Sunny Mission Beach house steps to Ocean Bay

Location, location, location! Perfectly located between Mission Bay and Pacific Beach, easy walk to both. Close to countless restaurants and in particular literally 2 doors down from the Mission Cafe and their incredible breakfasts! The unit was spacious and comfortable and clean, and Aaron was an incredibly responsive host. It was a fantastic stay.

Great location in a vibrant stretch of north Mission Beach with countless restaurants within walking distance. The hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in an absolute breeze. We stayed here because we left our house due to wildfires. The hosts accommodated us on short notice and were very responsive to messages. Overall the place was comfortable and in a great location! We enjoyed walking on the boardwalk daily. As parents, we also appreciated the bunk bed room being two floors below the master! Thanks for a great stay!

We recently stayed at this charming three-level rental and had a wonderful experience overall. The property is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach, which was perfect for daily strolls and enjoying the ocean breeze. The master suite on the top level was spacious and came with a full bathroom, offering a peaceful retreat. Wonderful stay in a beautiful area! The home had a beautiful blend between modern and beach house charm. I greatly appreciated the pet friendliness of the stay as well - our dog loved it! Garage parking was great and easy. So nice to have as there is not much street parking. I was also able to check in an hour early which was helpful. After booking, I was sent a separate website to read from Vacation Rentals by Aaron. After arriving, there was an additional set of written instructions placed on a table for my pet. This was a bit confusing to have three sets of instructions to parse as they all had some differences. I recommend putting all the writing upfront in the AirBnB house rules so there’s no confusion/anxiety later on in the process.

Vanessa, thanks for the kind review. We do list the measurements of the garage on the ad (and recommend a small/short car to make it easier to use). WiFi was simply a matter of someone having unplugged the downstairs mesh hub so that was rectified. Say hello to one of the most pristine locations in mission Blvd. Steps away from mission beach and a quieter mission bay is even closer. Garage is a luxury and comes with a nice assortment of beach toys and umbrellas. Aaron is extremely friendly and helped me out with a booking issue, highly recommend.

Location, location, location!! this place sits right between two beaches that are walking distance. pros: Great location has a lot of space clean beach stuff available clean linen cons: a lot of flies and Nats. I know they can't do much about it, but it definitely was an issue. men's underwear in one of the cabinets and pubes left in the trashcan upstairs garage is small and had trouble getting the rental van in it, but was finally able to get in in between the cabinet and the washer/ dryer. internet was spotty very loud around the location. the master room is in the loft and there are tons of skylights that shine right on the head space of the bed early morning. no ac in the bottom room so the kids slept in the living room All in all, it was a good place and now that I know what to expect, I would consider going back back it's pretty pricey.

George, thank you for your review. You're right about flies and the beach; there's not much we can do there as they go hand-in-hand. But we've added fly traps to the lids in the garbage bins. I'm sorry about the clothing left behind from a previous guest; that should not have happened and we will bring it up with our cleaner. Glad you loved the location, as it is indeed tough to beat! Next time, please mention the internet issue during your stay and we'll be happy to troubleshoot with you. We've never had this complaint before, though, so I'm wondering if there was just a service interruption during the time of your stay. Take care! -VRBA

My family and 2 young children enjoyed our stay here. The location of this place was fantastic - walking distance to the bay and ocean; 2 min drive to Ralph’s; and great restaurants and coffee shops around the corner. As another reviewer pointed out, I wouldn’t get a large SUV as it may not fit under the garage. I didn’t have this issue but just wanted you all to be aware. This place had everything we needed for the beach! They also had an air fryer which was a plus! The place was easy to find and there were several emails/texts prior to our arrival which I appreciated. Overall, I’d recommend this place to others!

Everything was clean and lot of amenities. The only thing I would say is that don’t expect the downstairs room to be as big as it seems. It’s small and it’s the downstairs room. The other bedroom is in the third floor and it’s a loft. You can hear the downstairs and the upstairs. You either have noise in either room. The bunkbed room that seems to be for children it doesn’t have a TV but other than that I’ll give it a 5 stars. They have a loaded kitchen, garage, washer and dryer. Your own new kitchen sponge.. I would stay there again!!

We had a fantastic time here! I found this Airbnb to be super well cleaned. Everything worked well and it was so nice having the outdoor shower to clean off after the quick walk back from the beach. I would suggest not getting larger than a midsize sedan for the garage. the sizes discussed in the description, but I saw that someone else was not satisfied based on not fitting a bigger vehicle in there. I appreciated all the beach supplies provided, including sand toys, multiple chairs, and a couple boogie boards. One thing worth mentioning is the railing on the top master. The gaps were a bit wide. I traveled with a crawling baby, so I just had to keep him from that edge. It ended up not being an issue at all for us- but something that might be worth considering. There are lots of things that are walkable and endless amounts of things that are w/in a 15-20 min drive. Check in/ out was effortless and Aaron was very fast to communicate. I was very satisfied with this rental. Thx!

The house is in a great location close to lots of things. It’s also decently quiet for how close to the main road and beach it is. However parking was a pain. We have a normal size suv and it did not fit in the garage space so we ended up having to find parking elsewhere which was very hard or expensive. I would not recommend this house if you have a SUV/truck or taller vehicle. We paid over $200 to park.

LOCATION! The house is in a GREAT location. We did a ton of walking as we have teens who like to explore new places. We were steps from the bay, beach, and boardwalk. There are TONS of restaurants within walking distance - two of our favorites were Guava Beach Bar & Grill and Dirty Birds. There is a lot to see within a 20 minute drive in either direction also. This rental also has a washer and dryer with detergent pods and dryer sheets, which was SO convenient. The rental company was very responsive when contacted with questions. They also allowed us to store our luggage for a couple hours after checkout. My ONLY suggestions for improvement is to remove the carpet from the stairs & do a deep clean. There was a smell of mildew when we first entered, which appeared to be coming from the stairs. I assume it’s from prior renters walking in without drying off. There were also some areas that could have been cleaned a bit better. However, neither of these two things were a deal breaker.

We had a really nice stay for spring break with our 13 year old son. Super close to both beach and bay. Walkable to great food and coffee. Ralph’s grocery just 5 mins away. The house was perfect and cozy for the 3 of us and our two small pups .

Very nice location. The access to the bay and the beach are less tha a 5 minute walk. There are restaurants and coffee shops. Overal nice place, the kitchen was clean. I was thrown off that there weren't essentials like salt and pepper, but we bought some seasoning and left it behind for he next guests. It was really nice to have a washer/dryer. The cleanliness could be improved.

Great location, many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. My little family and I had a nice stay, we felt right at home! We loved our stay here. The garage is a huge bonus especially for how tricky parking can be in Mission Beach on a holiday weekend. Perfect location, beautiful home, loved the fact that there was 3 stories despite being small square footage, everyone in our group managed to have their own space and privacy. Aaron was an excellent host. The apartment looked exactly like photos and also looked newly updated. We had some issues with the Wi-Fi but Aaron was extremely proactive and came with a solution to fix the problem.

Architecturally interesting house in a fanastic location. Far enough off Mission Blvd to be quiet and close to the bay with a short walk to the beach. Just steps away from the Mission, one of our favorite breakfast places and across the street from some fine restaurants. It was a perfect getway for us.

Architecturally interesting house in a fanastic location. Far enough off Mission Blvd to be quiet and close to the bay with a short walk to the beach. The home is beautiful and is in an ideal, quiet location. It is close to both the bay and the ocean as well as many coffee shops and restaurants. The a/c in the home works well for the main floor and upstairs bedroom however there is not a unit in the downstairs bedroom and it stays warm, particularly on the top bunk with the window open and a fan. Of course this wouldn’t be a problem in the cooler months. We also had an issue with the water warming up in the downstairs shower, but the upstairs one worked well. The home was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

My husband, his parents and our two children (4 and 6) stayed here for about 5 days. The location was wonderful--250 steps from the gate to the beach (yes I counted!). The kitchen was well-stocked so we were able to cook meals at home. I appreciated that many of the bottles like shampoo/dish soap had been refilled (better for the environment) instead of purchased new. There were good beach chairs, beach towels and a boogie board. There were lots of shops/restaurants within 100 feet of the house. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Great location that is perfect for family fun, kids loved bunk beds and walking distance to the beach. If you renting a car get something compact, our regular cab Dodge Ram 1500 didn’t fit so I had to find street parking every time and that cab be challenging. Highly recommend this spot.

Nice place. Went well for our visit to the Bay with our grand kids over spring break. The kitchen is so well equipped. This matters to us because we cook most of our meals. Good coffee and breakfast places one block away. Garage fit a small SUV and our bikes. Glad the condo supplied enough beach chairs and towels as well as sand toys. We used the washer dryer too! Very comfortable.

This is an amazing house for a family. Great layout with nice kitchen and communal space on one level, bedrooms separated for quieter time. Two balconies and incredibly convenient garage parking. Close walk to bay and ocean, great restaurants, coffee, equipment rentals all near by. Clean and comfortable, very highly recommend this location!
