Relaxing Beach Cottage Retreat

Nuestra estadía en casa de Aaron fue muy buena! Disfrutamos mucho de la ubicación cerca de la playa. Estacionar fue más facil de lo que pensábamos, solo uno o dos días tardamos 15 minutos en encontrar lugar. La comunicación estuvo muy bien. Aaron nos respondió siempre al momento que le escribimos. Viajamos con un bebe de 18 meses y lo recomendaríamos sin dudas!!

4 stars because I know what actually bad accommodations look like and it was a decently priced/clean place to crash in mission beach. Though would’ve been incredibly disappointed if I booked it for a vacation, let alone a family vacation. It’s a 400 square foot shack by the beach with nice finishings inside. You will never be able to park 9 months out of the year and it will be a pain the other 3. 2 people max, more would be awful. Walls are thin, you’ll hear snoring and other ‘shenanigans’ above you. WiFi is great, tv’s suck, nowhere to work unless you get an extension cord to go to the counter or are young enough to work from a couch. No closet (taken with cleaning supplies) and no dresser.

You're right – this is a cozy 400 sq ft space best for 1-2 guests, not a family vacation. A fine stay in a good location. \n\nThe apartment was very clean upon arrival and check in was relatively easy. The unit is managed through a portal that offers services for a fee—including early check-in/late check-out. We arrived about 20 minutes before the 3pm check-in time and had to pay a fee to get the code for the door as it was raining quite hard. The weather during our stay around the New Year was atypically cool and wet and the mini-split hvac unit did not work properly. \n\nThe kitchen was equipped with some basics, the bed was comfortable but the couches were well-used. You can hear every step of the upstairs neighbors and it did wake us during our stay. \n\nParking was a bit annoying, but a well-known factor. We had decent luck 5 or 6 blocks south of the property on Mission Blvd.

It’s nice place and it’s neat. Definitely coming back with my boyfriend ♥️ it’s nice little gateway. I just wish they give complimentary for free early check in especially coming from other state. This my first time paying extra for just early check in Airbnb.

Mission Beach er et dejligt område, der er mange gode spisesteder og indkøbsmuligheder. Boligen var rigtig hyggelig, lå godt og roligt placeret. Terrassen foran huset byder både på sol og skygge. Perfekt til både morgenmad og aftensmad, samt en kop kaffe eller et glas vin. Der var stille og roligt omkring huset, hvis vi ønskede fest og shopping, behøvede vi blot at gå i 5 min. Generelt et rigtig dejligt sted.

We had a wonderful stay! Very comfortable especially the bed. And clean! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of room to operate. The only thing that was a little difficult was the parking but there is a park near by that allows overnight parking, so much better than street parking and the short maybe 1 block walk was delightful. It was a little difficult finding the place but the pre- check in instructions were very informative and took us right to the place. If you read them ahead of time, I did not, so I was not prepared. The host was so responsive and answered all my questions promptly through out the whole stay. The place was cozy and wonderful but the hosts responsiveness definitely made our stay even better. Thank you Aaron for being an amazing host!!

We had a great stay. the location was close to the beach and walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and things to do. parking was a bit of a struggle with the street parking and the restrictions on parking overnight due to the street sweeper. other then that it was great.

Lovely vacation home very close to the beach and bars/restaurants. Good ammenities and very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and the lounge room was a great bonus. RECONSIDER IF YOU HAVE A CAR. In the listing it states there is “free street parking”, what isn’t clear is that parking is a luxury in Mission Beach. It took us almost an hour to find parking and we changed our plans so we didn’t have to move our car. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding accomodation with ONSITE parking to make your holiday less stressful.

Beautiful place for a beach getaway for 2. Had everything we needed and our host was very responsive. Comfortable bed, blankets and 2 couches! Nice porch to relax and wash the sand off. Really enjoyed my stay. The place was perfect for a week, long getaway. The community itself is really cute and quaint. the neighbors including the upstairs renters were all quiet and respectful of the shared space. Location was incredible, to one side is the bay, to the other is the ocean. Everywhere is walkable, Including restaurants and a corner grocery market. The actual cottage was clean, and has everything you’d need. Beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards. Aaron was super cool, and answered any question I had within minutes. I would 1000 percent stay here or any of his rentals again :)

My daughter and I stayed her for two nights during a visit to SoCal for college tours. It was nice to get a break from hotels and be near the beach. The description is accurate and Aaron was very communicative. Easily walkable to restaurants, shops and coffee houses and not too hard to find street parking, even during peak season. You can hear the tenants in the upstairs unit walking around, but it wasn't too disruptive or late at night. Despite being very close to other houses, there were no issues with noise. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

We had a great stay here! You can’t beat the location - steps to the Bay and minutes to the beach. Definitely a small space but it worked for our family. The parking situation isn’t ideal but Aaron gave very specific instructions on how to manage this. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a clean, small space in a nice location.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen Strandhaus. Die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar – nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt und in unmittelbarer Nähe von Mission Beach und Pacific Beach. Die Wohnung selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man für einen komfortablen Urlaub braucht. Die Anbindung an die Innenstadt ist ebenfalls ideal. Mit dem Auto ist man in nur 20 Minuten im Zentrum. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir können dieses Strandhaus wärmstens empfehlen und würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen

We loved this place! Super nice Airbnb with a great location! Everything was there what we needed and the communication with Aaron was excellent! We didn’t have a problem with parking if you don’t mind to walk a few minutes! We heard the neighbors upstairs sometimes but for me as a quiet sleeper that was no problem at all as it has been before and after bed time! Would highlight recommend this Airbnb!

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in Mission Beach sehr genossen! Die Unterkunft war gut erreichbar, der Strand war nur 5 min zu Fuss von der Wohnung entfernt und dennoch liegt die Wohnung in einer ruhigeren Gasse. Auch wenn es keinen Parkplatz vor der Unterkunft hat, hatten wir keine Probleme in der Nähe immer etwas zu finden. Die Wohnung war sauber und so wie auf den Bildern, das einzige was man empfehlen könnte wäre, etwas mehr Stauraum für die Kleider & mehr Kleiderbügel. Zudem waren die Nachbarn oben sehr sehr gut zu hören. Bei Fragen war Aaron immer sehr gut errreichbar, was super war. Wir würden wieder hier unsere Ferien verbringen! :) Danke für die tolle Zeit.

Great location, clean, well maintained and fully stocked up place! Aaron’s responsiveness is 10/10. The place looks better in real life than on the pictures. It had fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, toys, even sunscreen! I would never think that I will need it in February, but I was wrong. The alley where the house is located is super cute. I sm glad the place wasn’t close to the road/traffic noise. But, the road is 1 min away. The beach is super close. Lots of restaurants around. I definitely recommend the place!

Perfect little bungalow space for two people. We did a lot of walking around and sight-seeing so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room but it was perfect for late night TV watching when we got back from our long days! Coffee and creamer was so nice to have and not have to buy daily. The only thing I didn’t realize was that the bathroom did not have a fan- not a huge deal we just opened the window but just something I wasn’t used to. Would definitely recommend!

The unit was just as pictured -- lovely and liveable. Spacious and fully equipped; the owner thought of everything you'd need (even supplied coffee). Bed was very comfortable and shower worked great. Nice patio out front; I liked having my own entrance. The perfect location -- beach on one side, bay on the other. The only negative was noise from the upstairs unit at night; some guys moved in mid-week and you could hear every step they took. Apart from that, the unit was perfect!

Location is fantastic, close to ocean and bay! Nicely decorated,older property. Very well appointed, but not luxurious. Since we used bikes, the lack of parking wasn’t an issue. Maybe add a set of bikes as compensation for the parking situation 😀. We enjoyed our stay and would come back to this property, because the location can’t be beat 🌞.

This beach bungalow is a beach lovers paradise. 65 steps to Mission Bay and two blocks from the Pacific Ocean. We loved the quality beach chairs and umbrellas that came with the well equipped bungalow. Great food, coffee shops and shopping are all within walking distance. We will be back.

Excellent accommodations! The location is great and very close to shopping and restaurants. Parking is a challenge but we always found a spot. Our host did give a heads up regarding parking and he did provide suggestions. We definitely would stay here again!

The hosts have a laundry room full of beach supplies you can borrow! I love how walkable it is, I used my car one time in 5 days. There are shops and unique restaurants everywhere and we really enjoyed exploring the area.

Spent the weekend here with my girlfriend. Location was great. Steps from the beach and a short walk from bars and restaurants. Far enough off the main road where it was nice and quiet at night. Loved the AC! My main criticisms are parking and noise from the upstairs neighbors. Parking was definitely a challenge for us to find and we ended up having to park close to a mile away in pacific beach. On the neighbors, we were in the bottom unit and the ceiling seemed pretty thin. I woke up to them walking around the house at 6am getting ready for work. Overall, great weekend rental but may not be the best option for a longer term stay mainly due to noise from upstairs.

Loved our apartment! It was perfect for my husband and me! Tastefully decorated, with modern amenities! We had everything we needed! We were so close to the bay, and we walked and rode our rental bikes daily! Parking is tough, so a small car is important. Would definitely stay at Aaron's rental again! Highly recommend!

This place was exactly what we expected it to be from the listing on VRBO. It was clean, nicely decorated, and convenient. We loved being so close to the ocean. The Mission Beach neighborhood has a funky beach town vibe that we enjoyed. The property manager communicated with us and provided essential information. We were also able to check in a little early with no fuss.

After spending over 25 Christmas vacations in Pacific or Mission Beach rental condos or houses, this unit is one of the best overall. Plenty of room and convenient to shops and free parking. The gas stove and air conditioning are a plus for this south exposure condo. Will definitely stay again in the future.

This property is in a great location between the bay and the ocean on a sweet little street. The area was very quiet for sleeping but still super close to the main street for food and entertainment. It has a really well stocked kitchen with newer appliances and nice pots, pans, dishes etc., enough for 4 people. The bathroom was lovely too. Our only complaint was that it was advertised as having 2 beds with one being a sofa bed which is why we rented it. The sofa bed was broken and wouldn't unfold which left us having to alternate an adult sleeping on the sofa with a broken mattress underneath at an odd angle or on an air mattress for 5 nights. If we had been there only a couple of nights we wouldn't have minded but 5 nights was too many not to have a decent second bed. I would have appreciated a discount since the bed wasn't fixable during our stay but instead the manager just reminded me there was an air mattress. We wouldn't stay here again without a real second bed option but otherwise the house was great. It would be perfect for a couple or if folks had kids who don't mind an air mattress.

Cant go wrong with this place. So glad we picked it. The locations is absolutely perfect, the front patio is very nice for sitting out. Quiet snd peaceful and the place is nice, clean, comfortable. Aaron is so nice to work wuth and extremely responsive. Thanks for a great stay

Directions to VRBO was acutely described. Very very clean and organized. Perfect location. We walked around a lot. Took a Uber as needed because parking is limited. Host told us this before we came from Minnesota. The cottage was comfortable. Plenty of towels. The coffee was good. We enjoyed our time in the area.

This was everything we needed and then some. The listing is as it shows online and the location could not be more ideal. Steps away from the bay and the ocean and walking distance to everything you want to enjoy in mission beach. We had a great time and Aaron was a great host, easy to communicate with and very accommodating!

Selected this place to be near family who rented a house one street over. Was a great space for exploring San Diego and seeing family & friends. Great location between the bay and beach. Love the courtyard in concept and practice and had pleasant interactions with several neighbors in the short time we were there. Was staying midweek so parking on the street was not bad. The unit was clean and well stocked. My 4yo is not a big fan of showers and there was no tub. But there was plenty of room in the shower for her to play with some toys while getting washed off so managed to get her clean enough for vacation!

Everything was exactly as expected based on the listing and reviews. My husband and I had a quiet, quaint and enjoyable babymoon staying here. House was clean and very close to the beach and bay and several walkable restaurants! Will definitely come back.

This is a perfect place to stay to just completely get away. Everything I needed to enjoy the beach was here. Best part though- coffee included. I was able to walk to whale watching tour, Kroger’s and any kind of restaurant I wanted food from. Absolutely would stay here again!

Love this place, it's my go-to place when visiting my son. So comfortable inside, decor is light & airy and of course when you step outside you can see the beautiful bay. The patio outside is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee. Staying in Mission Beach is the best if you want easy access to the beach. Location, location, location...this place has it!

We had a weekend get away in San Diego. The location was great, in between the ocean and bay. the condo was a perfect size for a couple retreat. The only down side is parking was very limited. Mission Blvd is really close, but we had to park 5 blocks away.I will visit it again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was absolutely perfect, with both the beach and the bay within a short walking distance. Same for restaurants and other things to do. We loved our little place although the online photos made it look roomier. But it was only the two of us here so that was fine. The outdoor patio was wonderful and I spent relaxing time out there getting some sun and reading. The inside was very clean, modern and comfortable. We had an issue with the heating unit the first night, but after that was resolved we had no other problems. The host was very responsive to us which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend this to others.

Staying in Mission Beach is the best. You can walk to the bay, the beach and to shops & restaurants. This house was wonderful, clean, comfortable and so cute. I would stay there again.

When walking in the condo...the cleaner was leaving...talk about detail clean...amazing...that made us feel even more welcome...cozy home with an amazing well appointed kitchen...decor is chill and relaxing...bed was so comfy...patio and bbq outside allowed us to host a longtime friend...and the location...steps from the bay...a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay in this property. It was clean, neat, and efficiently supplied. The area was quiet. A Ralph’s grocery store is a one mile walk away. Also, there are many restaurants and stores in the area. Walking and bike rental is the easiest way to move around Mission / Pacific beach.

My husband and I stayed at this property for five days and loved the convenience to both the beach and the bay, the flat walkway that goes around the entire bay and beach area, the quiete neighborhood and the easy access to Pacific Beach and San Diego. The property was very clean. The host was super responsive. We discovered that the coffee carafe was broken when we arrrived, contacted the owner and had a full machine replacement on our doorstop hours later. Thank you for a great stay!

This place was perfect for our little family. It was clean, comfortable, and has a great location. Close to the bay and a very short distance to the beach. It is also close to some good restaurants, coffee shops, and Mission Bay Sportcenter. We had a couple of questions about our place and they were prompt to answer. Excellent all the way around. We loved staying at this property. It was perfect for 2 people who wanted a nice place to come home to after a day of exploring. The only word of caution is there is a unit above this one so you may overlap with some heavy steppers. We didn't mind most of the time. We used the kitchen and appreciated that it was stocked with cooking essentials and dishware. We also loved having beach accessories to use! Would recommend this spot for anyone looking to be close to the beach or bay in San Diego.

We absolutely loved this condo. We did have a slight issue with the listing as it said there was a couch pullout, however, when we pulled it out, it was broken. We were initially going to bring our nephew making it two kids and two adults, but our nephew couldn’t come last minute. Thank goodness that happened because while there was a blow up mattress, there just wouldn’t have been room for a blowup mattress to be kept out with the furniture and for him to comfortably sleep. It’s perfect for two and if a 3rd is comfortable on the couch, you will love this condo. It’s perfect location for everything you would want to do, biking location for activities a little farther away, an a/c unit and lots of supplies for going to the beach. No need to pack chairs, umbrellas, sand toys or boogie boards as those are all available. The host was super quick to respond and we will stay there again. Hopefully the sofa bed is available next time as it would have been a little bit more comfortable for the kiddo. Thank you for providing this awesome space for our family!
