We had the pleasure of staying in both of the units at the lime green oasis. They are well stocked, comfortable, clean and you can’t beat the location! We used the common deck one night and grilled and we could find anything we needed. The igniter did not work on the grill, but there was a lighter in the apartment and it lit right up. Check in/check out app with all of the details was super helpful. It was wonderful to have a parking spot.

Host - Aaron was absolutely delightful to work with as a host and incredibly responsive. He helped with anything we needed and made scheduling our vacation seamless. Location & House - This house made me fall in love with San Diego. Waking up to the sound of waves and having your morning coffee on the beach is truly magical. Aaron also provided many thoughtful extras not mentioned in the listing that were extremely helpful, such as cooking spices, sunscreen, and plenty of towels. This home really made us feel at home. So beautiful, it doesn't get any better than this! Gorgeous full ocean front views from the front door balcony, front glass door, kitchen breakfast bar, living room, private balcony, master bedroom, and downstairs deck! Gasp! Beautifully renovated and decorated with all brand new modern furniture with nostalgic touches that capture the style and charm of this lovely beach home. Photos are accurate! After many years of camping with little ones on the beach, my husband and I were able to fully relax in this beach house while our now adult children, their spouses & friends went freely in and out on their own schedules. Enjoying the beach and the ocean front walk... walking, jogging, onewheeling, biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, eating places, shopping, etc. We loved the privacy that the second floor provided. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook/bake. Two bathrooms were so nice for our large family & guests. We are a tall family and appreciated the high shower heads! For parking we fit two vehicles, small and mid-sized, no problem. Aaron & Kara are perfect and accommodating hosts, promptly answering all questions to ensure a wonderful stay. We loved every minute and are already recommending this place to family & friends! We may have left a little piece of our hearts there... hope to be back sometime soon!

The location was great. Aaron was very responsive. Parking was a challenge. If you have a full/midsized vehicle, plan to spend some time driving around looking for overnight parking (especially if you check in on the weekend), because you won’t be able to park onsite. We had to park a little over a half a mile away and took around 20-25mins to find a spot. Not a deal breaker for sure, just plan ahead for it. We were able to unload our luggage at the property and then find parking and walk back. The interior was very clean and comfortable, however the outdoor spaces need some TLC to make it feel clean and inviting. Overall, we would definitely stay again.

Jesse, apologies about the parking, however, we clearly indicate that fact in the advertisement. Most beach parking is really tight so we always recommend a small to midsize car. We wish you had contacted us because beach parking has some unknown loopholes so we could have definitely gotten you closer parking in the alley. We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Just as pictured, so well equipped, a great host, and that view! The deck furniture could use some updating, and unfortunately we could hear every sound from the downstairs apartment, especially from the middle bedroom (literally every word of their conversation) so if there were especially noisy neighbors down there it would definitely spoil the enjoyment of the place but obviously that is completely out of Aaron’s hands so no reflection on him. Other than that we loved everything about this place, its mesmerizing view and the ability to walk right onto the beach is amazing. Aaron was so accommodating with us potentially having our young grandchildren to stay, which was appreciated even though it actually didn’t happen. We loved Molly’s for coffee and brunch, such a cute place, also Olive Cafe and bakery, both an easy walk away. There is a well stocked convenience store on the main street opposite Molly’s and so many places to eat close by.

We loved out time at this location. The views are excellent and just what we expected. Very close to everything we wanted and needed for our vacation. Beds were comfortable and kitchen is very functional. I would definitely stay again. Only suggestion would be to keep the living room furniture current and upgraded as needed.

Wonderful location. The house is a bit tired. Not recommended for anyone with a huge SUV. Unclear that you need to pass thru another bedroom to get to the Master bedroom.

We do indicate that parking is tight (it is generally tight all over the beach so large vehicles are never recommended). Perfect house for for us, 8 adults 2 children and dog, and still plenty of room, patio held all of us, beautiful watching the ocean and sunsets and the downstairs patio with huge table a great bonus. House very clean and plenty of towels and beach towels and chairs and kids loved the boogie boards and the “big kids” had a blast with surf boards. Parking great for our big SUV and another car and Ron quickly found more parking for 2 more vehicles, he is a very responsive landlord and allowed us to check in early and leave late, thank you so much, we will definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience and Ron was very accommodating even moving locations so that my 75 year old parents could be in a ground level unit right on the boardwalk! Would definitely rent this unit again. It is in a great location and has lifeguard chairs that are perfect for people watching and relaxing on the patio. The parking was better than most places on the beachfront with a 2 car garage. Thanks Ron for making our trip and my dad’s 75th one to remember!

Over-all this is a very nice property. We really enjoyed being able to watch the sunset right from the balcony and an easy hop over the wall, and we were in the sand. My only disappointment was the balcony; rusty table, broken screens for the patio doors, one place on the floor, in front of the grill, made me feel like I could fall through the floor. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms with plenty of nice towels.

This is our 3rd time at this location. The last 2 stays we've rented the whole house. Our group ranged in ages from 12 to 92 years old as well as a dog. Whether playing on the beach, hanging out on the deck or checking out the shops and restaurants, everyone had a great time. The house is clean with plenty of towels and bedding. Ron is great to work with. He's very friendly and willing to help in any way possible. We had some friends stop by, he was able to provide an extra parking spot for them. The property has surf boards boogie boards, beach chairs and wet suits. I would highly recommend this property for your vacation get a way.

Great location on the beach and beach walk and by 10pm all you can hear is the crashing of the waves even over a holiday weekend. Close to fun " divey" bars and restaurants. The property itself is a little divey its self but it's clean enough and the landlord was super responsive when one of the showers darin was backed up. What you're paying for is beach access and viewsif you're expect luxury it might miss the mark.

We had a great stay! The reviews and photos online were accurate. The house was perfect for what we needed and the sunset views were amazing! We were able to walk to restaurants, the beach is steps away, and the boardwalk is right outside your door. We drove to the zoo, downtown to Petco Park and to La Jolla Cove... everything seemed to only be 20-30 minutes away. We got quick responses when we needed them and I would stay here again if I return to San Diego! You will want a small car for the parking spot that is available behind the house. My only other suggestion would be a new screen door for the patio and cleaning the glass windows.

Stayed at this house during the week (M-F) with my kids (ages 7 and 9) and family. The location can't be beat! I was worried about the noise from the boardwalk/path in front of the house because I'm a light sleeper, but it was a total non-issue. The house isn't the most luxurious, but being able to walk right onto the beach and watch my kids from the window made up for it. The parking spot is super tight, but we could walk to everything so it wasn't a big deal.

The location was amazing! Everything in the VRBO description was on point! I loved everything about the property. It had all the basic amenities you needed from pans, silverware and dishes. Parking was extremely tight but we made it work. The location felt very safe and the neighbors were very respectful. The only disappointment was the response for additional items. Property manager made it very clear to contact for anything anytime. First I decided to text the phone number in book at location and got no response. So I forwarded my original text to property manager and asked if he could help. I was having a hard time with grill and all we needed was a dish rag, additional face towels (had a party of 6, with 4 face towels) and surface cleaning spray. He responded by letting me know I needed to start the gas grill by lighting each side with lighter, LOL! Then told me he had a broken ankle and was out of commission but ask the maids for the towels. I asked how to get a hold of maids and had gotten no response. We decided to just go buy the additional items.

I wish there were sharper knives cutting veggies was hard also tops to pans other than that the house was a dream. The lower renters were a bit weird about us going into garage to get stuff I'm not sure they knew it was shared. Also we did not see the little hose at first at the bottom of stairs but glad we did. The house gets hot but the fans and ocean breeze really helped! I left.my sand toys I had purchased in san diego during my trip for the next family because there wasn't much in garage so I hope the next guest can enjoy them! I loved this house and the host was so incredibly nice not that we needed to call him often but when we did he was very attentive and helpful. I hope to return to this house again!

Upper level on the boardwalk steps to the beach. You can't do better for your money. The master bedroom is on the beach side so you hear the waves all night. The balcony is great and the side deck is a nice added bonus. Parking is very tight but that is to be expected. All the beach amenities you could want. We had a great week. Ron was immediately responsive to all questions prior to arrival and the one question we had while there. He was a pleasure to deal with and this condo is excellent.

My family has spent a wonderful week in this vacation rental for the past two summers, and we are hoping to make it a third summer in 2014. We are hooked on Ron's vacation house! What we all like the most is the terrific oceanfront location, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the unit, and the comfortable, functional furniture. The layout works well for both adults and kids. The upstairs balcony is great for keeping an eye on kids and teens on the beach and boardwalk in the evenings, while the adults enjoy conversation, cocktails, and beautiful sunsets. The downstairs deck provides plenty of space for outdoor meals and people-watching. The kids love bike-riding and skate-boarding on the boardwalk, football and volleyball on the beach, swimming, boogie-boarding, body-surfing in the waves, and the opportunity to make new friends and just be kids. The rental is located within easy walking distance of both the Crystal Pier and Belmont Park, allowing for a leisurely stroll to the many local restaurants and entertainment venues. There is a large grocery store nearby. The well-stocked kitchen enabled us to save $$ by cooking many of our meals "at home". We all bonded over our nightly trek to get ice cream cones after dinner, plus the walking helped the extra pounds stay off. (I actually lost 3 pounds during the week due to all the walking and fun activities). There also were plenty of towels and sufficient bedding for everyone. The move-in/move-out process was seamless. And the parking is a bonus. This rental is highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a comfortable, non-fussy vacation experience. You will have a blast!

Perfect location on the beach. Clean and comfortable. Easy check in. Easy to communicate with host. Chairs and umbrellas and beach toys available. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

We loved our stay at the green house. The bedrooms perfectly accommodated 4 adults and 3 kids. The rooms were a good size, especially the master room, and closets were so spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The location couldn’t be better—right on the water with spectacular views and in between the pier and Belmont park (which tend to be a little noisier.) There were lawn chairs and boogie boards that we could use inside the garage. It was the perfect getaway for our family and we will definitely be back!

Overall our stay was good. The location was fantastic. The space itself was very nice, however, there were a few everyday household objects that were missing, for example, no batteries in the remote control, no tissues anywhere in the house, many of the outlets did not work, etc. That being said we were able to text about some of these things and the response time was great and the issues were taken care of. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were pretty nice (updated showers, etc). There were definitely some cleanliness issues. The fans were all filthy and the floors didn't seem to have been scrubbed in a while. All in all I would certainly recommend this place but hopefully reviews like these help the owners prepare the place a little better for their next guests.

Great house to catch up with family! Kids loved the access to the beach and the adults loved the sunsets and relaxing atmosphere. Everyone loved the proximity to local attractions. Sorry to see the week come to an end.

The location for this property is awesome. Directly above the boardwalk and within walking distance of most anything in Pacific or Mission Beach. We had great nights and days out on the deck. People watching, enjoying drinks and food. House itself was perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfortable. Small but adequate kitchen. Both bathrooms are nice and look to have been updated. The reason I did not give it 5 stars are because there a few things with this place to be aware of. Parking space is very small and my car barely fit(all passengers had to get out before parking). You had to be very careful backing out of the spot and you had no room for error. Stove and cooktop are from the 1970s, adequate but could use updating. Grill on deck is quite worn and could use replacing. It did work fine and We did manage to grill some steaks one night. Those were just a few nitpicks....Overall this place is great! Would love to come back again.

We stayed in this house for 5 nights with our family and it was perfect. The house had everything we needed and the sand and ocean were right outside our steps. The property manager responded to all our questions and needs and helped make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely return in the future. The location was close to tons of stuff which made it nice to get coffee or drinks nearby. We highly recommend this house!

This place was fantastic, the location is perfect.We rented a car for our stay and used it twice. Everything you need is within walking distance or simply rent a beach cruiser within 2 blocks of the house. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that we had some appliance issues when we first arrived but Ron's right hand gal had new appliances delivered within a day and a half. The parking is super skinny so hopefully you drive a mini Cooper.

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in San Diego for the location. We loved being on Mission Beach. It was a very relaxing place to stay. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for the seven of us. The master bedroom is very large and both bathrooms (as have been mentioned before) were very nice. The hardwood floors could use some sanding and resurfacing but I can understand how hard it would be too keep a property in top shape this close to the ocean. We fought sand and found ourselves sweeping up a lot. Had there been an outdoor shower like the neighbors had, we would have not been fighting the sand so much. As was mentioned in a previous review the parking for the unit is very, very tight. We had difficulty navigating our Honda minivan into the space provided. The laundry was very convenient in the garage. The folks renting the downstairs unit only had one car so it was easy to get into the garage to do the laundry. We would gladly stay in this location again. It's so close to a grocery store we found ourselves walking everywhere rather than trying to move the car more than necessary. On day we did move the car to go up the coast a bit and when we returned someone from another unit was blocking the drive and we had to go search for them to move their car so we could get back into our parking space.

My family loved this spot. Midway between PB and Mission Beach spots, great for bike rides to either. GREAT sunset views. Only complaints are: parking too tight; and the upper deck furniture is old and worn-could be so much nicer with a few hundred in new furniture there!

My family of four (all adult size) had a wonderful time in this rental. Yes the parking spot is small but you are on the boardwalk so it is to be expected, I was able to park my suburban in the spot with some additional maneuvering. The bedrooms are spacious and the kitchen was stocked just fine for our family. The living room is the smallest room of the home but the attached balcony provides plenty of seating for relaxing without a TV and the deck on the main level is huge. We were able to spend a lot of time on the deck and still see our kids on the beach without an issue. We brought four beach cruisers, a paddle board, and tons of beach toys and chairs and had no problem storing all of our toys between the deck and the landing up stairs. The way the property is set up, you do not even really know you have a neighbor downstairs. Hands down great location and we will rent here again.

We enjoyed the house very much. The ocean view and the patio were perfect. The house is on the older side and just the basics which is perfect for the beach. Parking was great. We were able to fit two SUV's the tandem spots (X5 and Sequoia). Only complaint is it could have been cleaner. The cupboards were dirty and some of the stuff in the kitchen needed to be washed before it could be used. The floors were already covered in sand on arrival.

We enjoyed our time we wanted to clean up a little bettter but there was not a broom on the property. I would stay there again. Glad we rented a smaller car because parking is tight.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay on our short trip in Mission Beach! The location is perfect, we saw the most beautiful sunsets from the balcony and the kids enjoyed the short hop and skip to the beach! We walked to breakfast and dinner. The inside was clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to go back!

This house is perfectly located between World Famous and Belmont Park, the quieter area of the beach. Bedrooms are spacious and recently remodeled, the kitchen is small but appliances are new and shiny. We had a great time, it's like having your own private beach!
