Kara’s place was very close to the beach, super clean, and she’s a very responsive host! The only downside is the house gets very warm due to limited air flow and only one portable a/c unit in the living room. But I would def stay here again!

Pros Kara Is very communicative And responsive. No false advertising here. You get what you are looking at. The place had some really thoughtful Facilities Like the beach towels and the Foldable chairs. Had a wide assortment of kitchen equipment that makes your stay comfortable. The location is decent, Garnet Ave. Looks like it's going through some changes with quite a few shops boarded up, but there are some excellent shops available in the neighborhood, such as Deserts by Clement, Which is the place I went to every single day I stayed at this location. Cons The coffee machine is not working properly, and the microwave plate does not spin. Not sure if the neighbors are full time residents or other vacationers but they had very noisy kids And were a little disruptive to otherwise a calm and peaceful area. The bedroom felt a little stuffy. Nothing that some open windows cannot fix.

Jayesh, thank you for the thoughtful and thorough review. Neighbor is the owner who normally only has himself and his elderly wife in residence but your dates overlapped with a middle school, high school and college graduation so they had lots of family over for the June happenings. I was in San Diego to visit family, so unit was fine for that purpose. As others commented, it was a little musty, but that was due to no airflow and not due to lack of cleanliness. The only problem I had was the app she used for the check in was hard to navigate and I never found the check in and wifi details. But Kara and her property manager were quick to respond.

Jeanette, sorry for the smell. As you can imagine, in the winter especially, we leave the units closed up and (sometimes) they can be vacant for longer periods so they can get a little stale. Glad our cleanliness met your standard! We have worked with our vendor and made the app more user-friendly and the guests are very appreciative of the fact that all the property info is available at their fingertips. Right from the start, Kara’s place was above and beyond. The check in instructions came right away, a couple of nights before our stay, and the place was exactly as pictured. What isn’t pictured are the wonderful array of pots and pans, exotic silverware, truly an incredible amount of furnishing for the kitchen; nor the high quality of the towels and the linens — super comfortable and soft. The bed is SO comfortable, as simple as the frame is the mattress is very very nice and we slept like a dream. Complete with washer and dryer and as I said a FULL kitchen (rolling pin for baking? cheese grater??!) with Trader Joe’s just a 2 minute drive down the block, you could walk it. We walked down to the Pier, to watch the sun set into the sea each day. Kara’s place was, quite literally, a home away from home. We stayed here for a business trip, but it felt like a real vacation for my fiancé and I, and we ACTUALLY can’t wait to stay here again. She loved it so much she didn’t want to leave!

We came to town to surprise our daughter. Not knowing her guest room was already occupied. I jumped on Airbnb and found this little gem. It was everything we needed. you are able to walk to restaurants, beaches and the bay. There is a designated parking spot. We will definitely try to book this space in the future.

This pacific Gem is truly a Gem in pacific beach! Being a zone in which a lot of people spend time during late afternoon and early night, some noise can be heard if the desire is to rest early! However, being in a zone so active allows you to move without the need of a car! Hence, it depends on who you’re but for sure, the location of this AirBnb is a key point! Everything as described on description / photos! Just couple of things to warn: - Unfortunately missing a dishwasher, that could be useful on mid/long stay - Bed structure a bit noisy Thanks Kara for your immediate response on chat!

Kara è un host estremamente attenta e reattiva rispetto ai bisogni dei suoi ospiti. Durante il soggiorno le abbiamo chiesto alcune dotazioni e riparazioni e ce le ha fornite immediatamente. Posizione della casa buona per una bella passeggiata in riva all’oceano e per godersi la spiaggia ma un po’ rumorosa per la presenza di un drive through proprio attaccato e di molte case nelle immediate vicinanze. The unit was nice and cozy as described in the listing. The area was nice, not super crowded, and we had no issue coming and going on the surrounding streets. It was walking distance to a couple grocery stores which was super convenient! It was also walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. I would say if you’re walking to the beach I wouldn’t carry a lot of items as it could be a pain. The walk is a good 10-15 minutes but it’s a straight shot. It’s definitely worth the price difference then staying at a location closer to the beach. I would definitely stay at this location again!

Our stay at Kara’s apartment was amazing. The amenities matched with the pictures - actually it was even better than we thought - and the location was perfect, we could do a lot of things around our place by walking. The kitchen has all utensils and both the bed and sofa are comfortable to sleep. Thanks Kara for being quickly responsive.

I enjoyed my stay! The hosts were accommodating, responsive & kind, which I very much appreciated. The Airbnb is well located, right off Garnet surrounded by lots of food options and only a 15 min walk to the beach. The space is cozy, clean, well decorated and has comfy amenities like nice towels, washcloths, coffee, etc. The window AC helps cool things down. I recommend for a single traveler or couple!! Great location, right off a busy street with plenty of restaurants and bars. Grocery store and 7-eleven just a block away. The beach is a 15-minute walk. The room is clean, tidy, and well stocked with amenities. Super easy check-in too. The AC is pretty loud but works well when you hook it up to the window.

Great location. The apt. was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Loved having a parking spot. Great decor. Ample supplies for a nice stay. Very responsive to messages. My only complaint is how noisy the bed is. Extremely squeaky with the slightest movement. The mattress is comfortable. Maybe invest in a new box spring or frame.

This was our first venture with a short-time rental, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. It has a great location in Mission Bay, close to everything we wanted to go to. A grocery store is one block away. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was refreshing. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We would go to this property again.

We took a quick weekend trip & decided to stay at this place. The communication with the owner was amazing! He was quick to reply and easy to reach. The location cannot be beat! A quick .5 mile straight shot to the beach with tons of restaurants & shops all around. It was wonderful to have a parking spot as well although we pretty much walked everywhere. The apartment was perfect! It was updated & super clean & comfortable. The bed was great and the shower was awesome! They provide all the little extras that are so nice to have so all you need to bring is your clothes! We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great time staying at this property. It had everything we needed to stay comfortable. We were an easy 10-15 minute walk from the beach and had no shortage of exciting activities within walking distance. Having a spot to park the rental car was very convenient to not have to mess with parking. The location felt very central as well as most everything we wanted to drive to was only about 15 minutes away. Would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to visit.

This is a small, inexpensive (by San Diego standards), minimalist unit in the heart of Pacific Beach, utile, but by no means lavishly-appointed. It was perfect for my husband and me, though, as he loved logging 10+ miles a day walking along beach boardwalk. We also spent a lot of time visiting daughter at Univ of San Diego (gorgeous school), at SD Taproom across street (wonderful selection of breads and stone-fired pizza was awesome), San Diego Botanic Gardens (beautiful) and Encinitas Street Fair (fun!). San Diego is not for spending time inside anyway. This unit is perfect for couples hoping to spend a lot of time outside enjoying sights and sounds of San Diego.

This apartment is on an alley behind a busy street, but given that, it was a nice quiet place. Off street parking is necessary and it is great that it is available. It is on the ground floor and step free to enter in case stairs are a challenge. It has everything you need for a good night's sleep and breakfast, lots of eating options a walk away and a Sprouts right on the corner. Clean and simple. I would stay again.

Our stay here went smooth from check in through check out. We were in town for a soccer tournament and staying here was cheaper than any hotel room in the area and much closer to the beach. While only a 15 minute walk to Pacific Beach itself, there are numerous restaurants, bars, and grocery stores within a 5 minute walk, making this location very convenient. Inside is very spacious and the pull out sofa/bed was surprisingly comfortable for my 13yr old daughter to sleep on.

This vrbo is perfect for an easy going group of 2. Great location, you can get almost everything you need within 3 blocks and the parking is a plus! It was super clean and felt very relaxing to come back to. Host was great and communicative. Would definitely stay again :)

This is a cute little place walking distance from any and everything you could need including beach would even pay a bit more for bicycle to be available would have been nice. Overall was perfect for what I needed.

My friends and I stayed for a couple days, the location is amazing and we walked to the beach each day hitting restaurants and shops on the way. It was just enough room for 3, the second bed provided is an air mattress which was fine for us.
