My husband and I loved this place! The location is perfect, bay on one side, ocean on the other. Lots of coffee, breakfast, food places accommodating lots of different tastes and price ranges, all pretty unique! Walk to aquatic center to rent kayaks, etc. Plenty of beach stuff available. The house itself has great decor, lovely kitchen, sitting area and bedroom and bath. We didn't use the outdoor space but there was plenty and lots of seating too! Highly recommend.

Aaron’s place was beautiful, clean & the perfect location! The pictures matched what the place actually looked like, too! The front patio was so nice to have. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because when we visited, San Diego was experiencing extremely higher temps & humidity than usual & the small split unit & tiny fan Aaron has in the home just wasn’t cutting it, it was very miserable in there. I asked if there was any chance we could get an extra fan brought to us & I was just told to use the split unit & fan already there, so I had to go purchase a fan to help during our stay — if we didn’t have that, it wouldn’t have been manageable. He also told me to leave the fan but didn’t offer any type of reimbursement. The garbage disposal was also broken (no ones fault!) but the repair took several hours and we weren’t updated on any of the situation, which was a little frustrating. However, the place was very nice and despite the fan and the disposal, we really enjoyed our stay!

Hi, Haley! Glad you loved the location and aesthetic. As you mentioned, you visited during a weekend where we had uncommonly hot, record-high temperatures. Typically, a mini split and fan are more than enough to cool the entire unit. I apologize for someone not offering to reimburse you for the fan; you didn't explicitly ask for a reimbursement, you asked what you should do with the fan, so I think that's where the confusion came in. As far as the garbage disposal, fixing it in the same day (a few hours time) is actually pretty quick, if you consider we have to coordinate with a handyman on a weekend! Anyway, hope we have an opportunity to host you again on a not-so-hot weekend and earn 5 stars! -VRBA

We loved this place! Super nice Airbnb with a great location! Everything was there what we needed and the communication with Aaron was excellent! We didn’t have a problem with parking if you don’t mind to walk a few minutes! We heard the neighbors upstairs sometimes but for me as a quiet sleeper that was no problem at all as it has been before and after bed time! Would highlight recommend this Airbnb!

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in Mission Beach sehr genossen! Die Unterkunft war gut erreichbar, der Strand war nur 5 min zu Fuss von der Wohnung entfernt und dennoch liegt die Wohnung in einer ruhigeren Gasse. Auch wenn es keinen Parkplatz vor der Unterkunft hat, hatten wir keine Probleme in der Nähe immer etwas zu finden. Die Wohnung war sauber und so wie auf den Bildern, das einzige was man empfehlen könnte wäre, etwas mehr Stauraum für die Kleider & mehr Kleiderbügel. Zudem waren die Nachbarn oben sehr sehr gut zu hören. Bei Fragen war Aaron immer sehr gut errreichbar, was super war. Wir würden wieder hier unsere Ferien verbringen! :) Danke für die tolle Zeit.

Jason, while I can appreciate your frustration, we are very clear and detailed in the listing as to the lack of parking (and, of course, this unit is much cheaper than a beach unit with a parking space, which is rewarding for many of our guests). Street parking can be difficult (but not impossible) and we send some very clear options for those that choose to have a car. Most of our guests forgo a car to take advantage of just being at the beach and using rideshare as needed. We agree that the location cannot be beat! Vacation Rentals by Aaron

Aaron’s place was awesome. Very clean, perfect location, exactly like photos. A day before our arrival, we got a text with a link that we could order our groceries and have them delievered for when we arrived which was amazing. I’ve been using Airbnb for 7 years and this was the first time a listing had ever offered that. No designated parking like the description stated and finding it in the Ally/blvd was difficult but honestly, everything you need is within walking distance and you don’t go to the beach to drive so it’s definitely doable. We actually found parking off the Ally at the aquatic center. It allowed passenger parking and our car was perfectly safe and unharmed there over our 3 night stay. It’s about a 5 min walk from the lot to the Airbnb door. Would 100% stay at this listing again. Thanks for having us Aaron!

Aaron’s place was exactly as listed and honestly, even better than what I expected. To my left was 10 steps to the bay and to my right was a 4 minute walk to the beach. The place is greatly located - close to restaurants and coffee shops. It’s a quiet and safe area but lively once you walk out of your section. The only downside (not Aaron’s fault) but the tenants upstairs could be a little noisy as they walked in their homes but it wasn’t anything too serious or loud and Aaron took care of it once my concern was expressed. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

We loved everything about this place staying here! The location with great restaurants nearby as well as being so close to the beach was fantastic. The house itself was also very clean and nice and was perfect for our needs. The only minor complaint about everything was that the bed and pillows both felt very stiff. I know this may be more of a personal preference of what both of us are used to but it did affect our sleep and we couldn't sleep very well due to the firmness/stiffness of the bed and pillows. And this is coming from both of us who are currently travel medical professionals who live in different places and sleep on different beds/pillows all the time. Overall a fantastic experience that would have been above and beyond if just the pillows were nicer/more comfortable to sleep with. Thanks Aaron!

My wife and I loved our stay at this Airbnb. It is very close to Mission Beach. We rented bikes from Cheap Rentals down the road and biked everyday on the boardwalk. The house was cozy and it felt right at home even with the difference in time zone we were used to. The house is close to great restaurants and the lovely ocean. The bed was comfortable and my wife is picky, but no complaints with the bed. We are going to stay here again next time we are in SD!

Aaron was a very responsive host and the rental was identical to the description. I would definitely stay here again! Please note, as the listing says there is no assigned parking spot for this unit. We had to find parking which can be a little difficult in SD, but once my car was parked, I did not move it until we left. This was totally fine since I have travelled to SD multiple times and I was prepared to look for a parking spot. The location of the condo (for me) was completely worth the minor challenge to find parking. Aaron also explains the different parking options nearby! Overall a wonderful, clean and safe place to stay. Thank you Aaron!

This place was in a perfect location off mission blvd. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach and less than a minute walk to the bay. The condo was a good size for 2 people and having the beach supplies was great. Any questions I had for the host were answered within the hour. We had a great time in mission beach and would love to go back and stay here. I would definitely recommend this rental!

Exactly as advertised! A 2 minute walk to Mission Beach and maybe a 15 minute walk to Pacific Beach. The immediate surroundings were quiet and peaceful. We were there in the middle of a heat wave and it did take some time for the AC to cool the place down, but once it did it stayed cool. Our host was very informative regarding the check-in and check-out process and responded almost immediately to any messages. As other reviews mentioned, the mattress is very firm. Some people like this and others don't. I prefer very soft mattresses, but this one was comfortable as far as firm mattresses go. I would definitely recommend and would consider staying there again next time I am in San Diego.

Overall, I loved my stay!! The apartment was well equipped and had everything we needed. The location was awesome and we even enjoyed the butterflies that fly around the neighborhood. My son couldn’t stop staring at them ?. The inside and out of this apartment was very pretty! I will definitely stay here again! I’m very happy with my stay and created amazing memories. I loved every second of my stay in this home. It was just steps to the bay and the beach. There were so many great restaurants .6-.9mi walking distance from the home. The patio was so great to hang out on also. The laundry room was great to have, and it was filled with beach chairs and beach toys. I would definitely return!

Aarons place in mission bay is amazing, the perfect size for 2-4 people and it had everything I needed. Aaron responded quickly and was a Gracious host throughout the entire experience. Parking is a little tough there on weekends but it’s not too difficult to manage. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

This place was so perfect for me and my husband to spend our baby moon! Great location to the beach and walking distance to breakfast spots and taco places. Just a short Lyft or Uber ride into the city was very convenient. Our host Aaron was helpful in recommending food places and was very reasonable when we had to check in early and check out late. The only one downside was that the bed was quite uncomfortable for us. The bed was way too firm for our liking so sleep wasn’t great for us unfortunately.

One of the best air bnb’s I have stayed at in San Diego! Super clean with everything you need to stay for a few days. So affordable for an amazing location! Great place, great location and great communication by Aaron. Parking is difficult, but once you figure that out there is no need to leave. Cheap rental bikes a block away allows you to rent bikes for 24 hours which allowed us more than enough time to get around. We had a great time.

this is an excellent choice for reasons related to location, cleanliness, and amenities (loved the usb ports available in the kitchen and the bedroom!). just be aware this is a lower unit...so you may hear folks moving about in the upper unit. this is not a deal-breaker at all! i would definitely book it again.

We had a lovely stay at this charming condo. The space was smaller than anticipated, but just enough space for two or three people. The condo was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. Location is ideal, just steps from both the bay and beach on either side. Would highly recommend.

The only downside is that they didn't come with mask at first and did not give us notice about when exactly they would come and fix stuff, which is annoying when you're working from home and are on calls.

Thank you for your review! We apologize for for the miscommunication when one of our employees entered your unit. We did notify you that we would be coming by to take a photo of the dishwasher that you had reached out about, and my associate knocked and when no one answered, she assumed the unit was vacant (hence why her mask was not on). Great spot to stay! The check-in instructions confused me a little, but that could have been my fault as it was late and I was tired from driving. Cute little place with everything you need, and even a nice front deck area directly outside the unit. SO close to the beach, it's unbelievable. Couple of houses to the bay, and a block to the beach. Tons of bars and shops on Mission Blvd which is right off the court walk from the house. Laundry is included, lots of pots/pans/cups/utensils in the kitchen with plenty of space to cook and eat. Beach chairs, etc were a bonus. Lots of people around and the area is fun and friendly. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Aaron.

Aaron’s place was exactly what we were hoping for. Great location and clean! It was awesome to be able to use the beach equipment, it was organized and easy to access. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio, as well as the quick walks to the beach/restaurants. The only thing that was missing was the complimentary wine, but that wasn’t a big deal. Highly recommend!

Our stay here was wonderful! The apartment was super clean and done well especially during this time of Covid. This is perfectly located to the beach/bay and convenient to local places to eat. I highly recommend this stay if you are looking for the perfect beach vacation!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Aaron’s place. It was very easy to check in, the place was spotless and he had everything available that we could possibly use. It is in an ideal location between the bay and the ocean and there was plenty to do within walking distance. Parking was a little tricky but once we found a spot we were set for the days we were there. Thank you again for a wonderful experience and we look forward to staying there again.

I stayed in Aaron’s place for two weeks and it felt like home! Great location smack dab in between Mission Bay and Mission Beach. Street was safe and quiet and the neighbors were nice. Aaron was quick to respond and was very accommodating.

This is truly a lovely property! Nicely furnished with many amenities. The condo is located on a quiet sidewalk with easy access to the beach, restaurants, a few small convenience stores and a grocery store about a mile away. Aaron was communicative, and on top of everything. Check in was easy too! I liked my 4-week stay so much that I extended an additional 2! Definitely recommend and will definitely return!

This is a terrific 1-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a 2-story house, with a sunny private patio in front. The unit is very quiet, clean and stylish, with nice furniture, kitchen, and bathroom. Washer, dryer, beach chairs, etc. are also available in the building.

This space was perfect for two of us, with everything we would need for the week we had planned. Upon arrival, we found it to be very clean and modern, with a great outdoor patio and bbq to enjoy the southern exposure on nice sunny days! It is in a great central location, close to restaurants, grocery stores, the ocean, the bay, and walking/cycling paths. We rented bikes one day from a great place within a two minute walk. Felt at home and safe in this great community! Would definitely stay again if our travels take us to San Diego again.

Stayed for the weekend and it ended up being much better than expected. Although it’s a very small unit, it’s still very close to the beach. I found it was easy to find the unit with the instructions provided. Check in was super easy, just as checking out is. I’d def consider staying here again! I recommend this for other couples looking for a getaway :)

This place was amazing, hands down!! Loved the location, close to all the shops and restaurants. Rented a paddle board from rays rentals and enjoyed our time at the bay. A/c was dripping in our condo, so Aaron’s team moved us upstairs to a new condo so they could fix it. They were great hosts, I would definitely book this place again! Loved it!!

Place is exactly as described. Very clean, convenient & in a great location! My family & I really enjoyed the beach but also being able to walk to the bay where it’s more calm. Place comes with lots of great beach toys and accessories! Anything you could need for a great beach day. The bed in the main room is a little firm but nice. The pullout bed got used one night but I do not recommend it, I used the air mattress found in the closet for the rest of our stay and got good rest. The kitchen is super cute & fully stocked! Great meals can be cooked & enjoyed here. The WiFi & TV was greatly appreciated at night! Had all the apps like Netflix, YouTube, HBO etc. Would book & stay here again!

Vivian, thank you for the complete and detailed review. So glad you found the air mattress to your liking. We always try to have a couple bedding alternatives for guests (we had a guest last month who raved about the bed (even asked the brand) and the pullout has also been positively referenced) since individual tastes vary so widely. This beach house is 30 steps to the bay and 500 steps to the pacific ocean. very nice lacation.;Smaller than what I expected it's good for a couple or with a little kid. It is equiped well and clean especially the kitchen. Towels are very clean. Only the toilet doesn't work well. I've stayed for 12days and the big headache is that laundry need coins . Every night I returned I had to go outside begging for coins. And the next morning I forgot going to bank for exchange again. ....

True to pictures, beautiful and clean place. Had coffee available which was a plus and near the bay/beach. Accommodating hosts. Gave 4 stars for noise from upstairs guests (into early morning -3am) and the bed was somewhat hard/uncomfortable but overall the place was a great value and we enjoyed our stay.
