I 100% recommend for all beach goers. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable providing a relaxed vibe for our group of 3 adults and 3 children. The amenities were on point for a stress free family beach experience. I would definitely stay again. And oh! SeaWorld is close by making it easy to take a day away from the beach.

Location was perfect distance to beach and many restaurants/shops. Clean and well maintained property. Woke up walked abbot to Newport to grab Coffee and walked the beach back Locals definitely have the OB vibe . The host and property do as well.

The home was perfect for our family of 6 (4 adults + 2 small children). The Ocean Beach location is fantastic with so much to do within walking distance. The host was very responsive and quick to get back to me. The floor plan of the house is a bit odd, but worked just fine for us. We would most definitely stay here again!

This place is awesome. Literally steps from the beach, a good sized parking spot that is easily accessible and a great kitchen and bathroom. We loved this place with our dogs only minutes to the dog beach. This would be a great place for a family to hang out and chill both inside and out.

We have two little ones, and this spot was perfect for a family getaway. No stress about parking or having to drive far for groceries, which made things so much easier. We loved being able to cook our own meals and just focus on enjoying the beach and family time. The kids had the best time, whether it was playing in the sand, exploring, or just running around. The place itself was super clean and had plenty of room for the little ones to play. I’d definitely recommend it for families or even people with dogs. Would 100% book with Aaron again, thanks so much!

We were 3 colleagues visiting San Diego for work. The location was great, within walking distance of several good restaurants and grocery stores. We had an issue with the electricity and then with the hot water, but the communication was incredibly quick and efficient, and these problems were resolved in no time. The beds were extremely comfortable with high-quality sheets and pillows. We really liked the place.

Aaron was a very responsive host. Home was extremely close to the beach ( 2 short blocks). There was one parking spot in back which was great because parking on the street was very full all the time. Kitchen had everything we needed. The location was so close to restaurants and many interesting shops and a great health food store nearby. It was nice that each of the 3 bedrooms had its own private door to go in and out of because all the bedrooms were right next to each other and you had to walk thru each room to get to the living room. This area of town is very busy with surfers and a lot of beach action. The home was clean and very bright and cheerful colors. I would stay here again.

Margaritaville was the perfect location for Ocean Beach and the sights we saw in San Diego. The outdoor courtyard made the whole trip! It is definitely a beach house; space is limited but very comfortable and the main bedroom is spacious! Just a couple things to note that we did not realize, this house is in the departure path of San Diego Airport. We heard planes taking off from before 6am to 11pm and they were loud. I was surprised no one else had remarked on that. Maybe they have different flight paths, but we heard the planes the whole weekend. The second thing is trivial, but there were no kitchen towels in the house. With washing dishes all weekend, it would have been great to have kitchen towels to dry them with, but we made do. Overall, a great place and we would stay there again if we return to Ocean Beach.

Elizabeth, glad you enjoyed the space. As for the noise, the entirety of OB is in the flight path (our central urban airport is great to come and go easily but the planes do take off over the ocean). However, the flight paths will vary greatly based on weather and most people find that they habituate to the sound quickly. I will check with my cleaners about leaving behind extra dish towels. Margarita was in a perfect location. Met the owners who were very accommodating. Beds were comfortable, right size friends first, family second. Nice front porch from which to watch daily comings and goings on Brighton Avenue. Close to main drag with shops and restaurants. Aaron, property manager, always got right back to me to answer my questions, sometimes helpfully sometimes not so much. Only criticism is no ice machine in frig and no dishwasher. Great place though.

It was really nice to stay so close to the beach! There were so many shops and restaurants within walking distance that we rarely ended up using our rental car! Aaron and his team were so helpful and responsive when we had a couple issues pop up during our stay! Me and 5 of my friends stayed for a week at this adorable beach house. We spent the weekend crafting and going to local hangouts. There was always plenty of room for all of us.

Love this location! You are a 2 minute walk to the beach. Abbotts market is a 1 minute walk and all the restaurants and shops on Newport are a 10 minute walk. We usually stay closer to the pier but we booked on Brighton and I’m so glad we did. It’s a quieter more family friendly area. The house has a parking space you can’t beat that! Really appreciate the little touches like beach gear and beach toys. Water pressure is great for the showers and the outdoor shower has hot water which was really nice after taking a dip in that cold ocean water. Honestly I would highly recommend this cottage for families or a small group. The only complaint I have is I wish the floors under the beds and couch area had been a bit cleaner. But to give the benefit of the doubt this is pet friendly cottage and we may have come at an odd time because all the previous reviews had stated how sparkling clean the cottage was for them.

Belle petite maison, très propre mais drôlement divisée. Quelques petites rénovations seraient nécessaires pour en faire un endroit parfait. Le stationnement réservé derrière est un gros atout. My family (7 adults) had a very comfortable stay at Margaritaville! The kitchen was well equipped with all the dishes, pots, & pans we needed. The BBQ grill was nice to have...we enjoyed dinner outdoors. The front patio was perfect for our family and pups to hang out too. The beach was so close you could smell, hear, & see it from the front door. The beds were comfy. We were able to walk to most places, including so many coffee shop options, restaurants & shopping. Parking for 2 vehicles was great but also had no issues parking a 3rd vehicle on the street (just be careful on Wednesday- no parking 7a-10a). Ocean Beach and Dog Beach are next to each other which was great for those of our group that didn't have dogs and perfect for the two of us who brought our pups along. The pier is closed right now for repairs but didn't stop us from enjoying the beaches and shopping. I was able to wash a load of laundry in the washer/dryer on the patio. The rooms are connected but easy enough to navigate with multiple access points. Water stayed nice and warm for all of us & there was plenty of towels (no beach towels). They had beach gear available for us to use...it was great having beach chairs! We took a few short drives to catch some other views, it was great to have a comfy spot to come back to. We opened the windows and it cooled the house down fast! It is a little older but was very clean. We called once to get help with the ac hose and they were prompt & professional.

Our family, 5 of us ages 28-90, and one dog enjoyed our stay. The location is the best part. We were able to walk almost everywhere. I am giving the property 4.5 stars because I think a few upgrades, would make the property a 5 star. It is advertised as air conditioned. Two of the bedrooms have ac, but the living room does not. The living room was the hottest place in the house because of the afternoon sun. One of the AC units broke the first day we were there, even though they had a repair person there working on it as we arrived. It flooded the bedroon. They got someone out 2 days later to replace it. Mini splits would be a huge improvement. Also a little updating would not hurt. As much as we wanted to let the fresh air in, the curtains were cheap, and almost impossible to move, blocking the fresh air when we opened the windows. Some of the kitchen drawers were falling out, and there was peeling paint around the house. A dishwasher would be nice as well. We loved the front porch, and sat out there daily enjoying the ocean breeze. I would stay again, but would also seek out other properties in the same price range first.

Our family of 4 adults and one dog enjoyed our stay! The house was well equipped, clean, as advertised, and communication was easy. We would love to stay again. The master bedroom was spacious, the other 2 bedrooms were smaller. The beds were comfortable and we used the a/c units in the bedrooms and the living room fan. We walked to the dog beach, people beach and to wonderful restaurants and drove once to Cabrillo National Monument. The 2 bathrooms were appreciated and so were the ample towels. We brought our own beach towels. Having the outside shower was great. The tandem parking in the rear was greatly appreciated. Access to the house was communicated well and easy.

The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. Everything was organized and laid out for ease of use. Lots of extra towels, which was needed since the house was in only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The owner responded to any questions in a timely fashion and even accommodated for an additional day when asked. Would definitely vacation here again!

The home is super modern and clean, and there are so many things that they’ve left for the visitor. So that you don’t have to run out immediately and buy a bunch of stuff because it’s already here. We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we had a lot of our friends that live in the area stopped by and they just thought it was amazing and they are going to suggest it to people that visit as well.

This was the most welcoming, clean and well appointed vacation rental we have stayed in. Felt like walking into a model home with the furnishings, throw pillows, table settings etc. Nothing over the top or forced, it was just right. Perfect for dog owners wanting close proximity to dog beach and restaurants. Anyone looking for a classic beach bungalow getaway, this is a great spot. Perfect balance between old southern cal charm and modern appliances and open feel. 2nd and third bedroom access is a bit funky, but it is all manageable. Kudos to the staff who keeps it so clean and inviting. Also the host was quick to respond to all the questions I had. Neighborhood was actually pretty quiet for being on a beach access road.

Just what we needed. Walking distance to beach, town center, cliffs. I loved the patio with the table under gazebo. It was shaded and allowed us to have meals and conversations. There were lots of beach accessories—beach chairs and boards even though we didn’t use them. The house was clean and comfortable. The yard was so nicely secured with fencing. There was even a front yard to sit and relax. We would rent this place again!!

My family had an amazing stay over the Christmas holiday. We rented out both properties so that my husband and I and our reactive dog stayed in the smaller guest house and the rest of the family stayed in the main home on the same property. It was such a perfect situation where we never felt over cramped and everyone had the right amount of togetherness and privacy as needed. Dog beach is a minute walk away and it was wonderful to wake up early and take the dog to the beach to play in the ocean, especially because he has only ever known the deserts of the Southwest. Magical.We also couldn't stop talking about how all the kitchen appliances were well maintained and well appointed, which almost never happens with vacation rentals. Thank you so much for the perfect holiday setting! We will be back.

Clean, convenient, great location to beach. Kitchen had everything we needed, and with 5 of us, we were grateful to have the 2 bathrooms. We appreciated the beach towels and our kids loved the pull out bed- they said it was like a slumber party. We had a great trip! I didn’t realize that all of Ocean Beach is in the flight path of planes taking off from SD airport, so I was grateful for the white noise machine we brought with us.

The place was gorgeous and met all our needs—we absolutely loved everything that was provided at the house. And I mean everything! The host was super responsive and helpful anytime we had a question. We also loved the location—it was so close to the beach and tons of great eateries. We ended up spending most of our time just hanging out at the house and the beach because it had everything we needed. We definitely plan to stay here again!

This amazing rental was the perfect home base for our relaxing family getaway. Any expectations we had were blown out of the water and exceeded before we even arrived! Our host, Aaron, was professional, friendly, and quick to reply to any messages and/or questions through the app. He made sure to provide us with detailed information about our stay, from check-in and parking to a/c controls and wifi, making the whole process stress-free and easy. The property itself was spotless, beautifully decorated with a relaxing, modern coastal motif, and well stocked with everything we never knew we needed, from kitchen gadgets to make-up wipes and tin foil. It had plenty of room for the 4 adults and 2 children in our party, without feeling like we were on top of each other. The outside spaces were cozy, spacious, and perfect for outdoor family meals or a relaxing cup of coffee. We could have happily spent our entire trip just hanging out at the property, but the location is the best part! It's a 2 minute walk to Ocean Beach, where there's plenty of sand, surf, and shells. It's within walking distance to the year-round Ocean Beach farmer's market and trendy shops of the area. Mission Beach Boardwalk and the arcade, rollercoaster, and rides at Belmont park are just a quick 5 minute drive away. Even the downtown area is only about a 15 minute drive away. This is officially our new favorite place to stay in San Diego, and we cant wait to return! Thank you, Aaron, for the 5-star stay!

The house was very clean and had tons of outside room in the front and back. The layout of the house is a little funky. The back rooms have to walk through the primary room to get to the living room and kitchen or you have to walk around outside. Not a big deal, just a little different. The sound from the planes taking off from the airport is pretty loud and the main road is very close so you can hear the traffic from that. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rebook in the future.

At only 1/2 block from the beach and 3 blocks from Newport you can walk everyplace in the heart of OB. The house is clean, comfortable and well maintained with convenient private parking off the rear alley. No problems, just several relaxing enjoyable days. We didn't even mind the June Gloom because we're back home in the desert furnace dreaming of our next escape.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this property! The pictures are accurate, and the location can't be beat! Just a short half-block to the beach! The kitchen is well stocked, and the rooms comfortably accommodated our family. We love this place at Ocean Beach!

We had an awesome time at the house! Super close to the beach and loved having access to all the beach gear. Perfect for our family, the bedrooms all being joined didn’t bother us at all since it was us and our 4 kids. Only negative was the flies- so many of them, we couldn’t really enjoy the outdoor space. Not sure why there were so many. We had a great time otherwise and would recommend this house for sure.

Great property for anyone looking for a place to stay super close to the beach. The home is as listed, lots of room to sleep up to 8 people. Parking is tough if you have more than two cars but that should be expected only 1/2 a block from the beach during the summer.

We loved this place. We really enjoyed both outdoor spaces. We would drink coffee in the morning out in front and people watch. We would enjoy dinner and games in the back patio in the afternoon. It’s super close to the beach and restaurants and shops. Oh, and the couch and giant ottoman are super comfy.

Our family loves spending long weekends in San Diego. We typically stay at a 4 star hotel at Pacific Beach but the suite we usually get was not available. We have used Home Away for vacation rentals in the past so we checked and found this home at Ocean Beach. It was perfect! Everything our family needed at a fraction of the price!

The location is great, only a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is nice. The house was not cleaned very well or thoroughly, crumbs were left on the floor. It seemed the staff did not move anything to sweep under or behind. Paper products were very limited and we could only find one towel to use in the kitchen. Loved the area.

Mostly great house and near perfect location. The cleanliness was not what we would have hoped, but I’m looking through pandemic eyes, so may be judging more harshly than I normally would. Super fun, completely walkable location with just a moment’s walk to the beach. Lots of stores and restaurants within easy walking distance too. Comfortable beds and furniture, fun decor.

Our family of 5 stayed here along with our dog. We loved how close to the beach, about a block and half, was to this little home. The dog beach is very close by and our dog loved it. The wifi was good as my husband and i had to log in for work a few times. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked quite a bit and used the outdoor grill which looked pretty new. The front room gets pretty warm even when windows are opened. so be aware during July/Aug. We went in July which is hot even in San Diego.The bedrooms have a/c units and were very cool. The patio in back is a very nice space and cool to hang out in the evenings. There are a lot of flies outside though but we could deal with that. We could let our dog roam around once the people that rented the back house left with their dog. If someone rents at the same time there is no barrier to the back patios and could be a problem if both renters have dogs. The owners provided beach chairs/umbrellas and boogie boards and beach towels which was great. This a great little place for a getway and our family would love to return when the pandemic is over to explore more of the area.

Owner was very responsive and property was as described. The outdoor picnic area was nice and it was great to have laundry facilities onsite. Also the property was very well stocked with even shampoo/wash etc.

We have loved our time here in Ocean Beach and this beautiful property has been an awesome home for six months. We are steps away from the water and have enjoyed beautiful nightly sunset walks and sunny beach days through the winter. The property manager was fantastic, very responsive and super professional. Our family of five fit comfortably and the outdoor space was great too. We highly recommend staying here and we hope to return someday!

We had a great stay at this property. The bunk beds were great for my 5 and 6 year olds and the proximity to Ocean Beach was amazing. The property included really cool beach chairs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers, kitchen basics, and the beds were really comfortable. Like other reviewers, we had a problem with the door code when we first got to the property, but Aaron responded to my emails very quickly with the correct code. Communication with him was great throughout our stay!
