First, this guy is so nice! Super-responsive. Really a cool person. The location is walkable to the main areas. OB noodle was rad! Beach is nearby. House is all beach-ready. Super-fun! Easy to get everywhere. Rooftop deck is so beautiful! View from the upstairs is also amazing! Gorgeous sunsets. Ocean views. Palm trees. So good! There’s also tons of good games. Very cool bedroom arrangement- 3 down, 1 up. Here’s a few things to note: it’s right in a flight path so the planes are super-loud starting at 6:30am. There’s some sweet dogs next door, but they are barkers in the morning and evening. The house is a little dated- functional for sure, but funky in some ways. We really had a great time with our family, and we are grateful we were able to stay there. It’s a special place.

We had two small families stay here at the same time and we had more than enough space not to step on each other’s toes. This is a Beautiful home near the ocean. The balcony on the roof is out of this world! Absolutely stunning! This location for perfect for doing literally every activity in and San Diego. Being in the Ocean Beach neighborhood made this home the best of all worlds. The master bedroom is very open with a balcony as well. Awesome living room setup. All three bathrooms were spotless and taken care of. We will definitely be coming back to this one.

This property is an excellent place to stay for access to all of San Diego's attractions. It is in a comfortable suburban neighborhood and felt very safe. Easy to get to almost anywhere in SD in a half hour. View of the ocean from the home is even better than the photos. Bedrooms were a good size, especially the master, and beds were comfortable with quality linens. Bathrooms were roomy and clean, with great towels, washcloths, etc. Kitchen was well laid out and appliances easy to use. Well-stocked for silverware, dish towels, soap, trash bags, etc. Also had plenty of seasonings on hand. Wi-Fi was easy to connect to, and we appreciated the nice-sized TV. The home is near the San Diego airport, so airplane noise is a bit intrusion, especially in the early part of the morning. Be aware that our Google GPS directions guided us to the rear alley behind the house, but the driveway is physically on Narraganset Ave. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing location. Can relax & watch beach ( sunset) views from multiple places in the house , whether it be the front of the house / porch, rooftop , 2nd level , etc. We had 3 sets of families , felt spacious - well designed home. Walkable to the beach / Main Street. Definitely would stay again !

Aaron’s home was well-equipped and conveniently located to the beach, airport, downtown and the USMC’s MCRD. The rooftop deck is amazing with expansive ocean views. There are also ocean views from the living space on the second floor which allowed us to wake up to views from the primary suite. Sunrises and sunsets were magical. The hall closet was filled with beach gear and having a washer/dryer was convenient.

We had a great stay in San Diego! The host was very accommodating and even worked with us to adjust the cancellation deadline, which we truly appreciated. The home’s location is perfect close to the airport and MCRD which made travel to my sons graduation very convenient. The house itself is spacious and comfortable for our family of six. We loved the large floor plan and the beautiful windows that offered a view of the ocean. It’s an older home with a few quirks and areas that could use a bit of attention, but the host was very communicative and understanding about those details. Nothing hindered our stay in any way. The amenities were spot on everything we needed was provided. Even though we weren’t there for a beach vacation, the closet full of beach gear was a thoughtful touch. One thing to note is that the neighbor has three large but very friendly dogs. They love attention and pets but can be an early wake-up call if you’re not an early riser!

We loved the view of the Pacific from the upper deck and second floor. House looked like pictures and was very clean. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. House has multiple levels with lots of stairs but nice having all the space. Convenient to walk to restaurants and beach but the hill back to the house is tough for those of us that live on flat land. We enjoyed walks in the neighborhood near the house. Great stay and we hope to rent again on a future trip.

We were six family members in town for a long-weekend celebration of life for a brother that was held a few blocks from the house. The house had an immense amount of room and was a calm and restful hub -- we were able to host a couple of dinners for other family members, which was really nice. It was also nice that the house was slightly removed from the commercial heart of Ocean Beach but also close enough to walk for groceries and cafes, and even down to the water. We found everything in place and ready to go upon arrival, which, given the circumstances, was really important.

One issue prevented the overall rating from being a "5": the instructions on putting out garbage and recyclables were not clear. The garbage bins were in the back alley, not on the side of the house. It seems like the bins had been misplaced for a while because there was trash strewn about the area where they should have been. To his credit, Aaron sent his team over to take care of the problem when I brought it to his attention. Other than the issue with trash, the place was great - comfortable, good location, and easy to access.

John, thanks for the feedback. We have a trash caddy service that brings the bins to the alleyway and then takes them back to the side of the house after collection day. Your stay fell on collection day so that is why the bins were in the alley. Glad this was your one and only "issue" during your stay, though! Come back soon! -VRBA

My family of seven had a fantastic stay at the Narragansett Ave house. The location was a perfect balance of peaceful and convenient, with a short walk to great restaurants, cafes, shops, and the beach. We especially enjoyed the roof deck, where we could relax and enjoy beautiful sunsets and even catch the SeaWorld fireworks after dark. The house itself was well-equipped for a family, with a fully stocked kitchen and a large dining table that made preparing and sharing meals easy. We also loved the various indoor and outdoor spaces, which allowed us to comfortably relax and socialize in both large and small groups. The provided beach chairs and towels were a great bonus, and the host, Aaron, was very responsive to our questions. Overall, the house felt like a home away from home and provided everything we needed for a memorable family vacation.

We live locally and needed a place while our spot got fumigated but let me tell you, if I was visiting Ocean Beach, this is the exact place I’d want to stay! Overall our stay was good. The place was very much what was described. It was private and peaceful. The house itself was clean and had most everything we needed. The view from the rooftop was spectacular! However, we were disappointed that the rooftop patio was not clean. We understand that being outside it wouldn't be spotless but since it was a significant selling point, we expected it to at least start out relatively clean. We were also disappointed in downtown Ocean Beach as it was not clean and there were sketchy people. We felt safe walking around the immediate neighborhood but not so much downtown. Be warned that there are a lot of steep hills in the area.

Great place with a lovely rooftop deck that provides a magnificent view of the ocean in the distance--the blocks to the ocean are LONG--but, it is walkable and a great coffee shop and neighborhood grocery with tasty selections in their extensive deli across the street from the coffee shop. One caution to consider: The three bedrooms downstairs (that do sleep six) share one bathroom, and the second bathroom is an in-suite upstairs, so it is not terribly accessible to folks sleeping downstairs. Other than that inconvenience, it was a lovely place to stay with a well-equipped kitchen and had the bonus of lots of beach towels, boogie boards, etc.

Had a great long weekend stay. Really well stocked. Nicely decorated clean very comfortable. Plenty of views despite the fog trying to ruin it! The roof deck is spot on. Highly recommended and will be looking forward to rebooking in the future. Also took advantage of the private chef. Great job.

We really enjoyed ourselves! I would recommend this place. The beds were great! We thoroughly enjoyed walking to the cliffs in the AM. Very well decorated. It was for my wife's birthday and she was thrilled about her trip. My issues are very small and probably do not affect others. I asked for a few recommendations and was pointed back to the website. We were in a new city and as an airbnb host myself, I would have sent over a few places for the occasion. Not a big deal. Also, and this is more my issue, a $460 cleaning fee is high especially when you still have to clean/take out trash before you leave. It is a reasonable request to ask to take out the trash and we are happy to clean before we leave,but with a hefty cleaning fee, IMHO it just it felt a bit more of a hit especailly when they are coming to clean moments after we leave. Now, that being said, the place is beautiful and was quite comfortable for my family.

Our website is an amazing hub of information that includes restaurant recommendations, a list of guest services we provide and local businesses we've partnered with (including a private chef!). The team member who directed you to the site did so in order to give you the most valuable information, not to dismiss you. Sorry for the misunderstanding! In regards to the cleaning fee, we do pay our cleaner a livable wage for Southern California. Sometimes our cleaner can't make it to the property immediately after a guest's departure due to scheduling issues, so that's why we ask guests to take their garbage just outside to the bins so that flies and bad odors can be avoided. The property was really well located and the views were great!! The interior was very clean and all accessories were available (beach chairs, boards, etc...) Loved this place. Great amenities, and although a bit windy and overcast :( we loved the rooftop deck and view. Aaron was responsive and communicated clearly and the house was very clean. Could walk to restaurants - although homecoming is uphill, so be aware of that ;) Overall we all (6 of us) really, really loved this house.

We’ve been coming to San Diego for many years and love the Ocean Beach area. It is full of locally owned shops and coffee shops and restaurants. It’s quirky and unique and fun. Aaron‘s house is just a couple blocks walk from the main area Newport Avenue (we personally prefer staying a couple blocks away from the hubbub of Newport as it is a nicer & quieter area). We walked to the beach every day. It’s about a 15 minute walk. This is the first time we’ve stayed in Aaron‘s house. It was just as described on the listing. It was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. One plus is the bedrooms have split air conditioners, which is nice if you’re in San Diego in the summer as many houses do not have air-conditioning. The views from the upstairs and the balcony on the roof were unparalleled! And best of all Aaron was exceedingly responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!

Our extended family of 7 stayed in the house for three nights in July. The layout of the home worked well for us, with enough privacy for all, in addition to spacious common areas for hanging out. The rooftop view and amenities were amazing; we could catch the nightly Sea World fireworks from there. There were thoughtful amenities throughout, including a fully stocked kitchen suited for cooking meals at home, tons of equipment for the beach (even several kinds of sunscreen!), more than enough towels for our group, and hotel-like bathroom supplies. Location was convenient to Ocean Beach and its restaurants and shops. Best of all, the host agency was very responsive via text and AirBnB messaging. Instructions for arrival came a few days before our stay, and they responded quickly to the few needs we had during the weekend. I'd definitely book with this host again!

My extended family and I stay in San Diego every summer. This was our first time staying in Ocean Beach. This home was impressive compared to other places we’ve stayed. Every detail was well thought out with the vacationer in mind. It was well furnished, nicely decorated, and highly functional. Perfect for the 7 of us and our small dog! The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed when we wanted to eat in. There were lots of comfortable family areas to gather. The outdoor spaces were spacious and the deck was amazing for soaking in the sun and sea breezes. Heading to the beach? There were ample beach chairs, boogie boards, and sun protection to take along with you. Seriously - this place has it all. The next time I come to San Diego I want to stay with Vacation Rentals by Aaron. I know the place will be special and all our needs will be well cared for.

Our stay at Aaron’s home was wonderful! It was the perfect sized home for our friend group of 8 people. There were so many things to do in the area and a lot of it is walkable. We had our whole family together for my son's graduation and Aaron's house was the perfect size and location to accommodate everyone's plans. The house had many locations for everyone to gather or find a quiet moment. There was no parking issues and the neighbors where very friendly.

My main goal when I arrived was to enjoy a beverage sitting on top deck cause the view was beautiful. The house felt like home and we wanted to stay longer. The only negative was the flight pattern almost over our head, we come from a small town in Arizona and not use to city life, but the proximity made up for it. The beach view, city lights, fun shopping, coffee/pastries and the zoo; all in all we would book again.

We loved this beautiful home! The location was amazing- close to the beach- shopping & great restaurants! The house was spacious and all of the details were very well thought out. We really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back. The only difficulty we had (nothing to do with the owners or airbnb at all-just a tip) was that google maps sent us to the alley behind the house when we got there but the photos of the house on airbnb helped us sort it out and it faces streetside. The rooftop deck was stunning and well appointed and the views from there and the living room were not to be missed. everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a great family meal and love the location in OB!

Really enjoyed our stay in San Diego. The house was in an excellent location and the views from the room and terrace was gorgeous. The rooms were clean and there was a great family sitting room where the whole group could enjoy. I really liked how Aaron and team kept us abreast of things and was extremely responsive to text. This place is fantastic. The Rooftop Patio has some of the best views in all of San Diego. The split between the living room (2nd floor) and the kitchen (1st floor), means you have two separate places to hang out inside. Everything in the house was brand new, and working perfectly. You will not be disappointed with this place. The hosts are fantastic, and very responsive. It was a breeze checking in, getting inside, and checkout was just as easy. Highly Recommended!

A great place to stay in San Diego. The views from the 2nd floor and roof deck were simply outstanding. A couple of sets of stairs, but well worth the climb. The location was terrific; a nice residential neighborhood with quick and easy access to Ocean Beach, Point Loma, Sea World and downtown San Diego. The house has plenty of space, is well appointed and is very clean. The description in the VRBO listing is quite accurate. Highly recommend this home for a stay in San Diego.
