee avail which was nice because only one person needed coffee. The kitchen was stocked, the beds were comfortable. There's a garage and beach items to use if you need them. We would stay here again! The communication was great, check in and out was so easy. They have a screen in the home to help with restaurants, recommendations and locations. It was a group of 6 girls and we all enjoyed the home. We used the firepit out front in the evenings because we traveled in Jan. Thank you!

The house is perfect for a bigger group. It’s a very short walk to Sara’s which makes an incredible California Burrito. The patio is perfect for everyone to sit around the fire pit and relax after a long day at the beach. The three bathrooms took a lot of stress out of everyone trying to get ready for the day at the same time.

This was a last minute booking and am so glad we chose this property. Other than right on the water, could not beat the location. Just feet away from bay and a few more steps the opposite way to the quieter side of mission beach. Cottage was on the small side but the layout and right size furniture made it seem much larger. We used the cozy outdoor space each night. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the neighborhood was and how convenient it was to have a small market and a park eateries within quick walking distance. We will definitely consider staying at this property again!

Our trip was only 2 nights to move our daughter back into school but this property was perfect for our needs. We love to stay in Mission Bay or beach for the walking paths and general vibe of the place. Having a two car full size garage was a great amenity not only because it’s tough to park in this area, but also to secure a carload of belongings the night before a move. Rooms and beds were very comfortable and AC is a plus not often found in this neighborhood. Love the yard and fire pit as well. Will definitely come back!

Our stay was during July 2022 for SD Comic-con week (eight adults and one toddler). The house is smallish but met our needs okay, since we were primarily coming and going a lot. The two-garage is a great perk, considering how difficult parking can be at the beach (especially in the summertime). Alley is a bit narrow, but we managed to maneuver in a Ford Explorer. House was clean and well equipped, including the kitchen, though we ate most of our meals out. The extra half-bath in the back hallway proved important for the size of our party, as was the nice outdoor shower on the side of the house. Front patio/courtyard area was cozier than it looked in the pics but had a fair amount of seating for outdoor entertaining. The beach house is just a short walk to both the bay side and the beach side, and you only have to cross one street (to the beach) and an alley to the bay. The washer and dryer in the garage worked well for us, as did the dishwasher in the kitchen. We appreciated all the beach paraphernalia in the garage so we didn't have to haul stuff from home - especially the chairs, umbrella and wagon. Aaron was remarkably responsive as a host - super helpful and fast with communicating. We would stay here again, though probably not with our whole fam (three adult children with their significant others as well as the first of our grandchildren).

The house and the location is amazing and such a great spot in the city. Close enough to walk everywhere and not have to do any driving if you’re not up to it. You’ll find coffee places, bars, tons of restaurants, the beach of course, the boardwalk and tons of shopping. This is a prime spot and great for families, too. Plenty to do, eat, drink and have fun. Aaron is professional and the house was clean and had everything that was needed. He also returned an iPad we left behind in the house within a couple days which was so appreciated and saved me a 4-hour round trip to go pick it up. We were able to fit our Toyota Highlander in the garage which is rare for that area to have such a big garage and not have to circle round and round for parking. Beds were comfortable and everyone was happy having their own TV in each room. All good size TV’s, no squinting needed. Nice cozy porch to relax and enjoy with the family. Great house overall! Would love to return!

The location is quite close to both the beach and the pier! The two parking spaces were very useful as San Diego is definitely best explored with a car. The kitchen is well equipped, and three toilets + an outdoor shower made it so that seven adults never needed to wait to use the restroom. Although the place is smaller than the pictures look- the appliances were top notch and beds comfortable. The outdoor grill and fire pit were fun additions. I would stay here again.

Expect nothing, but awesome here! We stayed for 31 days (husband working remotely) and wish we could have stayed another month. 3bed/2.5 bath with outdoor shower was perfect for our family with two small children (2 yo, 14 mo old). I blocked off the living space from the kitchen to keep my crawling/cruising little one out and it turned into a play space for the kiddos. Lots of clean towels (beach towels included), extra blankets, and beach paraphernalia. The front patio was a great, safe space for the kids to chalk it up and an updated large playground across from Belmont Park is in walking distance. Literally 40 steps to the bay from the front gate. Great place for kids as it’s way more calm and less people. When we arrived, we asked for more kitchen towels and hangers. Aaron bought some the next day and dropped them off right away. Great communication and quick to respond. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Great house and location! The house has ample beds (3 bedrooms, 6 beds - stayed with a couple friends and it was MORE than enough space) and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s a couple blocks from two amazing beaches and lots of places to eat and enjoy in the area. I am so happy we found this place and it was available for the dates I wanted. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego and will definitely stay here again next time I visit San Diego.

Great location and accommodations. We were traveling with all ages from 7 to 60 on this family trip. Awesome porch for the littles to wind down and have a snack and close enough for grandma and teenagers to walk to the beach or bay.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway. We had the Bay on one side, and we got to watch the fireworks from Sea World every night. Just a few blocks in the other direction was the beach, there is a ton of food within walking distance, and Belmont Park is right down the street. The house was extremely clean and in a very quiet little neighborhood, we spent a lot of time hanging out on the patio. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Aaron's place was the perfect home for our work staycation in SD! The 2 additional portable desks were super handy, and the place had the most amenities I had ever seen in an Airbnb. We loved how we were just a few minutes walk to the beach and could go catch the sunset every evening. And the easy-to-start fireplace on the patio made for some fun dinners outdoors. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to change up their WFH environment!

This place is perfect for families. We really appreciated having a garage that fits a full size suv so we didn’t have to worry about street parking. It’s so close to the beach and restaurants that we were able to walk a lot of places. The house had a lot of extra towels and blankets, which is nice with young kids. The kitchen is well appointed with plates, cups, utensils, cooking basics, we even found skewers for s’mores! This place was bigger than I was expecting and there was plenty of space for us to spread out for nap time. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic house! We had 4 adults and 3 toddlers. This could have easily been a stressful trip if anyone knows traveling with toddlers, but this place worked so well for us. Steps to the bay and to the beach. Fully stocked kitchen with plastic plates and cups. Great beach gear in the garage, two spots that fit our mid size SUVs nicely. Super comfortable beds, bunk beds, upgraded and clean kitchen and bathrooms, washer/dryer, dishwasher. Rare find for SD are the garbage disposal/ dishwasher/ and AC. Awesome appliances, we loved the stove and grill. A very inviting and relaxing front patio in a quiet neighborhood. It was perfect! Would love to stay here again!

Awesome rental. We stayed with another family, 4 kiddos ranging from age 3-5, they loved playing on the patio while we cooked meals in the very well stocked kitchen or convenient gas grill outside. We loved our daily trips to the bay or the beach, both short and easy walks. Such a great spot to unwind during a pandemic, or any other time! This was probably one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed at. We had four adults and three babies and there was plenty of room. The patio was amazing and the proximity to the beach and restaurants/the rest of San Diego was perfect. Aaron found us two extra pack n plays for the kiddos so we didn’t even have to pack any. Check in/out was super easy and clear. We’ll stay here again for SURE!

This was a great little place to vacation during the pandemic. It’s a stand alone house and we really did not see many people the entire time we were here. The proximity to the bay was great for little kids who like to play in the sand and calm water.

This house is a great place to stay for a group of friends or family! The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and in a great location, and our host was very responsive. 819 Dover was a perfect getaway retreat for our family. We came out at the very end of May, just before the sand opened on the beach. So, while we HAD to be moving or in the water at all times, we were so happy to be on vacation during the COVID. We were minutes from the beach and seconds from the bay. My daughters scootered and skateboarded throughout the area. The front patio with deck and fire pit were lovely to enjoy during breakfast and after dinner at night. Inside the house was a home away from home. Everything that you'd need in the kitchen was provided. All we did was stock the fridge (Vons and Trader Joes were easy to shop at in Liberty Station). The bedrooms were cool and comfortable. A/C and ceiling fans worked great, but letting the San Diego breeze come through the windows was perfect most of the time. The bathrooms were fantastic and I should mention the outdoor shower was a plus for getting rid of the sand at the end of our days. The bath towels and beach towels were perfect too. The rental also provides the little things you need for the beach/bay -- chairs, sand toys, umbrella, etc. We enjoyed the pizza place around the corner and the grilled cheese spot at Belmont Park was excellent. Also, the grocery store around the corner is a huge bonus. I should also mention that the home was immaculate upon arrival. We would definitely come back to this rental. So easy.

Our family needed a short getaway to recharge from the COVID lockdown. We had our trepidation about how clean and safe the place would be and when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. Aaron’s place fit the bill to a tee. As adorable as advertised. Clean. All the amenities were there. We cooked every night and every item needed to prepare the feasts were there. The cottage is small but 8 adults fit comfortably and we truly had plenty of room. I was shocked. Everything is truly within walking distance and easy to navigate. We would love to stay when the pandemic is over but my guess is it will be too expensive when that happens. Nevertheless, we’ll do this all over again. Thank you Aaron. Nicely done!

Aaron’s place was perfect for our family trip to San Diego. The beach is a short walk away and we had a great time using the beach items Aaron provides. The room with the bunk beds is very kid friendly. It had books and a train set that the kids really enjoyed. Parking around the area can be challenging so having a dedicated parking space was wonderful! The garage is large and we fit our Ford Expedition with no problems. Aaron and his staff were friendly and welcoming. We look forward to coming back!

The Dover Court Bungalow was the perfect match for our San Diego beach weekend getaway. It was immaculate, comfortable, and convenient for enjoying the ocean and bay. This home is so wonderful! closer to the beach than we thought. Don't let the small size fool you, it is very comfortable with plenty of seating space, with lots of storage space for your clothing and luggage and very comfortable bedding. The home is very nicely appointed. The 8 of us were very comfortable and had a great time exploring the bay and San Diego. Super convenient to everything. This is a fantastic location! You are about two home lengths between the bay and a walk across the street to Mission Beach. Not only are you close to the beach, but if you need to get out to the grocery store, dinners, etc. it is in a great proximity to many great resturaunts - old town was only a 10 min drive. I'll never book a hotel again, this was amazing for my family and we appreciate the amazing hospitality by Aaron!

Just Wow! Everything about this place was incredible. The home is well stocked with everything you need for a perfect vacation including bikes and beach gear. It’s clean, fresh and decorated beautifully. The kitchen had everything big you’d need and they thought of every last detail including a step stool for the bathroom for my toddler to wash her hands in the sink. They really went above and beyond to make your stay easy and comfortable. I will be vacationing here again with my family. This beach bungalow was the perfect option for our stay in San Diego! Awesome location - no more than a 15-20 minute drive to get anywhere in the city (Petco Park, Zoo, USS Midway, Little Italy, Gaslamp, La Jolla, etc). And you definitely can’t beat the walking distance to both the beach and bay, as well as Belmont Park! Vacation Rentals by Aaron were always quick to respond and helped make our stay even more enjoyable! Definitely recommend staying here when visiting San Diego!
